More than cons, I could emphasize with your anguish & frustration that Honda with a little more application could have produced an outright winner beating Creta/Seltos hollow but failed to do so? While they got almost everything right but for a few important misses in terms some features, cabin insulation, standard 6 Airbags ..... However, I think Creta's city mileage is piss poor ( I own a Creta automatic for last 6 years) & lower than Elevate.....as many readers have already pointed out so it really can't be a "Con" of Elevate!
I own V CVT variant and I just met with an accident with my family with me and the car flipped too. I want to tell you that this car is a bull , nothing happened to any of us like some minor injuries and the car got fully damaged from the driver side but I did not even got a single scratch. Honda may have little less features I agree but this car saved my life and I'm glad I choose Elevate.

I think you're missing out a point, Honda isn't targeting Creta audience. Honda's are and have always targeted a more sensible crowd. I agree Elevate misses out on gimmick features, but these cars are built to last. My mother owns a Honda City 4th gen and now planning to switch to Elevate. I think it's overall a great long term car.
I got elevate top variant. I am not much into fancy features and often most features lie unused till the end of time. I do wish they had little bit of bling factor like maybe a soothing light around the dash during night but i can easily leave it behind for a good ride. The worst feeling came after i bought was when i opened glove box at night. I didnt think of it while test drive. And glove box is so small and no light. I dont know if its unimportant for all, bht glove box is darkest corner of cabin, and all important car docs are stored there. It has no light nothing. And size so small as if its a formality to fill up space. I dont see glove box as a feature but a utility thing in car. The next missing thing i feel is TPMS. Again i dont see it as luxury but a bare minimum. I dont know why even basic things are not there in top variant. No sunglass holder. I dont mind but again could have easily been given for people who do use those. I bought this car because it wowed me by the visibility and the interior rustic wooden feel and finish. It has its own individuality in era of flashy gloss interiors with scores of buttons. But what it lacks, Thats not just lack of feature some are so basic aspects people dont even think to check in 2024 for a car.
Panaromic sun roof is a useless feature for Indian conditions. Wonder why it is actively promoted by various channels !!! It has become difficult to find a top end suv without a panaromic sunroof 😢
Once upon a time Verna had all four wheel disc brakes but later discontinued.I have Amaze 2015 ,earlier I owned Maruti Zen Lxi petrol and I drove it from 2002 to 2019 it had front disc only but Honda Amaze has superb brakes. As a conclusion it can be inferred that automobile engineers know better than a user or reviewer what feature is necessary for safety. Honda Elevate is sturdy and crash test safety approved car.
I own base model and i believe that it offers a great value for money at that price bracket, so completely disagree on that point, rest it's a just few months old, let it's facelift be in market, also 360 camera and pana sunroof are only aesthetic things, no brand offers at this price level, also I don't know why people insist so much on cruise control, if you are lazy enough not to drive your vehicle just hire a driver, and regarding music system dear it's a car to travel not your bedroom with home theater, let things do better what they are supposed to be, a good music system without distraction is required just not to get drives boring, not meant to disco, Elevate is a great product however there are scopes of improvement everywhere, highly recommended
I'm glad you enjoy your car and don't think features like this are significant, but since everyone has a different viewpoint, it was necessary for me to address all of these points because I'm addressing a wide range of people. Something that seems minor to you could be major issue to someone else.
Creta is giving panoramic sunroof at 16 lakh on road price. Cruise control seems basic when your legs need some rest while driving for long distances. It's not only about enjoying, few features are meant to help and cruise control is one of them.
Fully agree with yr view ...I own ELEVATE V CVT...and I feel this price bracket I bought 14.55 lk onroad for it.. no need more features happy too have it ...
I own Honda Elevate ZX CVT. I'm super happy with the car. Yes, it NVH levels are 30%-40% more than seltos, creta etc. and engine noise is only when you are overtaking quickly else its butter smooth. I am trying to have rubber binding to doors to see if I can reduce the noise levels by 10-15%. Provided that the car is spacious and comfortable for long drives with family and most importantly you get safety + reliability + good after sales service which no other brand offers at this price range. Having clocked 4500 kms. The ADAS worked completely fine. The drive is effortless and very comfortable with good suspension. Yes, there are cost cuttings and fitting issues + panel gaps in this car. I wish Honda could have fixed it.
@@sreenivaskampala : Its bearable, and there is a resolution this issue that's going on internally between owners and Honda. I may not be right to comment it here but yes there is lot of traction going on this issue and we can get fix for this soon. But you can't reject this vehicle on this factor alone, since its very good car. I have driven it on highways and city.
@@sreenivaskampala : its too early to comment on this at the moment we have raised issue to higher managment and now its with R&D department to come with a fix. But the overall NVH is 30-40% higher than seltos and creta.

Agree with all the cons but we cannot judge the build quality of a Vehicle just with the door quality alone right ? All the main pillars of the car chasis are build to absorb the impact of unexpected events through which we can judge the overall build quality of the car in terms of safety right ?
You have completely missed discusses ADAS. Taigun Kushal don’t have it. Creta Seltos don’t have at price of ZX CVT elevate. In my view at 16 lakh ex show room this is far more feature rich than others. You need to compare features at same price points.
Am glad honda got this , I don't want super features. I want longevity and simply a car tht I can trust on. Am buying this against all your cons . And it'a meaningful car with safety adas and lane watch + stability instead of show off. Ty for your interest toward Honda overtaking everyone .tht will only take the price higher😅 An apparantley zx cvt gives more mileage thn an MT
Like I said if honda offers a variant above zx with features to match hyundai cars like panoramic sunroof and other fancy features they can pull the few customers back to their showroom who want fancy features, doing this will improve their market share. This way you can still go for zx and be satisfied and others can look for even better option..customer is the king - the more variants and choice you offer the better.

Thankyou again bro . best thing is you put across stuff dipolomatically :) Also Honda is not in the game of selling volumes at all and they are happy with units being sold the salesman told me and it will only improve they are confident.
Completely agree with your opinion bhai, Honda had a chance to dominate the market with Elevate but it seems they themselves were not excited about this product otherwise they should have made something exciting about this car. They did a good job in all important areas but there is a void in other areas.
You are spot on with your Review on ELEVATE. Honda except for City they have always been offering Step motherly treatments to their other models. That's precisely the reason why JAZZ, WR-V,..... were forced to discontinue. Coming to Elevate. Why on earth they did not offer the same feature list as on City. City offers the best & Comfortable Seats but it's not the same on Elevate. Elevate Cabin Insulation also is poor. Engine Noise is too much when press the accelerator from Mid to high speed. To be honest Honda India are forced to offer Elevate in a hurry. Maybe that's the reason why they forgotten to work on Cabin Insulation. City with same engine the cabin noise is well suppressed. Honda's idea is to get buyer to enter showroom for Elevated & on comparison with CITY they offer you CITY as far Better option. Incase if they they do not offer more or better than competition shortly. Their Elevate Sales will start declining for sure. Its NOW or NEVER.
I took a test drive and also checked with the salesman who was very knowledgeable and his words about the compromise in some areas is because Honda doesn't treat this product at the same level as City and this is mid-size SUV so some premiumness will still be maintained in City... They have priced it and provided features to attract customers from its 4.3 m segment of cars
Under thigh support made me to choose creta SO IVT over ZX elevate CVT. Both r costing same 20 lakhs. I get adas in elevate for the same price, still under thigh support was a break deal point for me. Creta facelift has fixed this issue. Plus, back seat comfort is very poor, tat too worst for middle passenger.
It's a very practical car! Features mean increasing cost! Yes, some basic low-cost features like rear window curtains and type C ports would have been welcome!
I own VX model of Elevate. And Driving this car is absolutely pleasure. If compared to other Car in its segment with non turbo engine, the engine of Elevate is bullet proof and much more powerful. No problem in running it to the speed of 150 KMPH and intact asks for more at higher rpm. Another good thing is you don’t need to downshift the gear during the hill drive. And its handling is gold standard (not comparing with German cars which I consider to be best in the category). I agree on lack of features, but features are again depends upon person’s choice. While I prefer comfortable and power drive, other might like interiors to be aesthetic and techno driven.
I agree with one point that in VX variant they have included Sunroof but not Cruise control, This is so frustrating !! And yes the lower milage issue. Rest all are not big concerns or drawbacks at all.
@@MudangKanya Creta is better but it is also expensive, so better is Elevate from that stand point for the following aspects : safety, engine reliability, handling, ground clearance, and boot space. I chose Honda over Seltos/Creta!

its actually a good review with pros and cons.. I also have a thought the Honda could do better with features and variant options, unfortunately they didn't offer hybrid as well which I was looking for and that's why i skip the elevate. I appreciate your effort on the elevate, it will definitely help others on buying decision of this car. 👍

Spot on review. Sold Amaze after 5.5 years and was hunting for a good SUV. I hated Honda cars ground clearance. Thigh support also not good. And worse, the V CVT model did not have cruise control. Honda has always treated India as a 2nd or 3rd class market. It shows in their attitude. I waited for the Elevate. Test drove it 4 times. Saw that the V variant did not have cruise control and rear wiper, under thigh support not good, engine noise, power lag - overtaking on hwy would be an issue. VX had a sun roof which we did not want. Except for rear wiper, rest of the missed were present even in VX. Dumped the elevate and purchased Taigun 1.0 TC. Hyundai and Kia - those 2 shiny item numbers were rejected. When I had purchased the Amaze, I had almost argued with the dealer for the absence of cruise control. And still after 5 years same attitude, philosophy. No improvement. Honda certainly is placing the Indian market lower down than others like south east Asia, Europe, US etc.
Recently, one of the Honda dealers informed me that they can update the camera system in Honda City to 360 degrees camera on payment. Hope they can do the same in Honda Elevate also.
You should ask if the product is a genuine hona accessory or aftermarket. I've seen numerous vendors make this offer using third-party merchandise. Customers believe it's a real product and are willing to spend money on it. I would advocate purchasing a top model rather than adding aftermarket extras, or else purchasing what is possible and being satisfied without touching the fit and finish of the car.
At 15.5L V CVT was cheapest and best in segment in Dec’23. (Compare all in the same price and variant including grand vitara ) and real time delhi mileage is 11-12 and on highways 16 . And I don’t think even creta gives more than that.
@@himanshukatiyar1548 i also have v cvt... There is a certain way to drive this car...go from 30 to 80 slowly...let them overtake.... because once it touches 80... The engine just keeps at 80 with 1200 rpm.....but if u r boxed in punch the accelerator... It growls and just starts flying....it's a man's car .. I can overtake you but that doesn't mean I have to do it
I would rather spend my money on brand who are willing to give their 100%, instead of lacklustre brand like Honda who are just using their age old tech and unwilling to put any effort in India.
I think Honda should launch another variant with better infotainment system, ventilated seats, roller curtains etc. Just add feel good features. I feel bad for Honda as they are not able to generate sales. They have to be agressive like other players e.g. Tata, Kia, Tata and Mahindra.
Tyre pressure monitor system absent, 360 camera absent Voice command system is not available, ADAS System.... It's required for improvement.... But nice video... thank you....

I fully agree that Hyundai and Kia are better in many ways than Elevate. Therefore Honda should take immediate steps to rectify these anomalies, so that they can find more customers.
Finally Honda stopped pricing their car like Mercedes in India. They haven't updated the engine options since 2 decades. They don't deserve premium pricing anymore
Very Nice review and detailed info provided. It helps a buyer to decide. TPMS & 360 Camera would have been provided by Honda at this price range(Top Variants MT & CVT). They should seriously improve the plastic quality & design they provide for AC vents.
I got my zx R CVT just 3 days back .. I simply love it in the city condition.. I haven't felt any issues so far .. I can give 5 stars... Cosmetic add-ons may look good but comfort is what I really liked...❤

Most irritating thing I feel is fixed handrest. It is almost of no use just because it is fixed so much on the rear side and you cannot pull it forward.

Being an owner of Honda city 2016 and driven it over 1 L kms .. I will say though Honda never offers competitor tech inside car , but the engine and driving is just class apart … with Honda you cannot go wrong !
I agree that it is lacking a few common set of features. But then again, look at the price it is being offered at. At it's present price point, I feel its a steal(only the top variant though in my case). Moreover, most of the overly fancy features mostly remains unused. This car offers the exact practical features which one may need. And talking of the c-type, as long as they offer wireless charging, I'm good. I will happily going for ZX MT(I like manual and don't mind slipping a few kms).
Drove New Creta and Elevate back to back and trust me when I say this, Creta's cabin feels more premium and upmarket while Elevate doesn't. I mean, look at Elevate's AC vents, flimsy plastic. But I can still deal with it, the biggest let down for me was the NVH. Creta was so silent on 80kmph that one doesn't know if the car has touched that speed. Elevate's NVH was just so much that it could make you feel tired at longer stretches. We can get the damping done yes but who would want a new car to go through it.
Also Honda spares are not available in open market which is biggest drawback. Atleast when i owned a honda city back in 2008 i had to face this problem. Even in city like Ratnagiri in Maharashtra there wasn't a single showroom or honda service centre or touch points. Days are gone when one used to vouch for honda's quality and reliability, today almost all the car makers make reliable, fuel efficient and safe cars for indian consumers.Honda hasn't come out of their old mindset when they entered Indian market way back in 2000.Still they cant keep up on pricing or features front to compete in the market. Even after entering so late in the segment they have still to learn a lot from other car makers.
The city seems to have hit the Speed Breaker had , like all cities do, and the skid plate has come off and you decided to run it that way !! True City Life.
What honda is offering on Elevate is best in segment because if u check the price list this is the lowest price car so definitely they cut down the features like Panaromic sunroof, Ventilated seats, Big screen, etc. If u looks creta and Verna it's still feels like Shop of LED lights every where connected lights I personally not like it. If u see in global market they had Turbo charged 1.5 Ltr engines which produce 192 BHP 292 Torque more power than Creta, Kushaq, why they not introduce in India...the reason behind it Indians people still think about mileage...So what is honda is offering in this price points it's actually a value for money. Creta crossed 20 lacs so they have fancy features. After all every car has its uniqueness and good car
The Honda Elevate zx cvt is the best value for money product with ADAS among the competition. No other manufacturer is offering ADAS in this price range. About brakes.. Even though they haven't offered all disc brakes they are very effective. My previous car was S cross 1.3 with all four discs. Elevate brakes are more powerful.
@@parekhhardikb yes Hardik , the news came after i posted this comment. Inclusion of six airbags from base trim, headrest and 3 point seat belt for middle passanger is a great decision. I think it is going to increase the sale because only those who prefer safety are going for elevate and now they can opt for any varient.
Honda name has a retutation of being most reliable car manufacturer But if they fail to understand the liking of Indian customers who have moved ahead with world class technologies available with other brands Hyundai petrol engines are as good as of Honda IV tech engines even more refined in terms of noise and vibration Means there is hardly any difference to attract customers by telling that elevate has engine of city NoWay Not a noticeable superiority any more ,the days of Fiat and ambassador are gone now when Honda stood as car with premium tech engines , now almost all similar capacity petrol engines of different companies are as smooth and peppy as of city Again petty features are missing , front facia is not attractive though loos are subjective but not good looking at all just boarng design , Honda could have borrowed the looks from CRV could have been super hit with design as well
I test drove Elevate just yday. Even though shape wise it looks like a tin the door shutting sound impressed me. Checked the metal also. Looks much better than Maruti cars...if someone drives the car for real, they disagree that it is a light car for sure. Yes, this has very less features compared to Nexon and Kia cars which is disappointing even at 21 Lakhs on the road.
in a car Engine AC and seating, Safety and Durability are fundamental Requirements else every thing is austhetics ONLY if above 3 are Good go for it if you want all features Initial and maintanance cost will be higher

More important than features or infotainment is the build quality that Honda has been clearly compromising on. The premium feel of 1st and 2nd Gen City is long gone. At least the Elevate should have had a strong build.
Hi. Was helpful. Agree with you on suspension. But facing issue with fog formation during rains. Also Viper quality is so pathetic, that they worn out in less than 2 months, that too where car is not parked under sun.
I am driving Elevate ZX MT car for last 3 months, I agree under thigh support are not good , Disc breaks are missing and when you open bonnet it is shocking to see the sides are just fixed with screws with lot of empty space , seems that they just used Honda BRV or WRV. Bod y.
Good information but I think you missed on mentioning about cabin noise as very much said about it by other reviewers. We must not forget that, despite of having only one engine option, they are selling 5000 units per month. Except Creta and GV, other rival like Seltos having petrol-diesel engines and many variants is not selling very high nos. Also Kushaq, Taigun and Astor having more engine options are far behind than Elevate. This speaks about the trust on the brand like Honda. I believe that it is a very sensible car.

Absolutely...all true... One point of engine Noise...u have not mentioned...otherwise all u have covered is to the point. That is why if u remember I always insist that why don't u recommend gv zeta model....which has got all the features without sunroof.... Otherwise like in creta u get all necessary features along with sunroof...moreover gv has good mileage as well...I have also looked into each n every car ...n seems that if u want all basic n necessary features without sunroof ....then only gv zeta model is the one to go for..
Elevate build quality is strong based on city platform best in Na engine high rev engines no one can beat IVTEC engine...other brands price so much ...
Actual average in city is not more than 7-10 kmpl, still if they would introduce 1) 360° camera and improve infotainment system, 2) wireless andriod auto, 3) rear curtains, 4) Radar based ADAS, 5) resolve shaky experience on speed breakers, 6) improve steering plastic quality

Honda is a driving car. Or driving SUV. The honda buyer looks at driving experience and everything else should be in background. It should be a quality driving experience. Now tell me if this value is met and how do other cars fare on it.
I bought Taigun few months ago n I was trying to like elevate but unfortunately it was not exciting at all… I went for VW bcz of driving pleasure which is unmatched for me in this segment n I could find none for elevate…. I feel it is only for elders or the ones who are above 45…
I have cvt top end. Many pros i will lists my my only cons Mileage - 12 to 13 in city highway 16 Body roll , suspension very good , but you will be shaken a lot , if you like to dance then you would be ok AC - not great but decent I dont like the viper experience..water splash also not good. Some times i feel under powered , depends how u drive may be. But very good on safety terms and fun to drive . PS : i got the vehicle becaus of this bro video and i dont regret. Bro help me on mileage part is there a way i take it to 18kmpl on highway . Nothing like it otherwise ..am not done 10k kms yet ..am hopeufull after 10k servie it will improve
Will disagree with most of your views. I have booked top variant manual transmission and I find it great value for money with Honda assurance. Practically lots of feature you mentioned are not being used by most people on day to day basis. My options for buying was Seltos and Elevate 2024 and if I do an apple to apple comparison, Seltos is 1.5 lakhs costlier than Elevate which does not make sense to me. One thing I would have liked better in Elevate is definitely the interior. But apart from that no complains
I purchased this car , after i watched this video along with other sources if info largely on TH-cam. Its superb car am loving it . Got 16 kmpl i did , blr to goa drive . Clocked some 2k kms. no cabin noise at all on highways , as smooth as butter it flies.
Honda should have launched the same Hrv that they have in the Indonesian Market. They have the hybrid hrv to compete with grand vitara hyryder, HRV rs to compete with creta n line and taigun, kushag 1.5l but they wasted all their r&d in this years to develop elevate for the indian market
Honda is a great vehicle...but this elevate is a big let down...not matching in technology terms with its current competitors ... people HV wide range to choose from Kia, creta etc....their base & mid level variants are with exciting proposition.....if Honda has to beat this market, they HV to be innovative , creative & not lazy...just how the Renault duster stole the thunder out of blue wen they launched...Honda can easily do it ...they HV great assets & platform...they HV to be more futuristic & their cars should always be fun to drive with...
I have ZX CVT and agree with all pros and cons except fuel efficiency ,for me fortunately I have never seen single digit. One more thing to add in cons : Honda Connect app is trash, almost unusable. Hyundai bluelink is much more refined and easy to navigate plus offers more features. I have raised issue on twitter handle but Honda India isn't even acknowledging that.

I drove zx cvt from Chandigarh to Gurdaspur (240 kms) and i got milage of 20.3 kmpl. Avg speed was 85-90, AC ON, 2 passengers. Really happy with that.

And size so small as if its a formality to fill up space. I dont see glove box as a feature but a utility thing in car. The next missing thing i feel is TPMS. Again i dont see it as luxury but a bare minimum. I dont know why even basic things are not there in top variant. No sunglass holder. I dont mind but again could have easily been given for people who do use those. I bought this car because it wowed me by the visibility and the interior rustic wooden feel and finish. It has its own individuality in era of flashy gloss interiors with scores of buttons. But what it lacks, Thats not just lack of feature some are so basic aspects people dont even think to check in 2024 for a car.
Panaromic sun roof is a useless feature for Indian conditions. Wonder why it is actively promoted by various channels !!! It has become difficult to find a top end suv without a panaromic sunroof 😢

Once upon a time Verna had all four wheel disc brakes but later discontinued.I have Amaze 2015 ,earlier I owned Maruti Zen Lxi petrol and I drove it from 2002 to 2019 it had front disc only but Honda Amaze has superb brakes.
As a conclusion it can be inferred that automobile engineers know better than a user or reviewer what feature is necessary for safety. Honda Elevate is sturdy and crash test safety approved car.
I own base model and i believe that it offers a great value for money at that price bracket, so completely disagree on that point, rest it's a just few months old, let it's facelift be in market, also 360 camera and pana sunroof are only aesthetic things, no brand offers at this price level, also I don't know why people insist so much on cruise control, if you are lazy enough not to drive your vehicle just hire a driver, and regarding music system dear it's a car to travel not your bedroom with home theater, let things do better what they are supposed to be, a good music system without distraction is required just not to get drives boring, not meant to disco, Elevate is a great product however there are scopes of improvement everywhere, highly recommended

Creta is giving panoramic sunroof at 16 lakh on road price. Cruise control seems basic when your legs need some rest while driving for long distances. It's not only about enjoying, few features are meant to help and cruise control is one of them.

I own Honda Elevate ZX CVT. I'm super happy with the car. Yes, it NVH levels are 30%-40% more than seltos, creta etc. and engine noise is only when you are overtaking quickly else its butter smooth. I am trying to have rubber binding to doors to see if I can reduce the noise levels by 10-15%. Provided that the car is spacious and comfortable for long drives with family and most importantly you get safety + reliability + good after sales service which no other brand offers at this price range.
Having clocked 4500 kms. The ADAS worked completely fine. The drive is effortless and very comfortable with good suspension. Yes, there are cost cuttings and fitting issues + panel gaps in this car. I wish Honda could have fixed it.
What about the external noise/tyre sound from Elevate itself? Is it bearable?

I may not be right to comment it here but yes there is lot of traction going on this issue and we can get fix for this soon. But you can't reject this vehicle on this factor alone, since its very good car. I have driven it on highways and city.

I didn't get the same impressions with the door when I test drove the Elevate. It felt heavy and shut every time with a nice solid thud.

You have completely missed discusses ADAS. Taigun Kushal don’t have it. Creta Seltos don’t have at price of ZX CVT elevate. In my view at 16 lakh ex show room this is far more feature rich than others. You need to compare features at same price points.
If u want to see build quality , in Bangalore a big tree fall on Elevate but it was holding tree like a luggage ..

Like I said if honda offers a variant above zx with features to match hyundai cars like panoramic sunroof and other fancy features they can pull the few customers back to their showroom who want fancy features, doing this will improve their market share. This way you can still go for zx and be satisfied and others can look for even better option..customer is the king - the more variants and choice you offer the better.

Completely agree with your opinion bhai, Honda had a chance to dominate the market with Elevate but it seems they themselves were not excited about this product otherwise they should have made something exciting about this car. They did a good job in all important areas but there is a void in other areas.

Honda except for City they have always been offering Step motherly treatments to their other models.
That's precisely the reason why JAZZ, WR-V,..... were forced to discontinue.
Coming to Elevate. Why on earth they did not offer the same feature list as on City.
City offers the best & Comfortable Seats but it's not the same on Elevate.
Elevate Cabin Insulation also is poor. Engine Noise is too much when press the accelerator from Mid to high speed.
To be honest Honda India are forced to offer Elevate in a hurry. Maybe that's the reason why they forgotten to work on Cabin Insulation. City with same engine the cabin noise is well suppressed.
Honda's idea is to get buyer to enter showroom for Elevated & on comparison with CITY they offer you CITY as far Better option.
Incase if they they do not offer more or better than competition shortly. Their Elevate Sales will start declining for sure.

I took a test drive and also checked with the salesman who was very knowledgeable and his words about the compromise in some areas is because Honda doesn't treat this product at the same level as City and this is mid-size SUV so some premiumness will still be maintained in City... They have priced it and provided features to attract customers from its 4.3 m segment of cars

Under thigh support made me to choose creta SO IVT over ZX elevate CVT. Both r costing same 20 lakhs. I get adas in elevate for the same price, still under thigh support was a break deal point for me. Creta facelift has fixed this issue. Plus, back seat comfort is very poor, tat too worst for middle passenger.
It's a very practical car! Features mean increasing cost! Yes, some basic low-cost features like rear window curtains and type C ports would have been welcome!

I own VX model of Elevate. And Driving this car is absolutely pleasure. If compared to other Car in its segment with non turbo engine, the engine of Elevate is bullet proof and much more powerful. No problem in running it to the speed of 150 KMPH and intact asks for more at higher rpm. Another good thing is you don’t need to downshift the gear during the hill drive. And its handling is gold standard (not comparing with German cars which I consider to be best in the category). I agree on lack of features, but features are again depends upon person’s choice. While I prefer comfortable and power drive, other might like interiors to be aesthetic and techno driven.

Recenty i had visit honda showroom and they said software glitch has been resolved and last of April month we will provide to all customers.
I agree with one point that in VX variant they have included Sunroof but not Cruise control, This is so frustrating !!

Spot on review. Sold Amaze after 5.5 years and was hunting for a good SUV. I hated Honda cars ground clearance. Thigh support also not good. And worse, the V CVT model did not have cruise control.
Honda has always treated India as a 2nd or 3rd class market. It shows in their attitude.
I waited for the Elevate. Test drove it 4 times. Saw that the V variant did not have cruise control and rear wiper, under thigh support not good, engine noise, power lag - overtaking on hwy would be an issue. VX had a sun roof which we did not want. Except for rear wiper, rest of the missed were present even in VX.
Dumped the elevate and purchased Taigun 1.0 TC. Hyundai and Kia - those 2 shiny item numbers were rejected.
When I had purchased the Amaze, I had almost argued with the dealer for the absence of cruise control. And still after 5 years same attitude, philosophy. No improvement.
Honda certainly is placing the Indian market lower down than others like south east Asia, Europe, US etc.
Recently, one of the Honda dealers informed me that they can update the camera system in Honda City to 360 degrees camera on payment. Hope they can do the same in Honda Elevate also.
You should ask if the product is a genuine hona accessory or aftermarket. I've seen numerous vendors make this offer using third-party merchandise. Customers believe it's a real product and are willing to spend money on it. I would advocate purchasing a top model rather than adding aftermarket extras, or else purchasing what is possible and being satisfied without touching the fit and finish of the car.

At 15.5L V CVT was cheapest and best in segment in Dec’23. (Compare all in the same price and variant including grand vitara ) and real time delhi mileage is 11-12 and on highways 16 . And I don’t think even creta gives more than that.

The engine just keeps at 80 with 1200 rpm.....but if u r boxed in punch the accelerator... It growls and just starts flying....it's a man's car .. I can overtake you but that doesn't mean I have to do it
I would rather spend my money on brand who are willing to give their 100%, instead of lacklustre brand like Honda who are just using their age old tech and unwilling to put any effort in India.
I think Honda should launch another variant with better infotainment system, ventilated seats, roller curtains etc. Just add feel good features. I feel bad for Honda as they are not able to generate sales. They have to be agressive like other players e.g. Tata, Kia, Tata and Mahindra.

I got my zx R CVT just 3 days back .. I simply love it in the city condition.. I haven't felt any issues so far .. I can give 5 stars... Cosmetic add-ons may look good but comfort is what I really liked...❤

Being an owner of Honda city 2016 and driven it over 1 L kms .. I will say though Honda never offers competitor tech inside car , but the engine and driving is just class apart … with Honda you cannot go wrong !
I agree that it is lacking a few common set of features. But then again, look at the price it is being offered at. At it's present price point, I feel its a steal(only the top variant though in my case).
Moreover, most of the overly fancy features mostly remains unused. This car offers the exact practical features which one may need. And talking of the c-type, as long as they offer wireless charging, I'm good.
I will happily going for ZX MT(I like manual and don't mind slipping a few kms).
How is the back seat? Can 3 people sit comfortably as the center position of the seat is higher....thought center person may feel uncomfortable....

For back row comfort you should go with Creta, GV or hyryder...
Drove New Creta and Elevate back to back and trust me when I say this, Creta's cabin feels more premium and upmarket while Elevate doesn't. I mean, look at Elevate's AC vents, flimsy plastic. But I can still deal with it, the biggest let down for me was the NVH. Creta was so silent on 80kmph that one doesn't know if the car has touched that speed. Elevate's NVH was just so much that it could make you feel tired at longer stretches. We can get the damping done yes but who would want a new car to go through it.
Also Honda spares are not available in open market which is biggest drawback. Atleast when i owned a honda city back in 2008 i had to face this problem. Even in city like Ratnagiri in Maharashtra there wasn't a single showroom or honda service centre or touch points. Days are gone when one used to vouch for honda's quality and reliability, today almost all the car makers make reliable, fuel efficient and safe cars for indian consumers.Honda hasn't come out of their old mindset when they entered Indian market way back in 2000.Still they cant keep up on pricing or features front to compete in the market. Even after entering so late in the segment they have still to learn a lot from other car makers.

The Honda Elevate zx cvt is the best value for money product with ADAS among the competition. No other manufacturer is offering ADAS in this price range. About brakes.. Even though they haven't offered all disc brakes they are very effective. My previous car was S cross 1.3 with all four discs. Elevate brakes are more powerful.
Is no 3 point seatbelt for rear middle passenger a deal breaker if safety is topmost priority.
They just launched new Elevate with this safety feature. Not sure on effectiveness though as it was omitted in first design and then added

Not a noticeable superiority any more ,the days of Fiat and ambassador are gone now when Honda stood as car with premium tech engines , now almost all similar capacity petrol engines of different companies are as smooth and peppy as of city
Again petty features are missing , front facia is not attractive though loos are subjective but not good looking at all just boarng design , Honda could have borrowed the looks from CRV could have been super hit with design as well

I test drove Elevate just yday. Even though shape wise it looks like a tin the door shutting sound impressed me. Checked the metal also. Looks much better than Maruti cars...if someone drives the car for real, they disagree that it is a light car for sure. Yes, this has very less features compared to Nexon and Kia cars which is disappointing even at 21 Lakhs on the road.
in a car Engine AC and seating, Safety and Durability are fundamental Requirements else every thing is austhetics ONLY if above 3 are Good go for it if you want all features Initial and maintanance cost will be higher

Good information but I think you missed on mentioning about cabin noise as very much said about it by other reviewers.
We must not forget that, despite of having only one engine option, they are selling 5000 units per month. Except Creta and GV, other rival like Seltos having petrol-diesel engines and many variants is not selling very high nos. Also Kushaq, Taigun and Astor having more engine options are far behind than Elevate.
This speaks about the trust on the brand like Honda.
I believe that it is a very sensible car.

Body roll , suspension very good , but you will be shaken a lot , if you like to dance then you would be ok

Will disagree with most of your views. I have booked top variant manual transmission and I find it great value for money with Honda assurance. Practically lots of feature you mentioned are not being used by most people on day to day basis. My options for buying was Seltos and Elevate 2024 and if I do an apple to apple comparison, Seltos is 1.5 lakhs costlier than Elevate which does not make sense to me. One thing I would have liked better in Elevate is definitely the interior. But apart from that no complains

I purchased this car , after i watched this video along with other sources if info largely on TH-cam.
Its superb car am loving it . Got 16 kmpl i did , blr to goa drive . Clocked some 2k kms. no cabin noise at all on highways , as smooth as butter it flies.
Honda should have launched the same Hrv that they have in the Indonesian Market. They have the hybrid hrv to compete with grand vitara hyryder, HRV rs to compete with creta n line and taigun, kushag 1.5l but they wasted all their r&d in this years to develop elevate for the indian market
Honda India's cars are like like Datsun cars for Nissan. Reliable and efficient but not pampering in any way.

Honda is a great vehicle...but this elevate is a big let down...not matching in technology terms with its current competitors ... people HV wide range to choose from Kia, creta etc....their base & mid level variants are with exciting proposition.....if Honda has to beat this market, they HV to be innovative , creative & not lazy...just how the Renault duster stole the thunder out of blue wen they launched...Honda can easily do it ...they HV great assets & platform...they HV to be more futuristic & their cars should always be fun to drive with...

I have ZX CVT and agree with all pros and cons except fuel efficiency ,for me fortunately I have never seen single digit.
One more thing to add in cons : Honda Connect app is trash, almost unusable. Hyundai bluelink is much more refined and easy to navigate plus offers more features. I have raised issue on twitter handle but Honda India isn't even acknowledging that.
