Great show James! Yes, I'm still jealous! Hahaha! I can't wait for spring. Those are some more nice finds! The tree with the knee is really interesting! You'll have to put a banjo on that knee and see how many people start singing Oh Susanna...
Love your videos! I took cuttings from my rosemary plant and am growing them on in order to try to bonsai one or two of them. We'll see what happens! Also, a question for you. Doesn't Nova Scotia have any laws protecting trees from being harvested? I wouldn't be able to go and harvest trees like you do. You're fortunate!
Love that opening scene (from your home I presume)...So cool that you can harvest trees with such a complete root mass...So would you agree that Lichen on the trunk and branches is not as detrimental to the trees health as Lichen on the needles/leaves...As I type this I kind of answered my own question as if there is Lichen on the trunk and branches its going to spread to the needles and leaves...That Shale pit sure provides some nice material for you to work with...Very enjoyable to watch you create this really nice little forest...Thanks for sharing...Sequim, WA...
Too symmetrical and linear in my opinion. Would it be improved if the center tree was moved forward, and either one of the side trees moved inward a tad??? Just my 2 cents.
Great potting on them. Moss and rock setting for this small forest, super cool.

Ground is frozen tonight no more yamadori for a while thanks 🙏 for watching happy new year
These are some magnificent finds in your hunting expedition in the shale pit.
Very nice area...I have an ancestor who was a loyalist in the Revolutionary War. After the war, he reportedly settled across from you in Saint John..❤

Now Thats a thumbnail! Like a fisherman holding up his fine catch, prize!
Will the bottom wood in the box stay for 2 years without rotting through before hand or did you seal the wood?
Hello che varietà sono queste conifere , mi interessa il nome boanico?🎉
They are blue spruce
