You get 269 thumbs up (at last count) and I get not so much as one in the same time period. I'm not complaining, mind you. After all, this isn’t a popularity contest. I'm just making an objective observation. 🧐 Which begs the question: How is your comment, and so many others who also get multiple thumbs up on her channel, so much better than mine? 🤔 I ask rhetorically. It just goes to show, it's not what you know, but whom you know. The cruel, cold reality is - if one is not within Taylor's inner sanctum, one is treated like an outcast. 😔 Be that as it may, I do wish you all the best. Stay safe, stay well and keep the faith. 😉

Such a good sentence what Sam says. But the best part is the disc of "The Kings Return" is where Gandalf and his eagles come and take him. And then Frodo wakes up and he gets really happy that Gandalf is alive and his friends come. It is just... SUCH AN HAPPY PART!
Funny that this popped up in my feed. I actually picked this piece out for my wedding’s processional, way back in 2009. We used the original recording, but I timed it all out so my wife would enter at the part that happens around 1:45 on this video. We both love LotR and this piece really seemed like it was meant for a wedding ☺️
Our wedding is in 2 weeks and I just informed the DJ that this will be the song for the Wedding party, ring bearer, flower girl entering! This is the best cover of Concerning Hobbits that I've ever heard. Thank you Taylor for keeping the spirit of Tolkien alive, and my lifelong wish of having music like this in my soon-to-be-wife and I's special day!
Beautifully played on a wonderful instrument. It has such a rich, mellow tone. At first I thought it was a viola. So glad I found you, Miss Davis. I will definitely listen to more of your work.
I have played this at several weddings! This song is actually how I found Taylor on TH-cam a few years ago! I was researching it after after a wedding request and found her version! Beautiful!
One of the greatest things about TH-cam is being able to watch these artists grow up and really make the platform their own. I applaud you Taylor and all the effort you've put in to your music and entertainment. Brava!
I hear the violin. The green is all about, the air is clean. My foot begins to move, the body jumps, the step is high and joyous. I dance, oh! do I dance. Thank for the lovely piece.
I love this song. It’s derived from the same English folk tune that was used for the hymn, “This is My Father’s World.” It lifts my spirits every time.
@@MargoB I’m not sure what the tune was called. I know that for the hymn, the lyrics were written as a poem by a New York minister called Maltbie Babcock, and they were set to music by a guy in Philly called Franklin Sheppard. Sheppard used an old English tune his mother used to sing to him. He called it “Terra Beata,” though apparently there’s an older variation called “Rusper.” The connection to the Hobbits’ theme in LOTR is easy to spot since the principle seven-note melodic phrase in both pieces is identical. Additionally the hymn is about finding God in the beauty of nature, which is about as Hobbity as it gets. Indeed the tune being called “Terra Beata” could also not be more appropriate. And what could be more English folksy than a Shire full of Hobbits?
I couldn't come up with the lyrics for either song, but "This Is My Father's World" was right there, just out of reach until I read this comment. Thank you for filling in that blank for me.
My son and I danced to this version at his wedding last December. The crowd went wild once they recognized the tune. He and many in attendance are big LOTR fans. It was a lot of fun to dance to and brings back happy memories every time I hear it.
I got married 8 days ago and this song is what I walked down the “aisle” to. My to be husband waiting in our garden, that this year we made our flower garden instead our vegetable garden in preparation. It. Was. Perfect🥰
Beautiful rendition! This always gets me when listening to the LOTR soundtracks. It speaks of such innocence and purity, it just breaks your heart every time, knowing all that the hobbits endured throughout their epic journeys. 😢
I saw this song performed by a string quartet at a candlelight concert a few months ago, and I teared up as soon as the first strains started. This piece was the theme of the Hobbits of the Shire and is a beautiful portraying happiness and playfulness. Great job. I haven't seen one of her music videos in a while. Keep 'em coming.
Not only do I love this melody and now want to watch lord of the rings, but I also couldn't help but notice the hylian shield hanging on the wall behind you. The song could certainly bring peace to the kingdom of hyrule. 😊
Wow! What mastery over your instrument. Stringed instruments are my favorite, but not all people play with the same quality. You make the strings sharp and crisp, no polyphony when you hit the strings. I hear one tone, not many, and it's such an amazing feeling inside ear! I had a music scholarship to University, but when I hear music such as this by Howard Shore, and played so perfectly, I kmow my own talent is so meager. I mean Howard Shore captured the emotion of Tolkien's novels unlike anyone else ever could. It's baffling. How can there BE such musicians as this??? I have played this many times now! Your sound is impeccable!
My most favourite piece of music ever written. Ive never known a song to completeky transport me into the rolling fields and hill of my youth in the south of england. Walking through lavender fields to the Stumble Inn, mine and my friends favourite pub, late evenings with the yellow rays of sun turning gold as they shone through the canopy of the oak forest at the top of the Downs and down into the valley where butterdlies and bumblebees flittered around drunk on pollen. Its a time past now, but this music will always take me back there

I don't know if you took my request to heart but it's very nice to hear this new version of Hobbits theme; it's very peaceful and it takes my back to the times when movie version "Fellowship of the ring" was first released. It's hard to believe but it was 20 years ago, when I was a lot younger and my life was a lot better than it's now - thank you for playing this melody and reminding me about those simpler, better days! For this reason "Concerning Hobbits" always bring smile to my face

'Hobbits really are amazing creatures, as I have said before. You can learn all that there is to know about their ways in a month, and yet after a hundred years they can still surprise you at a pinch.” - Gandalf
Great timing as I finally got around to replacing my theatrical released versions with the extended cut versions and am in the process of watching all these movies again. The drama and the action is so great but the soundtrack is easily on par with other great films like Star Wars.
I love this! I've listened to it over and over, can't get enough of it! It's perfection all around, the perfect harmony of the strings playing at the bow's command, the cozy room and lights... It's beautiful and really reminds me of the adventures of great ol' Bilbo and Frodo. Thank you so much for this incredible piece!
I've always loved Howard Shore since he influences me as a musician so there's no denying his masterful work for this film so hearing your lively and passionate playing of this music is a true pleasure!

"A wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins. Nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to"
Exactly what I needed to brighten my Tuesday! I’m so loving the folk style of these songs!
'Hobbits really are amazing creatures, as I have said before. You can learn all that there is to know about their ways in a month, and yet after a hundred years they can still surprise you at a pinch.” - Gandalf
Your smile is as brilliant as your playing and adds to the beauty of your video. Well done.
We've been married for nearly 20 years, but we'll have this if we ever renew our vows. Beautiful!
Great timing as I finally got around to replacing my theatrical released versions with the extended cut versions and am in the process of watching all these movies again. The drama and the action is so great but the soundtrack is easily on par with other great films like Star Wars.
Amazing !
Really I feel this music ..
Fantastic...❤
I love this! I've listened to it over and over, can't get enough of it! It's perfection all around, the perfect harmony of the strings playing at the bow's command, the cozy room and lights... It's beautiful and really reminds me of the adventures of great ol' Bilbo and Frodo. Thank you so much for this incredible piece!
Oh, it's violin day! First the Scishow video about Stradivari, now this !
Thanks, for helping me through the pandemic with your art Taylor.
I've always loved Howard Shore since he influences me as a musician so there's no denying his masterful work for this film so hearing your lively and passionate playing of this music is a true pleasure!
Que maravilhoso é ouvir essa música linda alegra o coração da gente ❤❤
Just hearing this on the violin brings so much nostalgia. Hope these masterpieces (Lord of the rings, Hobbit, Pirates of the Caribbean and Harry Potter) never die for future generations. Thank you Taylor for another beautiful piece🙇🏽♀️
