Saw them a few years back in Seattle and I could hear Michael OVER THE MONITORS !! He has such an amazing voice - they were tight and sounded incredible !! 60 yrs old and still hitting his high notes of yesteryear .... unbelievable \\m// !!!

I found the Lord and got saved because of Stryper and Petra back in the 80s. Still have my cassettes and t shirts. People have to understand back in the day how hard it was for Christian bands to break through in rock and roll.. Petra was first Christian pioneer rock band that led the path for Stryper and others . Satan hates Stryper 😁 you should try out some classic Petra with Steve Voltz also if you want some good Christian rock and you want to go to church. Because that's what these bands are all about . God ❤

I once read a Rolling Stone magazine review, about this band, saying that Micheal Sweet is a "zesty belter" and guitarist Oz Fox mustees a mean Eddie Van Halen imitation. He than went on to say that they are limited by their genre, Christian Metal, and all of their albums sound interchangeable. Whatever that means. It seems to me, as a fan, that the further they have progressed in their career the heavier their music has been.
Some of my buddies say that without the Christianity innuendos they would’ve been a bigger band which I get somewhat. Cause that’s what made certain people dislike them. People threw bibles at them on stage back in the day which Stryper provided the Bible’s to the crowd. Personally, I don’t give a shit about their religious beliefs, believe what you want to believe lol good music is good music at the end of the day.
