    1-is it better if you make cylinder taller or gear taller or both. Can rpm be faster?and if you did that do u need to make air valve larger?
    Please answer my questions

    • @jonny999
      @jonny999  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you take smaller and shorter cylinders you will definitely achieve more speed, but less torque...
      In my case the big cylinders need too much air to operate very fast.
      The limited air flow through the hoses limits the speed.

    • @jonny999
      @jonny999  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey,
      i think the video explains it the best:
      At 2:36 you can see quite good how the motor works.
      The motor runs verry slow there, additionally you can set the playback speed to 0.5
      Basicly each time one of the 4 small 3/2-way valves (on the right) gets activated by the cam shaft, one of the two big 5/2-way valves changes its position and the correspoding cylinder changes its direction (retract or expand)
      If you really want detailed information about what happens at one shaft rotation let me know :)

    Cómo lograr una velocidad de giro parejo en toda la circunferencia con un pistón solo ?

    • @jonny999
      @jonny999  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To get a motor with only one cylinder to run stable you need a flywheel. This will buffer energy thus smooths out the inconsistent acceleration and torque produced by the cylinder. (see attached metal disk: th-cam.com/video/V_o7zze3yBw/w-d-xo.html )

    • @jonny999
      @jonny999  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On my website you can find a graph which shows the torque vs angle. This might also explain your question.

    Did you think about an emergency shutdown of the engine? The outtakes looked scary.

    • @jonny999
      @jonny999  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, that was quite dangerous^^
      What do you mean, a system which can stop the engines rotation very quickly?

    • @maxmustermann2596
      @maxmustermann2596 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jonny999 Stopping the rotation quickly would be perfect, but I thought about stopping it at all. It seems like it would run forever and move around the yard, if noone switches the fuel off. At 3:30 it looks like there is the danger of 1. being hit by the drive shaft, 2. being caught in the flywheel or being stept on your foot by a jumping engine. In that situation I would rather like run away than being anywhere close to reach for any switches. Personally I would be fine, if disconnecting the fuel would solve the situation within 5-10 seconds (Like a remote control of that switch. Or an automatic, which stops the engine, when it starts moving and jumping.).
