Stryper is amazing, they are one of the few bands who's modern quality has eclipsed their 80s offerings.

I mean ALOTT OF TIME,.I know EVERY LYRIC~
I've been to many christian metal festivals in Sweden and Norway. We have had bands play at night and ppl preaching/teaching the Bible during the day. Totally Awesome in so many ways! Bless you! (Sidenote, not sidenote, Jesus is better than the best music! There is no high like the Most High! ;) )
That last note WAS pretty awesome. Glad to see so many enjoying Stryper in 2023. They've been incredible for nearly 40 years.

I think "Reach Out" is a very catchy tune off the Soldiers Under Command album...one of my favorites from them.

Stryper? talk about flashback. I saw them back in 85 at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA. Calvary Chapel used to have a Christian Fest there for three days out of the year. All Christian Bands. Stryper would throw bibles into the audience. I also saw the Altar Boys and Undercover perform there. This video brought back memories. Thank you.
You absolutely must review YAHWEH by Stryper. Their best song out of a multitude of amazing songs.

People forget that was Sister Roseta, a gospel performer, that created the “Rock” genre. Michael Sweet, from Stryper, and Traci Guns, from LA Guns released some great songs on a project named Sunbomb. It has a rough metal feel and Michael Sweet still hits the high notes. Check on them. Special thanks, keep on rocking!
two great songs on that album: "Free" and the title track "To Hell with the Devil". Going back further Surrender and Soldiers On Command. If she loves great soft ballad types: "Honesty", and "I Believe In You"
I loved this group back in the 80s. The drummer Robert Sweet (singer's brother) was one of the main inspirations that made me want to play drums.

Funny thing is they started playing in their church before really hitting the club scene. Anther great song of this album is "More Than A Man" You did a reaction to Soldiers Under Command, try "Waiting For A Love" off the same album.
My favorite Christian hard rock band is Guardian. They were more blues based hard rock like Aerosmith and Great White. Check out their songs Power Of Love and Never Say Goodbye

I actually performed " More Than A Man " by Stryper in my church!! I'm sure some hated it but I had several people ( even older folks) come up to me to tell me how much they enjoyed it. I just felt I needed to do it.

I was the drummer in a local Christian metal band trio called Vessel in Yorktown VA back in the late '80's and we were the youth band and we DID play this song in church! We also played as the house band on Friday and Saturday, and then I'd take my cymbals and kick pedals home and bring them back to church Sunday for Praise & Worship! My wife and I are the worship leaders now and I still play and sing from the same Roland electronic drum kit (minus the heavy metal chains LOL that held my Zildjian cymbals...)

Michael Sweet of STRYPER filled in and sang in Boston. STRYPER covered the Boston song Peace Of Mind.
Former STRYPER bassist Tracy Ferrie plays bass in Boston. He's also on the pastoral staff at his church. He and Michael Sweet go to or used to go to the same church up in the Boston area. Their pastor wrote or co-wrote one or two songs on their Reborn album.

This song was from ‘85, I believe. Listen to Transgressor from their 2022 album. Of course Michael Sweets voice has aged, but no where near what other singers do in 40 yrs and he can still hold those high notes! Great band and message! ✝️🙏🏼🤘🏼

To Hell with the Devil was a fantastic album, despite being Christian Rock. I had it on cassette tape when I was a kid. I listened to it so much it warped, and I had to buy a second copy. I only needed one CD of it, though.

You should react to Strypers "in god we trust" Michael is on fire in that song, staying in the upper ranges all the way, and the guitar work is top notch. Only bad thing about it is that it is to short.
