@@fishingcolorado Local TH-camr, Seven, from "Fishing 24/7" turned me onto their "slinky weights". Basically segmented weights that are damn near snag proof. A pretty penny, but worth it for this bait fisherman. Check them out if you can! 👍

And I mean I would try for anyone! One of my best sponsors was a Paul Mitchell hair salon in Capital Hill that would not only give me hair products at a super deal, they would give me cash that would pay for my motel rooms when I went out of town for skateboard contests. I'd like to see you get a sponsor or three! 😃👍

There is nowhere “close” to Colorado Springs. I live in the springs and fish for kokanee all year long. It is a drive no matter what. Closest place is 11 mile, but the run is very minimal this year due to no stocking in 2021. Most weekends I will drive 2.5-3 hours to get to a good reservoir with a strong salmon population. If you don’t have a boat and have to fish for them while they are spawning, then the blue river, gunnison river, and Colorado river at the base of the shadow mountain dam will be your best bets.
