  • Last time I went grocery shopping I didn't film it because I thought it would be boring. From the comments though, it looks like some of you wanted to see inside a typical supermarket. So join my as we do our errands in Piano di Sorrento. Animal feed, bills to pay and a grocery shop in a typical small Italian supermarket with a great deli counter.
The fish hoodie Carlo is wearing is from www.jp-amalfi.com
My Noir sweatshirt is from www.lovesweatandtees.com
Russo Marmo for all your marble needs.

I absolutely loved going shopping with you. I currently live in a long term care residence in Hamilton Ontario Canada. I use a wheelchair so getting around is a bit limited. In my younger years, my husband and I had a bulk food store right when it first became popular. Now my son and his father have a cheese shop in a small town just outside of Hamilton- very unique and specializing in imported cheese. I loved shopping in small shops especially just like the one you were in. I get carried away listening to you and almost feeling like I am walking with you - in a part of the world I never got to see. Thank you for taking me along.

I encountered this reality even as a tourist - stayed in Praiano last year for about a week and we went shopping several times. It always involved trudging up many many flights of stairs, as our rental apartment was at the very top of the town! I loved it there but didn’t always love the workout of going up all those steps.

12:05 This is exactly what I've been wondering, like how do old people get up and down the hills or how do you get deliveries of large things, your weekly shopping. What if you have a baby and stroller? Or twin babies? That bit about no one being in sight when your arms are full was funny, I imagined your neighbors peeking through the window, hiding until you pass. And here I've been lamenting living in a 3rd floor walk up.
But those Blue Zones of Happiness, like Sardinia, where people have the best longevity, are often highlands, with old folks having to go up and down a bit of hills each day. Keeps you fit and active. Luckily you have a big strong hunk of a man to carry all that heavy stuff. He made it look like nothing. Carlo seems like just the kind of man I'd like to have. What a wonderful life you two have created. You are both very lucky.
P.S. I love your pink rain jacket. And that cute haircut. Thanks for showing us how you shop!
