I remember being livid after anticipating the 10,000 thing and finding out it was an April Fools joke. I said I would never watch the Price is Right ever again. Then I watched it the next day LOL I will always be a fan of the show =)
For EVERYONE watching the video wondering what the 10,000th thing was, that was all an April Fool's joke. Everything in the show except if a contestant won or lose was all a big April Fool's joke. Drew Carey brings an exciting new twist to the television game show which has been going strong for 43+ years. This past April Fool's when George announce Drew Carey as the host, Bob Barker came out and did the first one bid and the first game. Drew Carey then came out; best April Fool's because it wasn't too over the top but still an April Fool's. Bob was in a showcase as well. I loved Bob Barker hosting but Drew Carey brings a new twist to the show. My grandfather doesn't like the specials but I do such like Big Money Week or Celebrity Week. It brings back a younger generation to watch the show but still have Bob Barker fans.
For something with that much build-up, I expected another trick. Something like, "The 10,000th Overbid", or "The 10,000th Unique Car on the Show" or something. But even that probably wouldn't meet the idea, it's more statistical.
At first I thought this was a weird April Fools joke until the FIRE. I can only imagine how nuts they were going back stage. Man holy crap talk about "The show must go on"
Outdoor dining set with a firepit! Now THAT'S hot! Next, get away from the spreading blaze, and burn rubber on your new motorcycle! What's hot: Burning off rubber on the rubber tires. Final, it's a red hot truck! What's hot: The color painted red on the truck, and that's hot, and the engine heats up while you leave the truck running. And that's one hot, humid, 250 degree Fahrenheit showcase!
It was a bit of an overkill, but I think it was more of a compilation of the old expression "If anything can go wrong, it will". Most of those things have happened in one form or another (Janice did drive a car through the big doors, there was a power failure during a show, and prizes and props have failed in some form.) but after the first couple, it did get a little predictable, but I still enjoyed it!
I remember one time they were playing the 10 Chances game (Bob Barker was host at the time) and they forgot to cover up the correct prices! Of course, the contestant was ruled a winner by default.
It is my opinion that the 10,000th thing was the 10,000th malfunction/mishap on TPiR..... I don't know if that's supposed to be a good thing or a bad thing though.... But I guess they wanted to celebrate it for April fools day anyway..... It was pretty funny though.....
You Know , When Somebody Dropped The Lights At The End of The Show , Drew Didn't Told Me The Total. Because It Was The Ten Thousand Episodes Show and That Happened To Be. So Drew Only Has an Wireless Microphone. First , Drew Equipped an Sennheiser SKP 3000 Transmitter , Second , He Equipped an Audio Technica AT859B , and Then Third , The Audio Technica AT8117 Foam Cover. These are All 3 Parts That Drew Needed For The Show.
I just saw a Fail on the last gag when the showcase podium area got hampered. They kept the white flashing lights on but turned off everything else. Ruins the "powerout" image.
@erikdraven1731 i ended up watching right when the wheel was spinning then the light fell. I thought wow thats weird then the lights out and the fire (then i realized April Fools!!!) good one!!!
I remember this I though was real and and when saw was april 1 i said Oh my Its april fools day Price is right not even near 10,000 Game yet!.....funny april fools even Bob barker was happy wonder what this april fool show be ryan styles bein MC
This was as lame as a Canadian game show. I should know, because I'm a Canadian myself. I've been a fan of this show for a long time, but if they keep pulling who-knows-what like this, I would not even bother to continue watching it.

@WayoshiM - What? We got to see it, and they were putting the cloth up for Door #3 in it.
@Ohm1100 give the crowd some glow sticks and pump in some eurobeat and you'd have yourself one rocking rave party!

@JMcH the vegas trip was also a helicopter tour of the grand canyon so.. Yeah
Love how Drew cracks a Smile that he was probably having to hold back for the whole show mind you, when he says Happy April Fool's! lol
I wonder what it was like being in the taping of this show.
The odd thing is that I actually SAW this blackout happen! Extremely bizarre to see Drew w/a flashlight!
Me too, that 10,000th surprise was ridiculous. I still loved this episode though.
North Korean Price is Right.
Nice PG lineup, which if more commercial time keeps getting added to TV shows, we might see something close to on every show.
At first I thought this was a weird April Fools joke until the FIRE. I can only imagine how nuts they were going back stage. Man holy crap talk about "The show must go on"
1:59 That's basically the description of my trip w/1 difference: Flying from Minneapolis instead of Los Angeles!
3:07 The power got restored
What they do now is they give the people who are called down, but don't get up on stage, each of them gets $300 cash.
I kept this episode on my dvr because I seriously thought (and still do think) that it was funny as hell.
At 0:52-0:55, you can see the HD Color Bars with the White Screen of Death tone
best April fools ever so far...what would happen if his mic stop working?
#28 wasn't thinking too clearly, the car had to be 19k just by itself

@delldell50 You gotta be within 250 dollars. She was off by 600 or so
That was one HOT showcase!
I remember skipping my class in college to watch the 10,000th and was LIVID when I found out it was an April Fool's joke LOL they got me big time!
Legend has it that Drew still hasn't gotten the 10,000 thing.

10,000 minutes without a accident?
@Themigsvill One bid (Contestants Row), Pricing Game, and Showcase. SCSD is Showcase Showdown.
@DownsA530 They'll do it on March 30, a Friday!
@heine71
DIdn't the Newlywed Game have a blackout once before?
It is my opinion that the 10,000th thing was the 10,000th malfunction/mishap on TPiR..... I don't know if that's supposed to be a good thing or a bad thing though.... But I guess they wanted to celebrate it for April fools day anyway..... It was pretty funny though.....
They should have had it where they locked the wheels forward movement, so you could only spin it backwards. lol
They might do that this year.
I hope. lol If i ever go on TPiR, I'm gonna try to get a laugh out of Drew and Spin it backwards! haha
I'd love to see that.
hopefully get a dollar like what happened before.
Flamecalvin same 🤣
*screams* OH NO!!!! FIRE! FIRE! FIRE! You know I don't like getting burned.
I believe this was before they added the led screens for contestants row

I like it how the light just fell to the floor
Yeah, and it causing the whole studio went almost blackout and I'm surprised that they didn't cancel the show because of a lot of damages.
Dr. Trombone, was that you?
I just saw a Fail on the last gag when the showcase podium area got hampered. They kept the white flashing lights on but turned off everything else. Ruins the "powerout" image.
i'm just waiting for something else to happen, like bob baker having a hand in this
@JoJorockthe2 That was the point. It didn't exist!
0:48 Power outage
@DownsA530 That's a good thing. Also, it will only be a matter of time before they go too far on this show if they keep pulling stuff like this.
I'm shocked Molly turned down vegas and a car
It's "The Price is Right" meets "Storage Wars"
As You Know. The Light Blob Is Still On When The Power Is Out
@delldell50 She'd had to bid $28,000 to get a DSW.
Turntable lights broken. 10 thousand thing did not happen
7:06: ??????????????
Wow the price is right thing is getting torn down
Exactly what I was thinking!
you remember nyc blackout 1977
Hey, what happened to the "Contestants not appearing on stage" segment right before SCSD#2? I'm guessing it would have made the show run too long?
TPIR has technical issues
I agree, that 10,000th surprise was such a ripoff!
Richard didn't get the prize so he tried for the CONSOLATION PRIZE. The naughty boy copped a feel. 😏
OMG Lights went out
Cue the Trammps’ song “Where Were You When the Lights Went Out”.
th-cam.com/video/uKh7gSvsowQ/w-d-xo.html
0:44 who turned out the lights
The first contestant guess for trip and cars was nowhere the correct prize(Was above $44,000 but guess only below $20,000)
@erikdraven1731 i ended up watching right when the wheel was spinning then the light fell. I thought wow thats weird then the lights out and the fire (then i realized April Fools!!!) good one!!!
Does anyone know what that 10,000th thing is that Drew was talking about?
It was the lights falling down at the end of the episode.
april fools joke
@WiiBridge9 there WAS no 10000th thing. APRIL FOOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3:58 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The Blackout Showcase XD.
Drew: where’s our lights *drew fixes it*
@sshuffield70 Would have been ironic if she had, could have used that as the 10,000th thing in fact lol
0:51 CUT!
Probably Molly and Richard are confused too.
technical difficulties.
My god! Such stupidity. This show has definately went down the toilet. Please put this crap show outta of it's misery.
"OB"?
I counted 23 things

7:06 oh I get the point about the theme
0:44 beautiful.

Same thing as Global News
0:52 Vito: Hold on Price Is Right fans. Uh. Cut the camera.
I remember this I though was real and and when saw was april 1 i said Oh my Its april fools day Price is right not even near 10,000 Game yet!.....funny april fools even Bob barker was happy wonder what this april fool show be ryan styles bein MC

Power going out and the stage catching on fire is all staged 😜😜
Well, DUH!!!!
All part of the April Fool's fun.
uh oh.
😀😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Maybe on the real 10,000th episode they'll have the 10,000 thing
Well that was a total ripoff...
Great - these contestants get to be on TV once in a lifetime and the professional producers decide it's funny to do it in the dark. Idiots
KJ Patrick IT'S APRIL FOOLS.
Wow, this show stinks. Bob would have kept the show classy and not let something stupid like that happen, even if it was April Fools Day.
4:28 umm, a dirt bike isn't a motorcycle geesh..
