How I know with is REAR TRUNK LEFT & RIGHT ELECTRIC SHOCK ASSIST SET or Rear Trunk LIFTGATE TAILGATE CONTROL MODULE ?

My tailgate buttons and its light and drivers tailgate button went out at same time as everything stopping working. This make me think it must be the module because it controls electrical stuff. So i am taking an guess on mine. Will find out soon enough.

I have ordered two struts with the same stock # the dealer provided and they both were 1/2 too long, is that normal? Do I need to push it in and make it fit?

After installing the new strut. My tailgate isn’t closing all the way when I hit the close button nor is it opening at all.
