Some people won't have heard of Abarth, and as far as they are aware, just got overtaken by a madman in a Fiat 500... one of the top 5 best things about an Abarth!
it's actually rather annoying, people are always trying to talk to you in parking lots, some just won't go away asking stupid shit as you just want to get in and leave
I've never had that problem, most people think its just a cheap ass base model Fiat.
Unfortunately Abarth is exactly this indeed. At least this was my experience with my Abarth which was so faulty from day one. But I loved it anyway. :-(

Nice driving! I bet this is a great car for the nurburgring, not too fast, not too slow, makes a good noise so you can enjoy the straights that much more.
I remember my first and only time on the Ring very well. It was absolutely terrifying. I was deeply impressed with the huge g-forces that even occur at cruising speeds on the hilly terrain. I am chronically overcautious, so it would take me at least 50 laps, if not even more to drive like you do in this video. Great respect mate.

Just drove for the first time at the Green Hell today in my Volvo in the wet and looking at this is does take balls guys. You don’t know until you’ve driven this track. It is scary. Great performance mate.

I think I couldn't go any faster than this, you need a few mods though because the stock Abarth is quite unstable if you wanna drive it like this

Great drive, great video. Thanks for that. I've got a '13, stock so far. You've boosted the engine with a different turbo and( I assume) a differently programmed ECM. Was wondering if you've also upgraded the f/r stabilizer bars and the brakes? Also curious as to what setting you were using on the traction control(?).

If you look in the 4:57 toyota gt86 is really chasing you when you brake and emergency lights are activated and is thought to have a breakdown and reduces the pace. Nice lap and nice car!

Dimenticavo...ho visto che hai utilizzato il TTC, ottima scelta a mio avviso. Molti non lo usano sottovalutandone erronemente i vantaggi in pista, io invece trovo sia davvero utile perché il comportamento dell'auto cambia notevolmente.

bello mi è piaciuto il giro , il ring bisogna conoscerlo bene per andare forte ci sono alcuni punti dove l'asfalto è scivoloso con l'umido. c'è stato un momento in cui ti stava scappando la macchina e l'hai corretta con lo sterzo mi sono spaventato io da qui immagino te , si parla di millesimi di secondo di reazione . complimenti e ciao .

Ciao Marchettino! Complimenti, bel giro e bel video come sempre.Curiositá: questa sicuramente é modificata (credo) ma c'é un tempo ufficiale relativo alle versioni da 135cv e 160cv full stock? Non trovo un tempo che sia uno di una 500 Abarth senza modifica alcuna! Son curioso, avendo una Kit Elaborazione 595 mi chiedevo quale fosse il tempo su una pista così...grazie e spero tu mi possa rispondere!
Ciao Nik, grazie per i tuoi complimenti! In fase di sviluppo Abarth ha testato il modello anche al Nurburgring però non ha mai rilasciato un tempo, sempre ammesso che ne abbiano preso uno.
***** Non sapevo assolutamente di questa cosa, sarebbe interessante sapere il tempo ufficiale, giusto per fare un paragone con altre vetture. Tra l'altro ho seguito la tua avventura alla Gumball 3000...belli i servizi realizzati e bella la biposto! Però non ho potuto apprezzare un utilizzo consocono del cambio, è vero che lo utilizzavano sempre con la frizione premuta in fase di cambiata? Perchè non è stato provato per come è stato pensato, ovvero senza l'utilizzo della frizione? Ti chiederei poi una cortesia se puoi, visto che sei uno dei più esperti sul cinquino. Da tempo collaboro con Wikipedia per l'allestimento della voce dedicata alla 500 Abarth (versione ita), quando hai voglia daresti un occhiata per valutare se ci sono eventuali correzioni da apportare? tra l'altro mancano alcune foto da inserire come la versione "Zerocento" o la Opening Edition, ma per motivi legati al Copyright non possono essere inserite immagini prelevate da Google, solo foto inedite o con Copyright ben specificato. Tu hai qualcosa da inserire? Grazie fin d'ora per la collaborazione, se vuoi fatti un giretto sul mio canale youtube...non sono i tuoi video ma faccio quel che posso!! Complimenti ancora! :)
Nik JAc Si a dir la verità non ho capito nemmeno io come funziona quel cambio, quando ci sono salito la frizione è stata sempre utilizzata.. Hai fatto veramente un gran lavoro, la pagina è ricca di informazioni! Per le foto della Zerocento o la Opening Edition puoi prendere le immagini ufficiali rilasciate dalla casa, quel tipo di immagini sono sempre copyright free e spesso le testate automobilistiche ci mettono sopra anche il loro logo. Grazie per i complimenti ;)
***** grazie a te per le info! ;) ll cambio Bacci Romano è un "dog ring", ovvero un cambio con innesti ad H come un normale manuale, ma con il grande vantaggio di poter inserire le marce senza utilizzo della frizione un po' come un sequenziale. Sostanzialmente va fatto a un certo numero di giri motore, previa rottura del cambio stesso (deve essere usato da professionsiti in quel modo), ma il vantaggio più grande se usato in questo modo e che hai una trazione praticamente continua, senza salti di marcia: il cambio ha due alberi con marce pari e dispari già pronte e se non si utilizza la frizione le marce si innestano senza vuoti di trazione. Questa la teoria...ma mi chiedo perchè nessuno l'abbia ancora provato così, c'è solo un brevissimo trailer rilasciato da Abarth stessa che ne mostra il reale funzionamento...impressionate la velocità di cambiata! Ma al Gumball 3000 non si vedeva tutto ciò, tempi di cambiata da cambio convenzionale. In merito alle foto da inserire su Wikipedia, ci sono parecchie restrizioni purtroppo, proverò a vedere se è possibile seguire il tuo consiglio sul copyright, grazie mille! E ricorda che qualsiasi novità o curiosità tu possa sapere sul cinquino, puoi sempre inserirla su Wikipedia (purchè documentata), o al limite se ti va contattami pure,dato che sei uno dei pochi esperti in circolazione su questo argomento! Grazie ancora e buon divertimento con la tua macchinina! :)
