It might be a bit late for you, but for anyone else attempting this challenge, if u accidentally dash, u can die in the same room to avoid failing the challenge
the jump at 0:35 is done because the game makes it so you cant get all the way up a wall, but if you jump up and then jump again you can start the jump from higher up, allowing you to clear the gap. this is reffered to in the community as a 5-jump 2:20 that jump is the same as the 5-jump from earlier, but with momentum
I've tried to beat Celeste without climbing, and I could only get to the mirror temple. I don't know how far you can get without using the hiccups from the assist mode
@@gmdFrame I think my run may have ended in the last vertical room of the mirror temple section of chapter 7. The moving platform makes is just about impossible to pass.

The Celeste discord has some great strats out there. Helped me quite a bit to do this deathless for the double golden

That’s a really cool idea, if you do need to use the variant mode or something maybe it could just be a minimalist run too.

Actually, you almost never have to actually climb. That's because of the neutral jumps.

I was in about an hour and 40 minutes when I accidentally dashed and had to restart.
