Yeah, picked up a Fluke 113 about 6 months ago just for simple central heating work. Problem I have is testing between Live and Earth knocks out the RCD's in the house I'm working in. Live to N fine but L to earth no good. so when I'm maybe testing a two wire thermostat and no N present just Live in and Live out I'm snookered. Anyone else had this problem?

Mine is exactly the same. I have had mine for probably about 5-6 years hardly ever gets used so never bothered returning as I didn't pay for it

I have several fluke meters ,I have thought even on more expensive models they could do better on the displays

Fluke 113 is total garbage for a multimeter. I was yesterday testing for cold solder joints and almost lost my mind when the beeper was not working and showed half of the pins to have cold solder. Ok, maybe it was showing a proper ohms on screen but I was unable to look at screen at that point. Automatics in these kind of devices NEVER WORK PROPERLY. Just avoid this at all costs unless you want to gift it to your worst enemy. Get a Fluke 179 instead. Checked my project with 179, no cold solders.

I bought the 179 a few weeks ago. Delighted with the meter, the supplied leads were garbage and I got Fluke to send out TL175s free of charge.

why is the case not sealed? I once ordered a fluke non contact voltage detector and had to return it two times, because it was all creaky. got annoyed and asked for a refund. mind you the non contact detector was sold to me in a plastic bag.

    What a disappointment.
