The best time to go out, pre bug and cold enough to keep most people at home. Moved from Michigan to Colorado and I miss those woods so much. This video takes me back to all the time I’ve spent in northern Michigans woods. I think this video is speaking to me on another level..time to go home. Thank you.
New subscriber here, and on another level, I understand exactly what you're talkin about about time to go home. I love this state and camping in the Colorado mountains but I am done with Colorado politics after 33 years. Great video!
Spent some time camping in the UP during Covid. Had a great time, campgrounds were empty. But being from California I wasn't used to the limited vistas. Holy cow you guys have a lot of trees!! But ya, had a great time, Michiganders are pretty friendly folks.
Your videos are relaxing, now I go back and rewatch your older ones. You could be a tourist guide for Minnesota with all the off the beaten path places you go and give some history.
Thanks Robert. I really enjoy learning about the history of places. When I was a kid I wanted to be Indiana Jones. I still enjoy learning about the history. It never seemed to take off on the videos so I stopped showing it. Maybe I'll start sneaking in a few tidbits
Totally enjoy your videos. You're one of the most honest and purest camping channels I've found. I love your content every week. I'm betting it won't be long and you'll have 100k subscribers. Thanks for sharing Kenny, can't wait until next week and I'm going to try cooking those burgers, they look delicious. 👍
Really enjoyed this vid. I’m an Australian off-grid dweller, and this vid popped up on my feed. I too, like exploring and finding hidden, forgotten areas for a camp. I also had a chuckle, as I’ve been referred to as a Jack of all trades, more times than I’d care to remember. You name it, I’ve done it. And also, my nickname in one previous life of mine, was Kenny! With that phrase, there is more to it than most people know. So whenever anyone says that to me, I always follow it up with the last line. “A Jack of all trades, but a master of none….However, far better, than a master of one!” Cheers, Rob,Tasmania, Australia
I enjoyed your video! It reminded me of camping with our 8.5 foot Vacationer cabover camper on a 4X4 Ford truck, we had a lot of fun and went a lot of places with that set up. Thanks for taking us along on your camping trip. This is the only way I can camp now after the stroke(brain aneurism). I'm 79 and watching a lot of things on TH-cam I used to be able to do. We were campground hosts until the stroke, loved that job! I'll be looking for more of your videos.
Thanks Dave. Sorry to hear about the health issues. I'll make a deal with you.....if you continue to tune in on Tuesday nights...I'll keep bringing you on my Minnesota adventures.
I love these videos from in the woods, Kenny. I've been on this journey with you for maybe the last 6 months. Enjoying it massively. Congrats on hittin 10K, brother. 🎉
Thanks for leaving things better than you found them! I was in the Redwoods one time when the big winds came up, those limbs tend to snap and impale themselves into the ground.
Your not a goof and really enjoy your calm videos. I need that for myself. It helps me if that helps you. I look forward to Tuesday! Please keep going. Thank you Kenny.

I agree. I get a lot of comments from people telling me that I should just stay home and sit on my couch because i have a nice camper.. I don't get it... the camper is twenty years old. Plus, having a nice camper makes spending two days off work in the middle of the forest enjoyable. If I was set up in a tent, I would stay home when it's 40 below zero or 100 degrees. But instead, almost every weekend for over two years, I have been in the camper.
Awesome video! Funny little troll tire swing…. Loved the drone shots that you could see Lake Superior. I can’t wait to head to the north shore. My happy place!! Great job eating the veggies I sent. ;).
Up near Vail Colorado there is a place on the water that has a bunch of Fairy Gardens that people have made, so your weird hanging troll swings may be for a fairy garden. Really enjoyed your video, it’s my first one. 🐾🐾
When I was a kid I rode my mini bike along a very overgrown roadway and came across a demolished bridge. It took about 15 years before I found out it was part of a larger campground that was abandoned 50 years prior. It was never fixed up & reabsorbed by the forest till the 90s
Congratulations Kenny,I enjoy watching your videos. I look forward every Tuesday to watch your adventures. Keep up the good work and that is cool how you explain your products 👍
Great vid. Thanks. That paved part you were riding on looks a little like the Sawbill Trail, especially the pull-off by the overlook. I love Superior National Forest.
Kenny, first I'd like to congratulate you on enticing me to contribute my first ever comment on TH-cam. Second, I've had experience with Henry's tropi-cool as a maintenance man and it will work great as a sealant, but i feel it would not hold up well to scratches, scrapes, and hard pokes. Keep doing what you're doing, and thank you for sharing your adventure with us.
Kenny thanks for bringing us along on your awesome journey. It makes for peaceful days. I’m on oxygen 24/7 ~ don’t smoke#don’t think you are invincible#smoking is just wrong and I can prove it. So anyone out there smoking ~ please stop. I can ruin your life. I miss all I used to do. Riding horses was my passion until I had a stroke on her back at a horse show. Wound up in the hospital for 4 months ~ then just 2 years later broke my hip and femur falling over a treadmill. Gonna have surgery for my lungs ~ scared but it can give me more quality of life. Enjoy life but before you do anything ~ think about the outcome. So thanks Kenny for listening and also for your awesome videos. They make me happy. Gonna sit back and watch. You’re the best.
Kenny congrats on the 10k you so deserve it. Love your campsite this week. You will definitely be getting alot more viewers. As said before your honest and true. Holy buckets,be kind, and be honest. 😊
First time I've watched you ...enjoyed the video. What kind of bike were you riding? Getting ready to hit the road myself, can't wait to do a little hiking.
That bike is called the Troxus Explorer. I really like it. I have a folding ebike as well. Both are nice but the Troxus feels like a mountain bike. It's more comfortable than a folding bike. On the folding bike, I sit in a heads-up position over the front tire. It's not bad, it just feels different than a standard bike.
Hi Kenny, thanks for sharing your weekend. I think it was opening fishing this weekend in Minnesota. As far as your generator goes, there’s a spring on your choke that you may want to check.
Ill have to look at that. I did not see a spring disconnected, but it may have fallen off completely. Ill have to see if I can find a diagram of the carb linkages.
Thank you Carol. I've said in other videos that maintenance is key. I figure if I'm scrubbing the walls touching every square inch, I'll find issues before they get really bad. The camper is going on twenty years old and is holding up well. Thanks for watching.
I’m borrowing a friend’s truck/truck camper tomorrow for a long weekend near Ashland WI. I need a step like yours! Oh well, my little aluminum step ladder will have to do for now. I’m very excited!

But it's fun to see how things progressed over the last two years. I'm still learning so much every week and having fun doing it!
Hay Lisa, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. It was a super peaceful weekend. I hope I can find another empty forest for Saturday! You will have to check back on Tuesday to see where we end up.
I used Henry Tropicool 887 coupled with Henry 885 to coat my roof about 1 year ago and like it so far. I did a lot of research and spoke to some knowledgeable people that have used multiple products prior to choosing 887/885. One note: once you go with silicone coating, you cannot use anything else. Hope this helps and keep up the great videos. PS: Nice to hear spring warbler songs during your walk.
Thanks for the info Jay. I'll give you a call before I buy anything. I know you are like me; we do a ton of research before buying a product. You will have to fill me in on what you learned.
It really does. I've been trying to make a review video after work the last few days. Once this is done, I'm gonna look for this weekends adventurers. I think some of the state forest roads have been opening up.
Thanks Kenny for bringing us along! Congratulations on two years and ten thousand subscribers. You have earned it with your quality video's sharing your camp with us. The troll swing got me thinking of the mouse from "The Green Mile" LOL maybe a mouse was in training for the "mouse circus" Loved that movie, before becoming a Deputy I did a couple of years in the Jail Div. The antics in the Green Mile reminded me of a bunch of the characters we had. We had locals, INS, USMS Federal Detainees. Made quite a few "deliveries" to Con-Air on their way to Oakie City. Look forward to your video every Tuesday.
@@mandib757 Thanks Mandi, I hope it helps Kenny to get something he wouldn't get on his own. At least help with the Diesel expense. I don't know how many characters(being kind) like "Wild Bill" we had. Our County Jail usually had a pop of 120 men & women......quite a cast of characters! A good weird, warped sense of humor was a must.
I really like that you tidy up the campsite. Important to keep Nature natural. Kenny, let us know: In Canada, when you are at a private or public campground do you bring in your own campfire wood or do you have permission to glean downfalls, say like, one tree per site per visit? Carne! You got it. Thumbs up 👍🏼!
Oh, I'm not in Canada, I just have a heavy Minnesota accent....or so I've been told. To be fair, I was about 60 miles from Canada. Thankfully, in Minnesota, we can forage dead and downed trees everywhere but State Parks.
Always look forward to coming along for the ride on the weekends. Perfect spot along the river there, and those stuffed burgers looked great. Had to put on my drool cup. Oh and congrats on hitting the 10k mark.
Thanks for the video! I just picked up a truck camper for my Duramax last week. I am in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and have a few spots I am going to check out this weekend.
Oh my, what a perfect video. Honestly I would’ve changed sites after seeing those trees. Why would people just decide to kill trees for no reason? People are truly weird. Thank u sir for being a positive force cos u do help tip d scale back in d positive direction. Thank u sir !!!
Nice job on the camera work and editing! You kept me interested from start to finish. We do a few boondocking trips every year with our ATV's loaded in our small toyhaulers and then explore the trails in the area looking for lakes, old trapper cabins, lookouts, etc. Gotta love the wilderness! Thanx for sharing and congrats on your 10k subs! (you just earned another one😉)
technically your Glamping , but it doesnt matter, youre doing you, and doing what you love...... and your doing what most of us wish we could do! ... Safe Travels! Camp on!
I like outdoor stuff so thought I'd subscribe. Nice big truck and camper. Wonder if you think it's too big. Nice bike too. Thanks for the content. See you next time. From Central Oklahoma
Thanks! The idea behind the channel is having weekend adventures. I'm not a full-time TH-camr, I' work Monday - Friday, then go camping on the weekends. I post my adventures every Tuesday. So far, I've only missed a couple of weekends. It dosrnt matter if it's -40 or 105 degrees. I'm making a video.
And so far, I've never needed a smaller camper. I have taken this camper on trails people wouldn't take an empty truck on. Im not easy on the setup, and I love having a four star hotel in the bed of my truck.
I agree Duane. I always get a few comments saying that what I'm doing isn't really camping because of my Truck Camper. People even say I should just stay home and sit on the couch. I, like you, think it's about getting out to nature and taking in the fresh air. Just because were not laying on the ground in a tent doesn't mean were not camping.
I would LOVE THAT! My Dad was from Oregon. He always talked about going back and showing us kids where he grew up and went to high school. He would tell us stories of working the cattle on horse back in the 60s. Unfortunately, dad passed away two and a half years ago. We never made it over there. One day, I'll bring my kids to show them where Grandpa grew up.
I recently started watching your video and I’m hooked love love it thank you for bringing us on your adventures…until next time stay safe stay healthy stay strong my friend ✌🏼
Thanks Bary. I thought the sounds of the twig snapping was cool. I think it would be fun to edit a video where the snapping sound makes a catchy musical beat, but that would take some serious time to edit.

Thanks for the info Jay. I'll give you a call before I buy anything. I know you are like me; we do a ton of research before buying a product. You will have to fill me in on what you learned.
Great video and amazing location!
Thanks Aaron!
Great video and very peaceful. Minnesota does really have a lot of nice great places to visit.
It really does. I've been trying to make a review video after work the last few days. Once this is done, I'm gonna look for this weekends adventurers. I think some of the state forest roads have been opening up.
Awesome video thanks for taking us along.Congrats on hitting 10,000 subscribers.
Thanks Eric!
Man I'm super glad to have found your channel. Thank you for doing what you do!
Thanks for that Lonny. I'm glad you enjoyed the videos.
🎉Happy 2 year anniversary! 🎊 And congratulations on 10,000 subscribers!
Thank you!
For whatever reason, the Tube of Yous recommended your channel, and I’m so stoked!
And the ASMR of you breaking kindling was just so satisfying…😀
I'm glad you found the channel!
Awesome! Congratulations on 10K! I forget when I started following your adventures but I think more than a year ago. See ya down the road bud. 🥳
Thanks for following along Tim.
Good video Kenny. Enjoyed watching it, congrats on hitting 10 K.
Thanks!
Kenny, another great video! Keep it up! Congratulations on the 10K following. You deserve it!
Thanks Joe!
Congrats on hitting 10k Kenny! You have such a talent for capturing the beauty around you no matter where you go. A swing for a troll!!! 🤣
Thanks Lois!
Thank you Richard! I always appreciate your generosity!
Hi Richard, I love the Green Mile movie also. One of my favorites. I hope you are doing well. Thanks for being one of Kenny’s biggest supporters.
@@KennyOfAllTrades Glad to do it Kenny! I hope it helps in some small way.
First time watching ..looks really nice out there ..enjoy 🤠🌲
Thanks for watching Matt
This was a lot of fun to watch! Thank you.
That's an awesome comment. Thanks!
Thank you very much Edward. I appreciate you following along.
Thanks for the video! I just picked up a truck camper for my Duramax last week. I am in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and have a few spots I am going to check out this weekend.
Awesome! Have Fun and be safe!!
I saw a comment about you having a Mr. Rogers going camping vibe to your videos. Spot on.
Oh my, what a perfect video. Honestly I would’ve changed sites after seeing those trees. Why would people just decide to kill trees for no reason? People are truly weird. Thank u sir for being a positive force cos u do help tip d scale back in d positive direction. Thank u sir !!!
Thank you, I really appreciate that. 🙏
Very cool! Thanks for the compliments. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
technically your Glamping , but it doesnt matter, youre doing you, and doing what you love...... and your doing what most of us wish we could do!
I enjoy watching your travels into the back country. With our 5th wheel we do more glampin then campin but its all in getting out in nature.
These types of camp sites are EVERY where here in Oregon. You'd love it!
Good job Kenny! Watershed moment for your channel!
Thanks!
Thanks for showing this camping if you. ❤
Beautiful camping 🏕. Huge congratulations 🍾 on 10k.
Thanks!
Enjoyed watching this video, looks like a beautiful area for camping. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Michael.
I recently started watching your video and I’m hooked love love it thank you for bringing us on your adventures…until next time stay safe stay healthy stay strong my friend ✌🏼
Very cool comment. Thanks Loulou
Your welcome Kenny
Dude i love your vids , Thanks for sharing !
I appreciate that Steve. Thanks for leaving a comment. It really helps with TH-cam suggesting the videos to others.
Another great video Kenny! Loved the time lapse of breaking up the kindling. Congratulations on 2 years and 10k subscribers!
Thanks Bary. I thought the sounds of the twig snapping was cool. I think it would be fun to edit a video where the snapping sound makes a catchy musical beat, but that would take some serious time to edit.
