brother the common talk is that Astor has issues with performance (1st & 2nd gear pickup) and very poor Mileage (6-8 kmpl).is this still the same or is it rectified? i live in a hilly area (ooty) i jus love this car but a beautiful car without pereformancce and mileage is a bad buy isnt it? your opinion please.
For hilly areas, if the budget allows, you should prefer the turbo with torque converter. If you have to go with NA engines, Elevate will do a great job.
Is the Astor underpowered on highways (while overtaking) & in the hills, (while ascending) especially with 4 people inside ? Secondly, does the sunroof create too much heat inside the cabin ?

Would rather buy sofa & relax than MG Astor. For any Car refined & efficient engine is the most important basic factor. Engine Refinements ensures that it will offer less Maintenance & good efficiency. Astor is Fuel guzzler & that's the reason why MG is offering with loaded features from Base variant. But Bharatiye buyers are Smart enough not buy the Chinese ASTOR for features & built Quality only. Truly disappointed with your Review. Atleast per month Sales nos. dekh kar samaj jana chaiye tha. Kushaq-Tiagun, Astor are available of the self without any waiting in the Competition. Hence these are the Cars which customers do not have great trust & confidence to invest hard earned money. Agree with your review. I am owning Astor CVT since 18+ months, drove 20k+. Coming from driving OG Skoda Rapid diesel, I am satisfied with this car. Obviously I have to change my driving style. Drive sedately (true for all CVT's) and Astor provides you the most relaxing driving experience! Fuel efficiency in mixed city traffic (say 30 kms in 1.5 hours in Mumbai) returns 9-10 km/ltr with AC on. My drives from Mumbai to Pune have returned even 15-16 km/ltr. Only problem is the bounciness experienced by rear seat passengers at highway speeds of 100km+. May be that's the price you pay for suspension tuned towards softness and high centre of gravity. Pls note all my comparisons are with sedans which come with lower cog. Overall I would say go for Astor for its unique character, creature comforts, large panaromic sunroof, outstanding MG service experience, comfy city ride and its value for money.
I checked astor with sunroof. But astor has panaromic sunroof with folding cloth curtain, I have heard that it badly heats the car cabin if its sunny day outside. And ac does not work efficiently. Please help on this.. as I m unable to take buying decision on it.
City mein kaun si gadi ka average hai..creta ivt bhi 8-10 ka deti hai Pune mein astor is also giving me around 9.. jyada farak nahin hai..lekin the value and premium quality and safety is much higher..it's heavier than any car in this segment . It is 1785 kg in CVT .
Aap ke pass astor hai ya aise hi you tube ka gyan... Kyunki yeh heaviest car hai..underpowered nahin .. aapko driving sikhna chahiye ki kaise ek heavy car ko pick karte hain...I'm owning astor .and have never felt underpowered..

As per most Indians these days running off to buy so called safe car tata the only thing which matters is safety. That's why they buy the tractor engines of Tiago and punch . Looking at that mindset this offers 5 star safety as well as good interiors

Maine Astor ko 75-80 ki speed main chalayi I got 24 kmpl average..itni comfortable car hai ye koi or ni hogi itni comfortable car jitni Astor hai❤
