Hi Nathan, thanks for the video. I’ve just bought the concerning hobbits tab and am loving it. One thing I struggle with is holding a chord while moving up the fretboard, it seems that you often can’t play a chord with the normal fingering position if the chord should hold for a bar? For instance the first D chord in Concerning Hobbits while moving to fifth fret. Any advice here? Or just practise and dexterity?

Almost six years ago I used to listen to this music while my son, a newborn then, slept in my arms. Now fate and circumstance have brought us a thousand kilometers apart and whenever I long for his company I listen to this music again and remember a time when happiness filled my heart. Me: I’d like to learn the song “concerning hobbits” on the acoustic guitar. Music teacher: *hands over sheet music* Me: *unable to read sheet music* Alright then keep your secrets!
Although it can be a slow process, you can use software to enter sheet music and output TAB. It gets faster with practise and you start to learn notation without realising it. The software that I've personally used are: Guitar Pro, TablEdit and MuseScore. GP and TE have the advantage of being guitar specific whilst MS has the advantage of being free and open source.
The Anonymous Sir Backspace I learned it in high school but every time I wanna learn something on the guitar it’s nothing like sheet music. After a while I just forgot everything I learned. That was probably 9 years ago since I’ve learned

Lotr has a special place in my heart, it’s the only movie or series that has ever made me cry, every time I start watching the fotr and we pan over on Frodo reading in a forest and this song starts playing I can’t help but close my eyes and just listen it’s so beautiful. Howard shore outdid himself with all of his music for lotr even if I just watched the movies five minutes ago if I’m watching that scene all I get are goosebumps and the purest form of nostalgia it’s incredible and I love it so much.

This song brings back so many memories. I was just a babe when my dad introduced the Lord of the Rings to me and it was the best thing that's ever happened to me. It literally made me the person who I am today. It taught me so much and I could never thank my father enough.
This song instills a sense of peace whenever you hear it. No matter what you are doing or how you are feeling, your emotions will calm and you will think to yourself "life isn't so bad after all." This is aided by the homeliness of the classical guitar. I know this video is over a year old, and I doubt you'll read this comment, but I really felt like sharing this.

This really is a masterpiece. The performance is unique soulful! But I can't get over the peice itself. There is an entire story in those notes and it's understated and powerful and so beautiful
