We're a year deep into it. If they ain't wearin' it right by now, you won't be able to teach 'em. Just wear your own, get vaccinated, and give thanks for being able to easily identify people you should avoid even after the pandemic passes.

Afro, we tried our best to make our son proud of his afro hair. It was a long and tiresome stressful journey. We searched and watched all video about kids being proud of their afro. Then came Trevor I was watching on of Trevor's shows my son looked and said, Papa he looks like me. Thank you Trevor my son is 12 now he is so proud of his colour and his hair. Thank you

He's a psychiatrist so he doesn't usually see physically sick people but he's still an actual medical doctor (not a psychologist, who should obvious know better too even if not a medical doctor) who should absolutely know how to wear a mask. I haven't left because it's a big hassle to request another specialist once you've finally gotten a permanent contract.
Still that's either a wish for his own death or yours and not the best person to take psychology related advice from...
Half the psychology majors at any college need therapy they haven't gotten yet.

I have yet to go buy groceries in the WHOLE last year and see everyone wearing their masks properly. A YEAR and an average of one grocery trip a week without everyone in store properly masked.

Here's the problem; mean people keep expecting me to read something or see something while I am wearing entirely fogged glasses when my mask is over my nose.
You know, funny thing about people that wear a mask under the nose is that technically they're protecting other people from their mouth but they're the ones who are going to end up getting sick because their nose is uncovered
Not entirely true. The virus can still pass through their nose when they exhale. The nose and mouth are connected at the back of your throat, that's why a mask is meant to cover both at once, not just one or the other.
Nose-nudists are mouth breathers. That's why they don't cover their nostrils.

I'm well aware of my particular brand of hypocrisy. I've tried to justify it to myself through the fact that I really can't leave the house much during the pandemic due to health issues, but I probably could have obtained most of the stuff I needed if I'd tracked things down on other websites.
I've been following the union drive at the Bessemer fulfillment center pretty closely and am really hopeful that it'll be the start of greater union representation for Amazon workers. It seems like the best chance we've got at forcing Amazon to at least treat its employees like people.
No matter how much human misery is involved in a tragedy there will be at least one (usually a lot more than just one) corporation who will make profit off of it.

So it would make people happier if someone just took away Jeff Bezos' Amazon stock as it grows in value? I get being jealous, I'm guilty of that myself, but I really don't understand the frenzy of hate inspired by this particular issue... If this many people think the man's crazy financial success is _that_ morally despicable, I think the justification has to go further than just the "that's so unfair" complaint that I've seen thrown around.

I've been buzz cutting my hair since 2016. Get a high quality electric hair trimmer (Conair don't cut it) and when your hair is so long you can't stand it, buzz buzz buzz and it is all the same length and feels great. Then watch it grow.
I have so much envy for people who can look socially-acceptable with a buzz-cut. I'm a 40-year-old white lady with a (presumably) weird-shaped skull. A buzz-cut is not likely to do me any favors, even if it would be really convenient.

Also, I disagree. Not everyone is amazon-dependent; I have never used amazon and know several others who do not use it. There are other perfectly reliable providers of products and services.

I loooove how ignorant about economics people truly are. It has been known for a long, long time that if you offer a valuable service, have money to invest in a stark economy, and time.... your wealth will grow astronomically.
In 13 months $997 that I had invested grew roughly 2,710%. I'll leave it to anybody with half a brain to figure out what the figures became as of March 31st.
It's sad that instead of worrying about what they're doing, and getting creative, or just thinking critically about what THEY can do... they'd rather cry and moan and protest what happens when brilliance is brought to a free market.
If I can get to where I am, with my past... then anybody can at least live and retire comfortably.

Most people shouldn't be going to a salon or barbershop right now in the US, even if your state/locale has reopened them up. It's still a pretty risky activity, particularly in areas that are already experiencing case spikes like much of Michigan. It's not so much about being "scared" of COVID as it is being respectful of others and reducing transmission. Remember that the point of wearing a mask and social distancing is mostly to protect _other people._
Honestly, I am pretty sure that more viewers are a fan of the hair than the cut, so it probably isn't worth the bother unless/until they go back to the studio

@@bboy76421 The scientific literature is pretty clear about how masks effectively lower rates of transmission of the novel coronavirus. (I can post some citations, if you'd like.) The same goes for social distancing and temporary lock-downs.
