wrote this on Bonsai Heirloom, but I wanted to share it here as well: I'm 23 years old, started bonsai when I was 20. Had a few trees back then, including 2 pine trees grown from seed, went trough a breakup, drug and alcohol abuse, and the trees stayed at one of my parents´ properties neglegted for 2 years. Became clean, went back and found the trees under a set of stairs, thriving, still alive. They must have gotten just enough sunlight through the set of stairs, and rainwater dripping down, to survive. I'm clean today, and now I have 22 trees in development. To me, bonsai was, and has become an escape from those dark times, and I cherish them in the beauty it has become. It has given me hope, and it gives me strenght. Seeing those trees from back then, when I went trough those times, neglecting myself, thriving today as I am, really is emotional. That Is why I love Bonsai.
I'm not even that much of a plant/gardening person but these videos are just so well made and beautiful that i watch all of them the second they appear
Yeah, like have literally zero interest in Bonsai outside of this dude's videos but I will literally stop what I am doing to watch them the second they come out. Great content is great content regardless the subject matter it would seem!
Every video is better than the last. I never expected this channel to be a full blown videography and editing powerhouse. I was just here from the beginning for the peaceful bonsai

That was a nice surprise, and not something I'd planned to film! I've posted some updates on my Patreon, but there are also follow up videos coming of most of the trees featured in previous videos
@@BonsaiReleafI’d be extremely interested to see how some previous subjects are faring. This video yet again left me breathless, but somehow in a laid back way. Splendid. Keep doing you!

it's honestly breathtaking, especially when one knows all your previous videos. some great things require patience, that's true for trees as much for your videos. it was worth the wait.
What I love about this video is it shows how much preparation is involved with bonsai, planning 2 years ahead to build the strength of the tree before doing anything. Then carefully considering the angles, the branch placement and detailed wiring. I love the humour in the video too. I don't know what you do for a living but I suspect it's a very creative job.
