I saw this video just in time!! I have an interview next week for a UR nurse. I was getting freaked out about the interview. I'm going to purchase the class for the interview question bank. THANK YOU!
Thank you for posting this. I am feel less nervous about this future transition after seeing your presentation. Well done and best wishes in your career.
Wow, you guys just saved me tons of time looking up all this info! Appreciate it! Having health issues from N95 wearing, good to know there is a decent paying alternative.
Hi again Jennifer! So unfortunately this is a full time position - or at least that is what it seems from our mentors. But you can always keep looking to see if there are any contracts, but its typically a full time remote position.
Hi! We have seen utilization review jobs for those with just high school education, but these would be lower paying then those mentioned in the video above. For 90k paying roles those unfortunately do require therapist, therapy assistant or RN or NP licenses
Hello your video is very informative. Questions is I’m a COTA with 14 years of experience and was an assistant to the director of rehab do I still have a tough time landing a job in utilization reviewer ?
Hi Billy, so glad you found our video helpful! I think you have all the qualifications so you definitely would be in a perfect position to apply based on all your various exp, so I do encourage you to try this career route. It make take a few months as there are fewer UR roles for assistants than therapists but we do see roles every month for assistants 😀
@@billycovilla1658 we have found that it has been helpful for several reasons, it speeds up the job finding and search process as you'll know what search terms and what companies to look into and then it helps you stand out as it shows you are dedicated to the transition as well as knowledgable in the area. Here is the link to our certification www.alternativehealthcarecareers.com/courses/becomeautilizationreviewer, it comes with 7 hours of ceus and a free resume edit , let know if you have any questions 😀
Hi! You can self submit to ASHA, we provide the certificate and anything else you need but unfortunately we haven't applied for ASHA ceus yet, but we do still feel its well worth it as you also get a resume edit. Please let me know if you have any questions 😊
Hi! I would recommend our course here www.alternativehealthcarecareers.com/courses/becomeautilizationreviewer but in addition, taking any billing, documentation, insurance related CEUs will be helpful too :)

HI Brandy, good question - it is pretty competitive and they look from someone with strong billing and documentation skills so I'm not sure it is a good position for new grads but perhaps after a couple years of experience.

I'm an OTA and I'm interested in working remotely and part-time. Can this job be done as a 1099 worker?

Are you still offering assistance?
Do you have to be a nurse? Can I start from Certified Medical Administration Assistant

I’ve been a PT reviewer for 4 yrs in GA. My job is now wanting me to review for OH. License wise, is that allowed?
Hmm, are you licensed in OH, I believe you have to be licensed where ever you review?
As a foreign medical graduate can I do this? I have taken and passed USMLE step 1 and 2 and looking for work before residency.
Usually they want united states licenses so as long as you are licensed in the US then you should be able to

Will utilization review for therapists still be in demand with PDPM in place? What happens if Managed or commercial insurances move to PDPM?
Hi Sandi, yes I think so, they are hiring quite a bit so I think it is very much a growing field :)
Are there extra certifications that you need to take to become more “marketable”?

Is this selling your soul to an insurance company? What if you are making $110,000 as a home care PT?
No its not selling your soul. You actually do get to help people once you in the role, you guide them through the rehab process
