@@jimvollmongo5188 Yea it's really fun to hear an engine screaming like you're going 300, but you're actually barely accelerating and a 2.0 TDI Passat will leave you behind with half throttle.
This is the Type r range party trick, you can never ever drove even an Honda, but as soon as you start and go, everything just feels familiar and into the right place, in 2 minutes you are driving the car by the scruff of the neck like you own the car for decades. It's a very weird thing (in retrospect).

I was dreaming of putting an LSD on my fn2, but owned just for like 7-8 months, had to sell it, toughest decision in my life, still miss and love the car so much and it doesn't by any day get better after 2 years. And yea, fn2's are very underrated imo, i hope im gonna get another one with and LSD someday.
Most spin out in corners with the Ep3, it's not the easiest car to handle at speeds + you can hear he really needs to get used to shifting with the Ep3.. the fella can drive and takes corners quite okay so that's why he makes it look easier. But for most people it would be better to take a quick Audi or Mercedes since those cars are much more controllable due systems onboard
The modern turbo hybrid cars sound absolutely nothing like what you hear on tv. It's the mics they use that make them sound like washing machines. IRL they have a pretty good note, nothing like a V10s but still a nice note.
@@NippyMoto yeah same with rally cars. they sound like angry bees when you hear them over speakers, but irl they are much more bassy when they drive by.
Wdym supercars are awesome, I get the whole built vs naught but there’s nothing more awesome that would make you crap yourself than going sideways around corners in a MCLAREN P1
I mean I understand why some of the guys who drive $100k+ cars don’t go crazy cause they don’t wanna wreck it but at the same time seeing this R chase down some Porches who were clearly trying is so satisfying

Sound of a na honda engine is genuinely one of my favorite car sounds. It just sounds like so much fun, like its begging you to keep on pushing the revs till you hit the limiter
I enjoyed that more than watching a supercar blast round the track, which surprised me. And, by the number of much more powerful cars you passed, shows how much is down to the driver... (Until you've got drivers with marginal differences of course... Then it would depend more on the car.)
This is the content I enjoy the most. Seeing cars being lapped on the Nordschleife and especially older hot hatches is the best. Great lap Misha and thanks to AutoTopNL for showing this car on the Nordschleife :)
Nice to see Misha driving the civic like its meant to be. Driving it hard and rev it all out. Different suspension setup would help for less understeer, open rear toe slightly. Different animal, car will change behavior drastically. Also lsd is highly recommended
@@IsaacPoopsAlot dc5 does but the ep3 doesn’t there may be a special edition type one that does but if there all the same then the ep3 doesn’t come with lsd
@@darekmistrz4364 I know it’s more expensive but from factory and even modded dc5 are much better lsd from factory hydraulic steering instead of electric etc
It’s all about the driving experiance. A N.A. Type R or S2K revving up to 8500 or more gives any car enthousiast a big smile and maybe even goosebumps.

I’ve owned an EP3 type R and driven it on the Nordschleife. I had the same coilovers I happen to know, and they have digressive valving. Turn it a bit softer and it’s very nice for the ring! I now own an S2000 and want to go to the ring next year! The sound is addicting and the gear ratios are awesome for track use!
the engine noise on this EP3 sounds so effortless... Misha those downshifts and blipping of the throttle are perfect, it's almost like you've been driving this car for years...

I have always loved the EP3 and always wanted one. I hope one day I am at a point where I can have one as a second car. I had an opportunity in 2015 to have one as a daily but I chose a MK1 Seat Leon Cupra R instead, although these are also great cars I crave that rawness an EP3 can provide.
You just want to grab another gear after gear in these Hondas, don't you?:-) it affects your driving mindset and makes you feel very much alive. Then you are driving in everyday slow traffic, feeling like you are just wasting fuel, or at 4000+ RPM on the highway with your head about to explode. True double edged sword :-)

Yes, when I test drove mine it was very easy to get on with and It was a full 2 months of owning it before I even stalled it for the first time lol
Noise Control I woulda loved a FG2/coupe version type R

That's Honda's in general I've found personally. Owned a Type S Accord and Civic. I personally prefered the Accord, it was amazing

the car comes with an LSD from factory from what I remember

@@aj24z42 only JDM had LSD. None in Europe or USA had LSD. But one from DC5 is easily swappable into EP3
