Chris, You did an excellent job with the intro this week but that is almost expected! You have a natural gift...👍 After watching you two struggle with nature this week I may just stick with trapping chipmunks! A whole lot easier to pack out but sure takes a bunch to make some mittens!🤠
This was incredible. Glad you had the 4 wheeler to help a bit. The chocolate lab brought back many fond memories. Glad the camera was safe and no one went for a swim. Let Ken know that he can extend the life on his basket with mineral oil or butcher block oil. Apply with a spray bottle. Let the oil soak in and then wipe off the excess. Don't throw the oily rags in a corner. Glad i waited to watch this. Color and defination are amazing.
It's not like you guys don't work hard enough trapping now you have to fight the floating sod and not enough ice!! Trapping is a bitch in these conditions!! You guys are true outdoors men. Now for your sake I hope the prices are up this year!!! Great video Chris and it's always a pleasure to see Ken.
You guys are amazing, I love your enthusiasm for trapping. As a trapping man of the same age as both of you, I realize how much work there is in beaver trapping, I applaud you for the effort. Thanks for sharing this and I can't wait for the next video.
Great video love both of your channels and watch them all and give them all a 👍 watching you guys work your butts of to help keep the rest of the Beavers health and help keep the forests safer is great but i know muskrats are not Worth as much money but they can do as much damage as a Beavers in the long run just asking why don't you guys go after the muskrats at the same time if you guys are all ready there just asking thanks for sharing your videos i love them 👍👍🇺🇲🇺🇲
Time mostly. We just focus on one kind at a time, also there are not many rats where we beaver trap. We will be doing some spring rat trapping this year just for fun....soon.
All your years of experience you know the ice out happens much faster than ice up!! Should definitely be in the $.CHRISTMAS. THOUGHT THIS WAS SPRINGTIME. 2023 LATE ICE UP.
@@outofthewoodyard I'm a Yooper. When I was seeing the video was thinking you were getting an early spring. Where are you guys located. Can't be far from the U.P.
Do you set triggers up or down on the 330's? Had one trapper tell me he thought less rat catches with triggers on the bottom facing up- maybe just a preference. Glad to see you guys out enjoying the good weather and sport, thanks for sharing the experience
So when are you going to do a catch and cook... It's Lent... The beaver was approved by the Catholic Church to be a Friday meat during Lent... That was like around 250 years ago and I'm not Catholic... But they are tasty critters
Hats off to both of you ol chaps! Beaver trapping is some of the hardest work and you two still make it look easy! Keep after em!
Thanks! Will do!
Excellent work despite the unseasonable weather this winter! Always enjoy watching your videos.
Glad you like them!
So fun watching you friends! You guys work so hard and catch a lot of nice beavers! Thank you for sharing and Good luck with everything!

Mostly trigger on bottom.
Did you guys buy that sling to carry beaver or make it up yourselves?
Made it, just a piece of rope!
Nice job. After boarding beaver hides, then what's the next step?
Pull them off the boards and sell the hides...then tanning then make stuff.
@@outofthewoodyard thanks
March 02 , 2024 ice is gone for the season now 😊.
Yup, it is going fast here now too.
No snow will make for an interesting dispersal this spring
Yup, we are worried it will not be much.???
Yah it will freeze up alright. Till March
Maybe??
