I have a black 2013 Fiat 500 pop that I’m sure I overpaid for at Carmax. I love the car and it’s fun to drive. I’ve had it for over a year now with no problems.
Just bought a used 2013 Fiat 500 for $4k. It had 150k miles but 4 months later now it has 157k miles. I drive it around Seattle and other areas in Washington. So far it handles great, fun to drive, and also cute. I get compliments but it does need a new BCM since the headlights don’t turn off. Gotta take off the battery but fuck it, I love driving it. Brings fun to my life despite the flaws.
I just bought a 2012 in a mint green pop convertible style. I adore it already! I obviously over paid but having confidence in its durability now is awesome and I think worth it the long run. Your video was exactly what I was looking for information about. And, probably not surprisingly lol, my right window seems like it’s on the verge of eventually giving out and a strap on my top broke the fist night I had it though the panoramic roof still works. I have a great warranty though. Thanks for a thorough video. Love my Fiat!
My feelings on some of the cheap interior parts of the 500 is that they were done to keep weight down. Good quality materials weigh a lot when combined with the insulation need for NVH control. I have no problems with the hard plastic door panels and the flimsy headliner if that is what it took to make the car a comparatively light weight vehicle compared to most cars today. Considering it only weighs 200 pounds more than my 1977 Fiat 124 Spider and still has sat radio, too many airbags to count, and has the body strength and rigidity to do well enough in crash testing, that is a feat onto itself.
Unless you've owned one you are unaware of the character of abarths...once tuned past 180bhp they surprise a lot of cars..keep on top of the servicing etc and they're no less reliable than most other badges..👍
@@oddities-whatnot thanks because these were the comments I was looking for I found one and I put a down payment and I’ll be picking it up on the 30th. I’m so excited lol. All my friends are making fun of me for liking it but whatever I think they’re missing out.
I just bought a fiat 500 pop and I heard so many bad things about it I really wanted to give it back. But honestly anything that’s used can break down at anytime. So ima just pray over it and keep it moving .
As long as you give it maintenance at the right times and you treat it well, it is not going to give you any problems. Besides, the model shown in this video is an older one. Just like phones, car companies try to excel and improve their models as time goes by. Fiat is not the exception. These are lovely cars and as long as you care for them,, everything will be fine. Moreover, the way a car behaves and breaks depends on the amount of km you drive.
153k on mine. Drive it 150 miles a day to work and back and have a blast getting 33-34 mpg. Just had the timing belt replacement done per manufacture recommendation and the old belt still looked great. Drivers window regulator replaced and rear bearings. The sunroof exploded at around 150k for some unknown reasons but that's why I have full coverage. Great car that's cheap and reliable.
@Jleen Official "Something" was glass. People replace glass in cars all the time, so yea...I call currently at 200k and going strong reliable. Besides, the sunroof shattering in the fiat is nowhere near as common as they are in Toyotas and Hondas.
I just got mine , limited edition Gucci fiat 500 convertible! Love, love, love it!!! Bought it from original owner, low miles and in excellent condition. I keep it covered and soft top looks totally new! Gucci leather seats with Gucci seat belts! Gucci trim throughout!! Yes, the ultimate Chic ride!! My dream car😘😘💕
It often does it on the rear edge just behind the door without improper lifting. When I bought my 2015 brand new, every one on the lot had the sideskirt popping up just behind the door.
@@AlvinBrinson I wouldn't rule out improper lifting hasn't already happened even on the new cars with the post-delivery prep, removing spring spacers from shipping, usually adding swirl marks to your pristine paint, etc. Could have been poor assembly too. But all I've ever seen has been from the lift pinching the bottom and then the upper portion starts peeling off

Hi I live in nyc and own a 2012 Fiat Sport. If the weather gets to 20 degrees the power steering (which is electric no fluid) will not work until a few minutes after the car warms up. While Im waiting the dash light (battery) above the seat belt light is on and then goes off once the power steering works. Have you encountered anything like this? Thanks Barry NYC
