I use my chainwhip/vice even when tightening the cassette just to take a bit of pressure off of the hub although it's not required. Great pro tips as usual.
How about a stuck cassette on an XD driver? When I turn the internal "nut"" it just keeps spinning- gets hard , then easy, then hard , easy again etc... and you can feel and hear a click, but it will not come off - when I pull - it removes the cassette with the driver attached from the hub body. Any Ideas?
