I'm super glad I bought it, although I haven't had the chance to use it or install it. I bought it for my RV in anticipation of living out of it for a couple years, we left on our trip during the spring and didn't need to use it. By the next fall our plans changed slightly, I bought my Van and I am just not at the point in my build yet for the install. I will be doing several more videos on my cubic mini exploring different cooking options.
I’m wondering how long you can keep the heat going? I was thinking about one for my van but I don’t wanna wake up every 2 hours to stay warm. I’m working on getting a battery bank with a generator. I want a smart generator that has remote start and when the battery bank is low turns on. I don’t wanna have to worry about sun and most of all I don’t wanna park in the sun in summer time. I’ve found a generator and power bank but it’s $3000 . That a big investment for me. So it’s on the some day list. Man that list is getting long. Lol That is a nice looking stove. Looks like a coffee maker stove.
This video was more about the plate steel, which I would modify at this point. If I tended to the flame a little better I could have got it a lot hotter and cooked off it. Next I am going to cut down the wood to smaller pieces. You can def cook straight on top of the Cubic Mini without a plate steel topper, there are many cooking options and I will demonstrate this in several more videos in the near future. As far as tending the fire throughout the night, if you use a hard wood and damp it down you can keep nice radiant heat for 4-6hrs depending on the wood. I can't wait to install this. I am not going to be able to put it where I originally thought, but will be a stellar addition to cooking and heat!!
I want one of these
