    Loved Stryper since mid 80s ! always been one of my fav bands. The drummer (Robert Sweet - Michael's brother) is one of the primary inspirations to me of why I wanted to learn to play drums. Him, Tommy Lee and Lars Ulrich were my inspirations.

    Can't go wrong with Michael Sweet on vocals. His range is wild. And of course his older brother Robert on drums? Yeah, there is gonna be some hard shit, despite Christian metal. 🤘🤘🤘🤘

    "No More Hell to Pay" is one of the best rock albums to ever have been released in decades and "Marching Into Battle" is a shining example of why that is the case. 12 strong tracks, particularly "Legacy" and the beautiful, soaring "The One". Michael Sweet shreds on guitar and holds his own along side Oz Fox. His vocals also remind me of a metal version of Dennis DeYoung from Styx. Great music.

    @robertg7396 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    I could be wrong here but, this sounds like a much heavier Stryper than I recall back in the day? In the 80's/90's, Stryper was what I would describe as a more "Pop" type of metal. Then again, it was the hair band era, so I'm sure that had something to do with it?, lol. I had no idea they were still around tho. I'll have to take a deeper dive now! Thanks Mr. T. 🤘😃

      Actually Stryper started out Hard Rock (leaning into metal slightly) with their first 2 albums. They went glam with In God We Trust because it was popular and that’s where the money and exposure was at the time. (And it worked because it got them noticed)

    I just recently went on a Stryper binge of newer music and absolutely love the more recent stuff. Some of my favorites being Transgressor, Divider, Sorry, Pride, The Valley, Renewed, and pretty much the entire Fallen album (Yahweh, King of Kings Fallen, etc). Transgressor was one of the first ones I listened to & almost made me fall out of my chair. Lol. Love Stryper for both the music and the messages, plus the character of the band members. Ot doesn't surprise me at all that the band reached out to you after a reaction to one of their videos. It's just who they are. Just this week, I watched interviews with each member which were on a channel I believe was called Wasting Time with Jason Green. He's a long-time friend of Robert Sweet's and every interview was fantastic. Super humble, "1,000% for Jesus" men.

    i met michael sweet back in the 90's. almost got to go back stage as a security guard. but i was told i was not needed so i was pretty disappointed. but i got to shake his hand at least. He was a lot taller in person than i expected. this was after he left stryper and started a solo band. the power went out in shadle park high school in spokane washington and the guys from the band came out as an in-promptu meet and greet. they were short on security so i got to stand about 4 feet from him right in front of the stage. i was a little off to the left. it was a fun ass night. i'll never forget it. it was awesome. theres a lot more to the story but i wont bore everyone with it.

Stryper is my second fave band (KISS is 1) and I am als0 a WATAIN Disciple the most Satanic band you can find. I love Morbid Angel...so at the end of the day it comes down to music. Now you...EVERYONE should check out the band BURNING WITCHES who I am trying to get an open slot on the Fall USA tour. Burning Witches i was born around 2014 and no band can touch them...Think 5 gorgroud leather-clad women playing the best Power Metal you ever heard. The most recent album the covered SAVATAGE Hall of the Mountain King and it's better than Savatage. Alot of metal fans honestly...are COWARDS and followers...when metal is not supposed to be that...I am leather clad transgurl and I have been metal since age 3. Bands like STRYPER, BURNING WITCHES, NERVOSA are what metal is about. STRYPER has more balls than any band ALIVE. TO all the hatters I dedicate STRYPER "The Rock That Makes Me Roll" and "Yahweh" One from 1985 and 2016 and tell me they are not the best going...oh yeah check out "MIDDLE FINGER MESSOAH"

    I have this album and this is basically the only song on it that is just not good, very plodding and not the
    usual melodic stuff that gets you up and singing, and I include their heavy stuff in that too.
    There are several really great songs on this album, Legacy, No More Hell to Pay, Jesus is Just Alright,
    Saved By Love, etc. I don't see how an actual fan could pick this one out of the entire album.

      I’ll be checking out the other songs on the album to make the comparison. But I liked it. I thought it was great.

      That's cool, I know everyone has different tastes, for me this one song stood out just
      because of the lack of the usual melodic "catchiness" the other ones had.

    T, your wife reacted to YAHWEH, which was my request, but you both reacted to my request for The Way, the month before. Did you ever listen to YAHWEH?

    Hey dude, love your videos!
    Any chance you could react to Stryper's Together Forever from their album Soldiers Under Command (1985) and Renewed from No More Hell To Pay in one video? (kinda like what you did with The Valley and To Hell With The Devil)
