Thank you!!!! I already have a Jackery 240 but was looking to get a larger unit to power a fridge. I was really thinking I was going to need a 1500, but you've convinced me that, along with the 240 to charge phones and such, I can get by with the 1000. You just saved me over $500!! Thanks.
Awesome video.. last night I ran my Jackery 500 on duel mode @ 32/0 the unit was full of stuff. After 9 hours I was @ 30‰ left on the battery I opened the fridge one time during the night... Very happy with this Fridge and Jackery... Really enjoy your channel...
Great! We really like the GO20 and the Jackery. Today, I received a Delta 1300 from Ecoflow to do a video review. It can recharge from 0% to 100% in less than two hours - that is so crazy fast. We the Jackery 500 and the Delta, we are more than set for our simple power needs. Thanks for watching and blessings!
Cold air goes down, not up, so when opening a chest style freezer you do not lose all of your cold air dumped out on the floor as you would if the door was on the side

The Jackery units are high-quality, but I would now suggest you seriously seriously look at the EcoFlow River 600 and better yet, the Delta 1300. Look here on my channel and you will see my review of the Delta 1300 and the River 600. The advantage with EcoFlow is that they recharge so incredibly fast. The Jackery will take so much longer. Also the Delta 1300 can run so many more devices because it’s much larger inverter. I’m doing a van build and you can see that series here as well, and my power system is entirely based around multiple EcoFlow units. Thanks

We have the jackets 500 and their 100w panel and use it when boondocking. We recently purchased the Bluetti 1500 and built a 200w folding solar briefcase. Both give us a lot of power when we don’t need the AC. We have a 52 quart 12v compressor fridge freezer that we use with them as well.
Thank you so much for your evaluation of Jackery and iceco go20 refrigerator. You gave me exactly the kind of info I wanted to decide what to buy. Much appreciated.
Just be aware that not all 12v fridges use the same amount power - that needs to be factored in. Thanks for watching - you might look at my other Jackery and 12v fridge videos too. Blessings!
You are quite welcome. I a in the middle of a 2018 Ford Transit 250 van conversion. We are not doing the typical full-blown solar set up most "van life" folks do. Check out my videos in my vanbuild series, especially this one about our atypical power set up - th-cam.com/video/e6vn0RaKSJE/w-d-xo.html
Enjoyed this review - products displayed. Clear info and charts - nice! Lovely voice also. I have a Jackery 500 and was debating saving $ by getting a bar fridge, and spend $$$ on a larger energy bank, but this set up looks like it would just be right. Thanks for a helpful review with the needed info
Awesome video! Thank you! I just got a Jackery 160 last December . I have seen some of your videos in the past. Just became a subscriber. Awesome content.
Awesome vid and information Charles, We have been looking into a 12v fridge for our Truck Camper build we just finished with a 100 watt Budget solar system that we put in it. We have been thinking about a Jackery as back up. Thank you for sharing 👍Thumbs up to you Sir
I notice that my Iceco GO20 is inaccurate as far as the displayed internal temperature. The displays show the internal temperature when it's just sitting there. It may be off about 5 degrees, but when I touch it to see the set temperature, the set temperature is correct, and matches what my two internal thermometers show.
I now prefer Ecoflow and lithiums units like this. They charge crazy fast and the big ones, like the Delta I have, can even run a microwave and coffee pot easily.
We just got our first the other day. Its a 600 watt lithium by Pecron. Really nice price at $419 with no shipping so we are hoping it works out for us. We only need to keep a small 12v 23 quart fridge running and only have a few small electronics to charge with it. I actually have been testing it since last night to see how long it can power the fridge from 100%. Fingers crossed. 🤞
@@haveminivanwilltravel if it has a decent compressor, is your run all really long time. We found on a recent trip that my simple 100 white panel on the roof of my transit could keep up pretty well with our fridge. But we have so many batteries it’s not really a big issue for us. Good luck!
Thanks - that is always my goal. Soon I will be launching multi-episode Ford Transit van conversion series. I just bought a 2018 medium roof Transit and I am still in the planning stages, but the build should be going strong in September. We will use it to tow our Runaway which will serve s a very comfy full-time bedroom. The Transit will have a small kitchen, small bathroom with shower, two long sofas with tables that can turn into an extra bed for guests or grandkids. Very excited about it.
Jackery 300 is more than adequate as a dedicated power supply for most 12V fridge sizes and modes. ~1-2 Ah is typical current draw on a 50qt fridge at 90° ambient temp. With 300Wh available, that’s ~12-24 hours on 12V DC.
I have a 290 & 500 jackery. The 290 will run my fridge , lights and 12v TV/DVD all night The 290 will be down to 60% in the morning when I start my Honda eu2000i to change the jackery back to 100%.. works perfect.. and I have the 500 for a backup..
I'm a trucker and use my 12v fridge as a freezer. I plug it into the truck while rolling but when I'm sleeping I'm thinking about using the jackery 500 so I don't wake up to dead batteries. Hopefully it really works like you said in the vid that would be perfect
My jackery 1000 run my dometic cfx3 45 for 120h. Or 5days from 100% to 0% but safely at 20% it runs for 4 days at 41F at 77F ambiant. If i can charge with the solar panel, every day it could run indefinitely as i can charge 125w in the jackery 1000 but the fridge use only 7.79w per hour. So i could easily compensate for the 20% per day usage. The usage is 10% per 12 hours, 20% per day so around 7.79wh. And this is constant during the 4 days up to 20% left in the jackery. If you deplete fully (not recommended) you will run it for 5 days.
Yeah! data FTW. Thank you for the engineer's DOE. I was running my 500wh batt 100-0 with my 60L fridge to find out exactly what you ran here. I'll mix-in a 100w solar panel in a mediocre location (putting out more like 35-50w) after.
I’m no expert. I just try to show the best I can what was sent to me. It will work for us in select situation, but not in incredibly high temperatures.
When the fridge compressor is not running and there is not a draw on the Jackery... does the Jackery auto power off? My power station auto powers off when there is not a draw and that is an issue that i'm dealing with my 12v portable fridge.
@@charlesmoman It sounds like the Jackery had a regulated 12v output, and I found a power station that does as well and that solved my issue. Thanks for the reply!
Very helpful 👌 I'm trying to size a system for a small boondocks trailer. I keep coming back to just going with a inverter generator. With one 200w panel. This should allow very minimal operation of generator. I will be camping in cold temps. (Down yo 0°f) Battery type is also a consideration. How about best value set up for a mid size solar system?
Thank you so much for your helpful video. We just bought a GO20 fridge and a 330 battery. We charged the battery with our solar panel to 96%, brought it inside, and plugged in the little fridge (no freezer). We’re wondering whether the battery will power the fridge and maybe our cell phones and kindles all night. Do you have any advice for us? Thanks, Bryna
Thank you for this very clear and straightforward video! I purchased a Hebron 12v fridge same size as your test fridge. I also purchased the J240 w/60w solar panels. Do you think I can power my fridge and cell phone for at least 36 hours at one stop? I appreciate your feedback.
My tests roughly showed that a Jackery 240 could run a typical 12v fridge for almost 19 hours without running any solar. If you had a clear and sunny day, you certainly could exceed 19 hours but I doubt you could get up to 36 hours. With a Jackery 500, I would say probably yes.
Charles Moman Thank you again Charles for the best estimate! As you can tell, in vacillating between the 240-500. Last question: can 60w panels offer much charge to a 500?
Thanks Charles. Since you mentioned the fan, it made me wonder if the fridge would be more efficient if the fan was aimed at it? Also, you said your friend would travel to destination with it set as a freezer, than switch over to fridge mode when camping. I’m guessing holding at 0 would be fine on house battery when driving, then switching over to solar generator when stationary. Electrical draw should be less as the temp slowly rises. My unit is either/or and not duel. I’ve heard it’s often done that way as you get a longer “shelf” life on your food starting with frozen, then having it slowly thaw to fridge temperature which should give a longer working time off the generator. Another question or two. Allowing for ventilation and exhaust, would you give your opinion on insulating the unit, say with reflective closed cell foam core? Last time I camped the cold just seemed to pour out the top which must be poorly insulated. I put a rug and some towels over top and sides to help. But now I’d like a more efficient enclosure. Also, when running in my house on 110 I get a lot of dripping condensation coming off back. No openings/vents there as they’re all in front bottom of unit. Any ideas? I’ll try to position a drip pan under it in Van so I don’t wind up with mold, and check it daily. Thanks for your analysis and any suggestions/opinions.
We do not run it in our house, except the night before to get it down to the temps we want for the camping trip starting the next day. Personally, we will not mess with building an enclosure. It will never be in the camper, so the fan is a non-issue and I do not think it would make any appreciable difference anyway honestly.
This is very very helpful to someone like myself trying to figure put the math of all this business My question...will a deep.cycle battery 100Ah runs this longer than a jackery 240 watt........( how many Ah is a jackery 240)..... Or is my math and understanding still off ( earnest question ) .... Trying to figure a cheap way to have backup power( deep cycle battery and 12 volt cig lighter clip on for the alpicool i want to get or jackery )
The 240 Jackery is 240 watt hours. That's 16.8 amp hours as per their ad. Its 6.6 pounds. A 100 amp hour deep cycle battery weighs about 80-90 pounds. The 100 amp hour rating is at very low wattage draws. So you might get 800 watt hours out of the calculated 1200 watt hours in real world use. Lithium iron phosphate batteries are a whole different animal. A 20 pound 50 amp hour unit will directly replace a 100 amp hour lead acid battery in run time. But they are expensive. Lead acid deep cycle is fine if you don't mind the weight.
I noticed you have the insulated cover on your ICECO GO20. Did you test this with the cover on it? Does the cover actually make that big of difference? I just purchased this model on Amazon because of your review of it on your other video on the ICECO GO20. Looking forward to using this fridge/freezer!!!! Thank you!!!!
Yep. Did it all over Colorado. Don’t ask me to say an exact amount of time, because it all depends on the temperature in the air, how hot your vehicle or camper is, and how cold you keep your refrigerator. The fan does not take a lot of juice but obviously it will take more the faster you run it. And of course you need to recharge it either with a solar panel or plug it into your car while driving. Have fun and be safe.
@@charlesmoman I’m concerned about the Jackery fan noise. In your experience, do you feel the fan is noticeably loud if running in a small campervan while trying to sleep? Thanks for the response.
@@linbax697 That is somewhat subjective - never bothered us if it was running. We had the MaxxAir running much of the time anyway. Some people want everything to be silent, but some white noise always works for me. I really do not ever hearing the Jackery fan much at all. When running 12v stuff it does not come on anyway.
Does anyone know if a Rockpal 350 with 100 watt portable solar panel would run the IceCo go20 over a few days when the Rockpal needs charged can I charge with solar while still keeping the fridge plugged in and working. Only looking to use as fridge. Not as freezer. Thank u
I was running with DC not the AC plug which would cause the inverter to run. Now I only use Ecoflow lithiums. They recharge faster than any other units out there. We just finished a Ford Transit van conversion and can everything with our Delta1300s, River Pro and River Max. When running with the AC outlet you use about 10% more power that just the DC.
How much variance do you think you'd see doing similar tests with a full size 260L 12V fridge? (Unique 260L1). I'm willing to get a massive Jackery 1500 but my primary goal is to ensure such a fridge can run for 24 hours in a van. Thanks in advance!
That is hard for me to answer without knowing all of the numbers about that unit. A 12v fridge uses less power than people think. I now use only Ecoflow lithiums - they recharge SO much faster than the Jackery units.I have two Delta 1300s and a Delta Max that are awesome.
Great Review! Thank You. I am wondering if that can freeze water bottles in a hot van running from 8am-8pm and how many watt hours that would consume to do that? also wondering if off and closed with frozen water bottles overnight(8pm-8am) what temp we would find inside at 8am?
We recently finished our Transit van build. I now use Ecoflow units. Watch this episode - you need to add a simple 12v fuse block. th-cam.com/video/e6vn0RaKSJE/w-d-xo.html
@@charlesmoman Thanks so much Charles for taking the time to help me out. Your instructions are so thorough that even a novice like me is willing to give this a go. Just a side note but my Maxxair fan has the black as positive and white negative. Weird.
If you ran it the jackery plugged into your 12-volt socket and then the fridge plugged into that would that increase the time and would your jackery stay charged
What was the temp around while you tested? That is a variable that might be useful to some people. 90° vs 60° would be different results. A thought from yoir epic son. Fyi when do I get premiered on your youtube!
@@charlesmoman I knew you hadn't disowned me yet! Lol just playing Good info on this tho. I thought that might help. With our current tempature it shows it holds up well.
So, this lovely model is sold out on Amazon. Way fair has it for apro $650 cad and the Smart expensive version on Amazon is $2,200! I measured the containers I use for frozen meals, and went with a Joytutus 20qt/18l on Amazon.ca for $319. It will hold a week’s worth of frozen chicken/sausage/ and chili. I can still use the Apicool 12v cooler for veggies powered by the Jackery 500 Explorer. The Joytutus does not have a Danfoss compressor, but it was the right size, delivery, and price. I’ll run it on my small solar system of a 100 watt panel and 1500watt inverter. Suggestions welcome. Still eyeing the Bluetti AC200 option with portable solar panels. Or wait for their next system with add-on batt like the current (ha, pun) Titan 3000.
This morning the GO20 is $439 on Amazon. Now and then it is on sale for less. I once did a review of the Joytutus and it was ok. I am receiving the AC 20 pretty soon to review. Look at my Ecoflow Delta 1300 review. We are using it now on our Colorado trip. It kills most other brands because of its super fast recharging. From 0% to 100% in 1:45 from AC! 1300 watts. I even can run my 5,000 BTU AC in my Runaway camper for 7 hours. Then the next morning plug it in somewhere and back to full in less than two hours. Game. Changer.
Charles Moman will check this out - thanks! Looking also at the marketing info on Monster x. No detailed reviews. Price is good - pushing ac use, no dc outlet... will look at your Ecoflow Delta 1300 review. Thank you again. All the best for your Colorado adventures. Waiting for cooler temps here in mid August to venture to Lake Superior. Looking forward to Nova Scotia opening up to out of prov visitors
Christopher Lewis I want to see someone go off grid and figure out which unit is needed to provide light, radio , phone , camera and fans at a small remote cabin with two hundred watt solar panels and see how that goes,
What sleeve or cover is that on your go20? The cover they list in their site doesn’t have those rings on the corner like yours do. I need a way to fasten down my go20 in the Jeep
I live in my van and have a generator to run the fridge/freezer while I'm home (home is van) but I would need to use the jackery while I'm at work. In the summer it can get 100 degrees in my van while I'm at work - 8 hrs. Which jackery would you recommend. I'm trying my hardest not to break the bank
I am now a fan of Ecoflow lithiums. Why? They recharge SO much faster than the Jackery units. Look at my Ecoflow comparison video - th-cam.com/video/3D43KLGF6jA/w-d-xo.html Good luck shopping!
I'm in the market for one of these. Like a 500 watt one. I almost bought the JAKERY 500 but aftet seeing lots of review videos that show it's a very slow charger compared to other brands that are 2x faster but not as pretty I guess.pretty as no nice I put and output display readings. Any recommendations ?
We certainly have choices but remember to be SURE to buy a lithium with a 12v regulated port or you will waste your money. Yes, they are not fast recharging, but for me it is not a huge issue, because we rarely run ours down to even 50% before recharging. When driving, you can charge faster if you get an inverter you plug into the cigarette lighter port and then plug in the Jackery using the wall outlet. The Ecoflow 1300 is a lot more money, but charges 10 times faster than anything in the market - I'm not sure if the Ecoflow 600 charges as fast - look that up. The Ecoflow has a great display too. I am getting the 1300 from Ecoflow next week and I will be doing a review, but again it is a lot more money but has a huge amount of power. I would not buy it myself, but I am happy to do a review and get to keep it! : ) With the EcoFlow 1300 and the Jackery 160 & 500 - we are more than all set with our power needs on our upcoming 16-day trip to Colorado and RMNP. Happy researching and shopping. Blessings!
@@charlesmoman ahhhh... yep, been reading about that ultra fast charging one.l with the beautiful display. But from what I've gathered, it only fast charges of its not warm at all. Otherwise it's throttled. But thanks for replying. Happy road trip! Colorado is beautiful.
Great video and presentation! I bought a 12v fridge/freezer and thinking of buying J240. If 7 hrs is max power time, do I disconnect fridge from Jackery while I recharge with foldable solar panels? Or take fridge out of van, and put next to the charging 240? Any better and easy solution for powering fridge? I appreciate your feedback and advice!
You can charge the Jackery and run the fridge at the same time (pass-through charging), as long as there is some charge left. Leave the fridge in the van and use a 12v extension cord like this - amazon.com/gp/product/B019H3MI6E/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 You also want to have the Jackery in shade, not direct sunlight.
So running down the road, a simple 12 volt outlet maintains the chill The average time to recharge from 24 percent remaining jack. Capacity based only on driving and 13 volt is?

Thanks for the info. I’ve been searching for info on GO20 to use with my Jackery 290. Harbor Freight started selling them & got it on sale to use with CPAP. I read in a review where someone hocked up a 100w solar panel to the 290 & it kept it topped off using other devices throughout the day. I’ve been searching for a suitcase panel & how I came across the GO20. Before getting one I’m trying to find out if you can freeze water with it & how many minutes will it do it in.I want to freeze water bottles to put into a cooler to keep food & for drinking in a 5 day cooler. Also I would want to turn off fridge when solar panel stops charging for the night, will the food stay cold & for how long? If not I could use the freezer side to freeze water & for the night take out divider spreed out food around frozen water bottles. I do like the GO20 for picnics & for traveling. Can have ice cream at the beach.
We like the Go 20, and used it last year on a trip to Colorado. I can’t give you an exact time, but it does freeze water without any problem. If I want something frozen I usually have it frozen before I put it in. Now we have a 2018 Ford transit that we converted into a camper. So we have more room, and now we have the ICECO VL60D. It’s of course, much bigger but it can freeze things really fast. And it does not use a lot of energy. Good luck.
@@sharonmathew2225 True. The Jackery 300 would run that combo for less than two hours and the Jackery 500 - you get to do the math for that one! : ) All of this is true if the laptop has zero battery left in it.
A Jackery 500 takes 7.5 hours to recharge from 0%. On the other hand, the Ecoflow Delta 1300 took me only 1:42 to recharge from 0% and it is 800 watts more! Also check out the Ecoflow River 600 Max - 576 watts and same fast recharging. . . . and a great price point.
This is perfect timing, I have been looking at jackery products for my 12 fridge for a few days! Thank you for the review, the information was very helpful to me; I wanted the 160 because my main use will be day trips (beach, or take the kids to the zoo etc) so I figured I could just top it off with some solar and be good to go for a day no problem. Then I realized the 160 can't charge from DC while using the DC output (no passthrough charging except when using the inverter). But seeing the 14 hour runtime you had set at 35° assuages my concerns quite a bit. I read that your ambient temperature for testing was about 75, mine will be a little higher, and yours also has a nice insulating cover which mine doesn't. However, I don't need anywhere near 14hrs, I'd be plenty happy with 8. Thanks again!

Great video!!! Concise and to the point
Thanks
Great video. Very helpful for those who are researching what size power station they may need. Thanks for sharing!
Good luck!
This is such amazing information to share! Thank you so much!
Straight to the point thank you so much
Thanks - that is always my goal.
Charles you are awesome!! Double thumbs up! Thanks for doing this test so I won't have to! Keep it up buddy!
Good video presentation. Thank you very much and truly appreciate this info !
Jackery 300 is more than adequate as a dedicated power supply for most 12V fridge sizes and modes. ~1-2 Ah is typical current draw on a 50qt fridge at 90° ambient temp. With 300Wh available, that’s ~12-24 hours on 12V DC.
Yep.
Presize, detailed, just the best review
Thanks so much.
I have a 290 & 500 jackery.
The 290 will run my fridge , lights and 12v TV/DVD all night
The 290 will be down to
60% in the morning when I start my Honda eu2000i to change the jackery back to 100%.. works perfect.. and I have the
500 for a backup..
Great plan!
im gonna get the 500watt and the solar panel for the 32qt. for use on 3 day camping trips
Thank you for sharing the valuable information.
Can I ask if you think a Bluettie EB3A would keep the GO20 running overnight? Thanks for this video. It really is so very helpful.
I believe it would but it can depend on the ambient temps and if it is opened very often. I larger lithium would be better for sure.
Excellent data! Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Great information, thank you very much!
I'm a trucker and use my 12v fridge as a freezer. I plug it into the truck while rolling but when I'm sleeping I'm thinking about using the jackery 500 so I don't wake up to dead batteries. Hopefully it really works like you said in the vid that would be perfect
Absolutely works for us.
Thank you for the detail list very helpful 👍👍
Yeah! data FTW. Thank you for the engineer's DOE. I was running my 500wh batt 100-0 with my 60L fridge to find out exactly what you ran here. I'll mix-in a 100w solar panel in a mediocre location (putting out more like 35-50w) after.
Good luck with your planning. Many options out there.
The 240 ran my iceco vl60 24 hrs from a warm start.
Great test you give a good idea of a starting point for newbees like me..lol..
From my experience in 40+ Cel. in Australian summers you are better to use 24v ( Max 29.x v ) over 12v
I’m no expert. I just try to show the best I can what was sent to me. It will work for us in select situation, but not in incredibly high temperatures.
Thank you for this information.
very helpful video! we have been researching different options for our off grid setup...thank you!
When the fridge compressor is not running and there is not a draw on the Jackery... does the Jackery auto power off? My power station auto powers off when there is not a draw and that is an issue that i'm dealing with my 12v portable fridge.
I never have had a problem like that with the Jackery 500 - which I sold because now I only use Ecoflow lithiums.
@@charlesmoman It sounds like the Jackery had a regulated 12v output, and I found a power station that does as well and that solved my issue. Thanks for the reply!
Great video. Spot on on what I needed to know
Glad it was helpful!
Very helpful 👌
I'm trying to size a system for a small boondocks trailer.
I keep coming back to just going with a inverter generator. With one 200w panel. This should allow very minimal operation of generator. I will be camping in cold temps. (Down yo 0°f)
Battery type is also a consideration.
How about best value set up for a mid size solar system?
Lithiums do not like cold temps, so that can be an issue for you unless somehow you can keep them warm.
New subscriber-very informative-looking forward to watching more
Thanks.
Thankyou for helping us
Sure!
Excellent video, very good information, Thank You for sharing.
Glad it was helpful!
This is very very helpful to someone like myself trying to figure put the math of all this business
My question...will a deep.cycle battery 100Ah runs this longer than a jackery 240 watt........( how many Ah is a jackery 240).....
Or is my math and understanding still off ( earnest question ) ....
Trying to figure a cheap way to have backup power( deep cycle battery and 12 volt cig lighter clip on for the alpicool i want to get or jackery )
I do not know anything about deep cycle batteries and cannot answer that - sorry.
Crazy to think that two years ago the jackery 160 was one of the better battery Banks out there, and now they sell a 3800.
Thank you very much, this helps 👍👍👍
I noticed you have the insulated cover on your ICECO GO20. Did you test this with the cover on it? Does the cover actually make that big of difference? I just purchased this model on Amazon because of your review of it on your other video on the ICECO GO20. Looking forward to using this fridge/freezer!!!! Thank you!!!!
I have not tested with the cover, but I honestly think it will make very little difference. It just protects it more than anything.
Hi. Does the Jackery have enough power to run a maxx fan and a Dometic cf25 fridge or similar while boondocking? Thanks.
Bless you for this! I have the exact items and needed to figure out what charging routine I would need to set up on my road trip ♥️🧿
Glad I could help!
Great information. Thank you SO much!!!!
You are so welcome!
Does anyone know if a Rockpal 350 with 100 watt portable solar panel would run the IceCo go20 over a few days when the Rockpal needs charged can I charge with solar while still keeping the fridge plugged in and working. Only looking to use as fridge. Not as freezer. Thank u
Hi Charles, are these figures based on DC charging? AC, I believe drains very quickly.
@@charlesmoman Really appreciate your reply and for bringing the Ecoflow brand to my attention. All the best to you.
Great Review! Thank You. I am wondering if that can freeze water bottles in a hot van running from 8am-8pm and how many watt hours that would consume to do that? also wondering if off and closed with frozen water bottles overnight(8pm-8am) what temp we would find inside at 8am?
Not sure - I have not run those very specific tests.
When will we see the Lion Safari longterm test? This was an excellent review. Thanks!
My friend now has it and I will get with him about reviewing together.
I'm doing a van build and plan on running my 30-quart fridge with my Jackery 500 but how can I run my Maxxair fan at the same time?
We recently finished our Transit van build. I now use Ecoflow units. Watch this episode - you need to add a simple 12v fuse block. th-cam.com/video/e6vn0RaKSJE/w-d-xo.html
@@charlesmoman Thanks so much Charles for taking the time to help me out. Your instructions are so thorough that even a novice like me is willing to give this a go. Just a side note but my Maxxair fan has the black as positive and white negative. Weird.
This is a great video!!! Thank you!!!
If you ran it the jackery plugged into your 12-volt socket and then the fridge plugged into that would that increase the time and would your jackery stay charged
If the Jackery is plugged into an AC outlet or car 12v port, then it will run forever until you unplug.
What was the temp around while you tested? That is a variable that might be useful to some people. 90° vs 60° would be different results. A thought from yoir epic son. Fyi when do I get premiered on your youtube!
Around 75°. We will discuss appearance terms at a later date, son. : )

Good info on this tho. I thought that might help. With our current tempature it shows it holds up well.
Hello I am a little confused about this mini fridge does it have a built in battery? If yes how long does it last without another power source?
Can the Jackery 1000V2 charge a BougeRv CDR 45 cooler fridge
@@Dan-bj1cz It certainly could run it. I now prefer Ecoflow units. Much faster recharging than a Jackery.

I want more Jackery 500 tests!!!!!
Doing tests with the not-yet-released ICECO JP42 fridge/freezer right now.
Christopher Lewis I want to see someone go off grid and figure out which unit is needed to provide light, radio , phone , camera and fans at a small remote cabin with two hundred watt solar panels and see how that goes,
Thank. You. Immensely.
You are welcome. Now I use Ecoflow lithiums - they recharge SO fast.
Can the Jackery 500 and a 12 v fridge both be plugged in while driving?
Yes, but I would have them plugged into separate outlets - do not use a 12v splitter - it might create an overload and blow a fuse.
Why does the 160 outperform compared to the others? The 240 through 1000 perform linearly but the 160 kills it comparatively
No idea. Sorry.
Great information!👍👍
Glad it was helpful!
What sleeve or cover is that on your go20? The cover they list in their site doesn’t have those rings on the corner like yours do. I need a way to fasten down my go20 in the Jeep
It came directly from ICECO.
Look at my Ecoflow comparison video - th-cam.com/video/3D43KLGF6jA/w-d-xo.html
Good luck shopping!
Please test with solar panels!
I just cannot do every test people want - sorry.

Hi! How long does this take to freeze a block of ice?
I really do not know. I have not done a test like that. I just put ice for drinks in the unit and do not depend on it doing the freezing for me.
Leave the fridge in the van and use a 12v extension cord like this - amazon.com/gp/product/B019H3MI6E/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You also want to have the Jackery in shade, not direct sunlight.
Charles Moman thank you so much for this information! This is what I needed to know! Appreciate it! Take good care!
Will the 160 also accept pass through? So could I leave it charging in 12v while car is running then it kicks in when it is not?
So running down the road, a simple 12 volt outlet maintains the chill
The average time to recharge from 24 percent remaining jack. Capacity based only on driving and 13 volt is?
From 0% it takes about 5 hours - so from 24% it would be around 4 hours or so.

Good luck.
Thanks for the info & I’ll have to look into that other. 👍
This is EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED!!! Thank you!!!
Great video no running crap people wont use. If and get a power station the should get a solar panel to go with it. And a small gasoline generator too
Can I use multiple outlet adapter on Jackery 160w to run a laptop and seperate monitor?
Yes, I would go bigger rather than this quite small unit.Well . . . it also depends how many watts that monitor uses.
Today the Jackery 300 is coming out - a much better choice than the teeny 160.

I am quite sure the answer is yes because they have pass-through charging when using AC.

No problem 👍
new sub here, thanks for all the clear informative data!
You are welcome. Take a look at my EcoFlow lithium videos. I really like them now because they recharge so so much faster than the Jackery batteries.
How long does it take to recharge the Jackery?
