The bass player is not an original, it was timothy gaines. Michael sweet lead vocals and guitar, robert sweet on drums, yes they are brothers. Oz fox on lead guitar, Perry richardson on bass guitar.
Robert (Drummer) is already north of 60, and Michael is 59 - and they are still KILLING it! Just as good or even better than the 80's! For some other great newer songs, check out "The Valley", "Blood From Above", or "Marching Into Battle"
I'm quickly approaching age 57 this May. I've played drums since 1980 and Do Not have the energy or ability to move my body behind the drums like Robert still can! Even having 11 surgeries to repair and replace torn, broken, worn out, 3 knee surgeries and a knee replacement, c5 vertebrae disc replacement and a stenosis cleanout, 2 shattered toe joint repair in right foot, 2 hernias, 3 shoulder repairs and so on. I'm surprised I can still hold sticks and play with small fiber neuropathy in both hands and feet, lol.
"I'm the son of the father, and that's what they support." Literally laughed out loud to that. 😆 Michael Sweet's 80's metal screams always reminded me of Rob Halford. This was an excellent react, loved it!
My cousin Michael and I saw stryper live in concert at Goldfield in early June here in Roseville California near Sacramento and they kicked ass. The band members are in their 60s now. They said they will be back next year for their 40th anniversary tour. We can't wait. Rock on 🙏
Stryper has always been EXCELLENT! Now if Radio Stations would start playing their music and stop discriminating against them because of their Faith Stryper Will be on top of the charts again and Always.
Theyre back and they brought alot of touches to this track though, its a mixture of punkrock, new metal and hard rock all together . Rock and Roll is back baby
Singer, guitarist Michael Sweet is 60, guitarist Oz Fox is 62, drummer Robert Sweet is 63, bassist Perry Richardson (Firehouse - not original Stryper bassist) is 60.
The guys said in an interview that they were very briefly forced by record label or something to change their colors from yellow/black to black & varied colors per band member. Obviously that didn't last long. Lol.
It does not take much to turn on the news today and realize we are in the last days. Don't take it light like it's a game. Get your life right with God before its too late. It's no joke. I'm glad Stryper has not sold out on their lyrics and message. Make Jesus the personal saviour of your life today..
Liliac has just released a NEW OMV! "Somber Cry"..and you two ain't even ready for this one...Sam is the lead singer! Melody is the BACK-UP singer!...React IF you dare...you have be warned..
They sound heavier now because they've tuned down just a bit so Michael Sweet can still hit his notes singing....so the guitars and bass have a lower tone and sound a bit more ominous....they sound as good as ever....I actually like them better now.......BTW, your guys's little harmony scream was killer....

Perry came on board around 2016 I think. He was the bass player in Firehouse back in the day.

Excellent!
I am sorry to tell you they are not the original lineup. The base player comes from the band firehouse original bass player is Tim Gaines.
Singer, guitarist Michael Sweet is 60, guitarist Oz Fox is 62, drummer Robert Sweet is 63, bassist Perry Richardson (Firehouse - not original Stryper bassist) is 60.
Guitar riffs similar to Iron Maiden's "Back In The Village"
I believe you are off on there ages. I was in my mid teens when I was listening to them. I am 58 now so that would put them in their 60's
Not all original members. Tim Gaines is no longer in the band. The bassist is from Firehouse

Michael Sweet lead singer and Robert Sweet is on Drums. Tim Gaines left the band
Tim was kicked out.

Interesting 🤔
Please, listen to No more Hell to pay. It's another amazing song.❤
You mean since mid 1980s they have rocked
Check out one of their new tune called "End of Days"....
@@andrewwells755 Sounds good
The opening scream is 15 seconds long. Hardly any band from that Era can sing like Mike, not anymore period....
Give Vengeance Rising - Burn a listen. It’s on their first album Human Sacrifice.
Love some Vengeance

It’s not all the original members. Tim Gaines is no longer their bassist.
They are harder
Fire isn't an adjective.
Guy, you're confused. Stryper is heavier than ever
