Wow... I am jealous of your proximity to this kind of tuning expertise. I have been considering ITBs for my 2005 MINI R50 (to get the most out of a host of other modifications it already has), but finding someone to help me get the ITBs and a standalone ECU set up properly is currently the biggest barrier.
Awesome noise - I remember people dabbling with ITB's in the early days of the EP3 on the CTRO forum, so good to finally see an established PnP solution !
Paul West. Top Bloke, fitted and tuned my 350z's twin turbo kit. And he hated every minute of it, lol. What happened to TDI North? Honda tuning leg end.
with the ITB's it's 14hp over the prev map with only the Tegiwa intake. I wonder what the diffirence would be if with a 70mm throtle body and a 70mm RBC intake manifold. But sound is nice and price is absolute ok :) Greetz from Holland!
To make the most of this kit, we highly recommend watching the segments at 15:14 and the final discussion at 16:19. These sections provide valuable insights on optimizing airflow to maximize the performance of the kit.
The Haltech is a modern ECU compared to the k100/KPRO and it's recommended to have with this kit. However, please contact our customer service team and they'll assist you further on any questions you may have. - websales@tegiwaimports.com
The kit includes 4 X 48mm parallel individual SF throttle bodies, curved manifold to avoid changes to the pulley, Jenvey cable linkage kit, short 20mm billet air horns, standard TPS adaptor along with an ITG air filter and backplate. I hope that helps.
The E46 & E90 BMW M3s have factory ITBs and obviously have OEM drivability (as well as being famous for great throttle response!). I guess the Haltech ECU compensates for the EP3 originally being a cable throttle, idle air control valve car by replacing the cable throttle by drive-by-wire maybe, so the idle functionality can be controlled by the electronic throttle motor? I dunno.
@@TassieLorenzo hmmmm interesting one tho I would love to do something like this myself Tbh be a little bit niche everyone goes for a turbod civic haha obviously I understand why
Been keeping an eye out for this for a while. They sound 🥵 decent gains. So i assume its still tuneable with a kpro v4? Maybe just not quite and accurate or easy?
Sounds mega and the kit looks lovely, but i cant help but think all this effort just to get dusted by a mildy tuned astra vxr/gsi. Seems alot of money for little gain imo. Still nice work and nice to see the N/A market constantly developing for the K20.
"all this effort just to get dusted by a mildy tuned astra vxr/gsi." Quality over quantity! Obviously the K series engines shine in the older, lighter Civic/Integra/CR-X chassis or swapped in other types of cars (be it Elise, MX-5 etc). The 2.4L is obviously more cost effective (since as a Honda Accord engine, it's more common) and makes more power given the greater displacement, so tends to the more popular choice as long as you aren't restricted to a 2000cc class. But the K20 is more high revving and (arguably) more fun and "Honda-ish". 🙂
@@TassieLorenzo absolutely, any Honda is better than 90% of vauxhall platforms. The k20 and k24 is arguably one of the best 4 bangers. Just for me I would put an inlet on and kpro ecu exhaust and map. You'll see similar power and have another grand towards other bits
Much too loud for the roadway, would be a good track car, unfortunately with 410 cc injectors you will be burning a lot more fuel. This setup will not pass noise regulations is most if not all jurisdictions.
Nothing like some ITBS and VTEC! Sounds so good
Well then... That sounds rather nice!
DO IT! JUST...DO IT😂
Do it! I run toda throttle bodies and sound amazing.
I wonder how much power they would make on your car. Have almost the same spec list as you. Greetz from Holland!

Great bit of kit and good results! They sound mega 👌🏻
absolute quality...good video, like how the follow up was done in the same video....not wait a week or two.
With the ITB's so cose to the radiator fans, would that cause heat soak with all that hot air? I'm curious as to what the IAT temps are
An FN2 version please? 🙏🏼
Set of jdm cams or skunk 2 cams and that would be a perfect set up.. Maybe a ported head??? But k20 heads flow pretty well standard
Are you able to disclose the additional costs if you were to purchase the complete Haltec components used in these tests as well?

I have 74mm throttle body and ported on the throttle body side RBC manifold with a hondata ecu, it made 251bhp
My Setup is: RRC Manifold, TEGIWA 4-2-1, 70mm Skun2 Throattle body, Scorpion full exhaust 51mm, Kprov4 and intake filter = 228hp / 212nm
With the ITB how loud is the car/ decibels are you getting? UK track requires 98-105 db at 4.5k revs, if it meets the requirement.
Is a fn2 kit coming ?
The sound is 👌🏽
Great video loved it and and got some more knowledge in modification s
Any plans for FN2 ?? My mugen 200 would like that
Surely it sucking in hot air from radiator rather than cold from letter box style induction kit?

Hi we’re did you install the map sensor?
Is the ITB’s worth the extra HP for the cost 🤔
NA tuning is expensive but you have to love that sound ….. you’d need forced induction for big power but it’s not everything
£2500 for this kit with inj,,
or £1000 for usual inlet and intake kit and make same bhp ? 🤷🏻♂️🤔🤔
ITB’s don’t make power, common knowledge that. Unless ported head and some spicy cams, people spend the money for noise 🥴🥴🥴🥴
@@joshwattonS2000 - yes i know 😂😂😂😂
its all about the intake noise & throttle response baby
Yeah and a £1000 turbo car would make power then a Honda, but that's not the point is it.
Any plans to do a DC5 kit that will work with the belt driven power steering pump?
Stay tuned to the channel and our socials if any updates arise regarding it.
How much would something like that cost to do?
Amazing. Sounds like a 90s Maxi rally car
Hermoso trabajo, muy bien.
Gracias!
this or the pracworks carbon intake ? 🤔
I’m curious do you lose the vehicles security system when fitting the ecu
The security system is unaffected by changing the ECU.
How many mm are they?
Sound the absolute business 🤙😈
Wonder if you could tune this with a K100, would save me a few £££ over switching to Haltech 🤔
It's best to talk to your tuner in regards to that.
Make this for fn2 whit dbw or not but make it
So if I’m looking at tuning what are the differences with the hall tech kit , k100 , and kpro v4 not rly sure which one to choose lol

A lot of money for the sound imo
What's the clearence like vs the usual aftermarket manifolds? For those of us with older K swapped chassis
Perfect, if it fits in an EP3 - it fits in everything.
@@johnnytegiwa in an EF? It's bonnet clearence that is the problem with these, even an RBC is a major mission 😂

Yes. It's literally a plug and play kit.
how big is the itb?

The trumpet location is a little compromised unfortunately but not much that can be done about that
Agree
Can it also be done on an fn2 ?

buy some

It should be possible, however you'll have to speak to your tuner in regards to it.

They sound lovely.. a shame the horsepower's gains are very expensive. Only a few will buy these sadly
Why are they so small
