Honestly I like that much better than just all black. I have a 5.11 bag that’s all black but that black and “midnight” red looks much nicer. Great work buddy
This was extremely helpful. Thanks. However, I must say I kept imaging Jason yelling at you about poor decisions as you worked your way through your prepping process with the gloves, the bricks, etc lol. New subscriber.
Not too bad. Definitely better than the bright red. I really don't like the red being so bright. I was hoping we'd get other colors for the Black Friday sale . I am going blue if I get the 3.0. Currently deciding between GR1 and Rucker 3.0
Curious to know what effect the dye process had on your cooler? I was thinking to use my old cooler to do this. I’d prefer to not ruin it, but it’s also the best container I have for this
One more question for you. Did you use the Rit all purpose dye or did you use the newer Rit dye that they came out specifically for synthetic materials?
@@clicco11 I used regular because that’s all the store had and I was too impatient to wait for the synthetic to be shipped. Would use the synthetic if I did it again. I think that would interact with the molle better.

Good content. I kinda like the color you ended up with. You got a subscriber here, keep it up!
Thanks!
This "midnight" red is rad! Looks awesome!! Better trademark it!!
Thanks.
Rit also has a synthetic dye that might’ve work as well for the red all in all awesome job 🤙🏽
Yeah, should have used that.

Glad it was helpful. Poor decisions are my specialty.
looks cool, better than the original. nice job!
Agreed. Thanks.
No! Don't do it in a plastic cooler. Get a Turkey Fryer Pot and heat it with Vinegar and Rock Salt!!!
How did the reflective strip end up?
All good. No impact. Forgot to put that in there. Thanks for asking.

Is this dye rain proof? Does it bleed on your clothes when carried in rain?
Yes, rainproof. No bleeding once throughly rinsed.

No issues. Rinsed right out.
Great, thanks!

@@Rucking thanks!
How do you remove the foam block that’s it the back panel?
I just received my Rucker 25L , but that block is taking up storage room in the bag.
I don't believe there was a foam block in mine. Not really sure what to recommend. You may need to reach out to GORUCK.
I believe the block you're referring to is in the plate carrier pocket inside the ruck? Those were not removable until the 4.0 model.
Goruck has a 1000d but is curious water can easily get inside?
Eventually, with enough water, yes.
Looking to do this with my black/blue Rucker. Do you still have this bag? How has the color held up?
Color held up well. Be sure to share some pics when you do the blue. Will be interested to see how it takes.
Hi did you end up dying your black/blue Rucker?
you need 17 minutes to explain this? dye...
