TPiR 3/11/11: Mix of Good and Bad

Some days I would have just moved on from this episode...but I felt like uploading, so here you go.
The title is a bit multifunctional : most of what goes on on the surface is good, we had a parallel start to last Friday.
But god, do I hate playing the first game like that...that game doesn't belong in the "non-car game played annually for a car" pool, it is way too random. I don't get why lineups are so erratic in quality someitmes nowadays...
This was pretty close to a proper win on the second game as you can get nowadays - both of the wins it has in 10 playings have been hard to come by. Felicia played pretty well overall, keeping a tough higher on the first digit, but there was no reason to try BOTH extremes, HHHH (2nd digit would have to be a 9...making this choice even more horrible) and LLLL. I think she had an idea it was -98 or something similar as well.
I do think Drew did the right thing by giving that last guess, as Felicia lost a bit of time on her first guess.
Ouch on the showcases. Both of these players went to the same high school (explaining Drew's little quip at the beginning, he talked about it at the beginning of the showcases), and both lost their games (Hiyasmin Grocery, Jeffrey the broken Punch-a-Bunch), so I hate to see losers get zeroed out like that on a tough difference like $27. Very close to our first double DSW week since February 2009.

Why do I like it when all the contestant's overbid on contestant's row? I start laughing almost instantly. It's even more funnier if they bid way to high like constantly.

Getting all four punches in Punchboard doesn't happen too much, though I think it did happen one other time this season, no? The car in Cover Up was in One Away last week and in Pocket CHange yesterday, at the same price. Will there be non-Hondas offered next week ?

There are 2 kinds of people I hate on this game. There are those who bid $1 (so they don't overbid). Then there are those who bid a dollar over someone else (to outbid them). Those people don't deserve to win!

You forgot another bad, which would be "Punch-a-Bunch". That contestant was stupid to throw away the $1,050. He should've kept it because you don't see an amount like that every playing.
