Great spot for camping Doug! I haven’t sat in front of a camp fire in so long, gotta do that soon. That breakfast sounded delicious, nothing like eating bacon while camping, it just hits different.
Absolutely is Tim! It’s the best form of relaxing while still putting it the work. You’re right the food does just taste a whole lot better. Appreciate you watching Brother!! 👊🏻👍🏻
You’re right it’s been a great long Summer for us and this September trip had July weather. I always love when the Big Dipper decides to star in my time lapse. Appreciate you watching Brother! 👊🏻👍🏻
One thing I’ve always loved about Canada is the willingness Doug, we’re both lucky to live in some great country’s that still have crown land to utilise, Unlike most countries you have to pay or get permission from the government or land owners, how lucky are we lol, great video brother thanks for sharing it, 👍👍
You’re so right Jim! We are very lucky to have the use of Crown Land and it makes for great adventure and it’s free to use. Thanks so much for watching Brother!! 👊🏻👍🏻
I love english muffins. At least you caught one. That fish looks tasty as all get out. Can't beat MRE chili beans. I bet you can cook, Doug. Take care brother!!
Thanks Janson! It was a fun adventure getting into the backcountry enjoying some good company, good food and some peace and serenity. Appreciate you watching Brother! 👊🏻👍🏻
Awesome video Doug👍 I love that you got the Big Dipper front and centre! Paddling into the drone shot turned out perfect! And yes I'll take you up on the cooking for me😆 Good one brother🍻
Wow what a great trip you guys had. Too bad about Marc losing his drone though. You sure get lots of great drone footage. Marc sure makes a great looking breakfast and the fish looked delicious. Glad you had great weather and a good time. Have a great week both of you.
It was a great trip Wade and unfortunately Marc had a mishap but he didn’t let it ruin his adventure. I want this trip to include lots of drone footage so we could all see a unique perspective of the trip. We had lots of fun. Thanks so much for watching Brother!! Have a great week! 👊🏻👍🏻
Hi Doug.. You definitely have great wilderness to go Fishing 🎣 and Camping., That’s as great as Gold Prospecting.. or maybe 🤔 you might find some areas to prospect..!!! Cheers Tony 👍🍻⛏️
Hey Brother Doug ☺️ fantastic camping trip. Definitely a warm fall this year, even here. Mark did a great job repurposing the fallen tree and you can't beat delicious food while camping. Always relaxing and enjoy watching your adventures my friend 🤠🌲☕
Happy Thanksgiving weekend Doug. Way to enjoy the mid September weather in this one, man we were so lucky, and still rocking it. Always nice to see you hook into one. Cool adventure on crown land! Looked like a gem of a campsite.
Happy Thanksgiving Mattias! It’s crazy what a beautiful Summer and Fall we have been having. At least I caught one 😂. We had a great time on a great Crown Land campsite. Thanks so much for watching Brother!! 👊🏻👍🏻🍻
That fallen tree had a silver lining: firewood and a base for the new table. Great outdoor times! Nice looking meals and drone footage too. The opening music is a favorite (Bach's cello suite no.1...they use this music in "Master and Commander far side of the world " to fantastic effect). There should be a "find my drone" feature to show on the map where the drone went (if it's a DJI). Just one question, Doug...what's in the red cooler????????
There was definitely a silver lining Craig to that tree falling. Marc and I were also privy to a tree falling in the forest…and we heard it fall lol. I love that Bach piece too! There was a find my drone feature on his DJI Spark and it showed it’s last known location to be in the water although we had lost transmission signal with the drone during the fly away so who really knows. The red cooler is like the tardis on Dr. Who 😉. Thanks for watching Brother!! 👊🏻👍🏻
A bit of a mixed bag there Doug. A nice enough start on the lake only to find a spot of work to do in camp. The deadfall worked out alright though what with the makeshift kitchen and the food that came out of it. That was neat. Not so neat to lose the drone after a decent old time - assigned to history. Well, you shared chores, fished and chilled. Almost perfect. All the best. Mark
Let me be the first to welcome Mark to the Fly Away Drone Club. My drone flew away 8 yrs ago. A moment of silence for the lost drone......................The moment has passed.
The Fly Away Drone Club to which I’m a member even though I was fortunate it came back. I felt bad for Marc but he did everything he could to bring it back but no luck. Thanks so much for watching Brother!! 👊🏻👍🏻
This was a very cool adventure and you have a new subscriber. You guys are great, almost as great as Quebecers.... LOL Sorry, it was an easy one :) Seriously, you two make an awesome team together and it was fun to watch.
@@PinetreeLine If anyone is reading this and wondering what's this thing between QC and ON, it's very simple. QC stands for Quebec, and ON for Ontario. Both are provinces next to each other in Canada. The main difference is that ON is mostly English, wereas QC is mostly Francophone. Some dudes, and polticians, with a low IQ (if any at all), are bitching against each others (from both sides). However, the truth is that we're pretty much the same. I can even assure you that mosquitoes and black flies makes absolutely no difference between folks from QC or ON! In fact, North America exists mostly because of our ancestors (QC and ON) who covered the whole continent way before anyone else (except the natives of course!). People from both provinces, going out regularly, have pretty much the same experience and knowledge about the outdoors. I can also tell you that I'd have zero problem going out in the woods with Doug and Marc. Based on their videos, I know they are for real and nice people. There's just one thing do. Did you know that, in the early days, Ontario was Quebec? LOL Very true, it was part of Quebec. Then one day both "teams" decided to peacefully split the land. And QC had the upper hand: Toronto... Highway 401 downtown...19 lanes total... and the BIGGEST traffic jam in the world! And let's not forget the Downvalely Parkingway. Other than that ON... QC... who cares? Let's enjoy the outdoors!
I drink lake water from Lake Wanapitei and Emerald lake, lakes that are clear and sounded buy forests. I've been doing it all my life. Do you drink lake water ?
I wonder...Can you please take a sample of the lake water and your tap water and have them tested. If asked where the samples are from simply say a new well as our well water at the Toppizzini camp was tester for free every year or so back in the day. Id be interested in the findings. Just a thought neighbor brother from Laurin street Azilda.
Paul I drink lake water on every outing but I drink it through a LifeStraw water bottle which has a filter. The only time I will drink it straight out of the water is in the Winter while ice fishing. I just won’t take the chance on ingesting a waterborne virus especially being while being out in the backcountry. That’s just my opinion. Thanks for watching Brother!! 👊🏻👍🏻
Well Randy unless EVERYONE living here has been lied to for the last 54 years of my life, at least, we are definitely living in Northern Ontario. Thanks for watching Friend!! 👊🏻👍🏻
Thank you for taking us along, Doug and Marc. Looks like you had a good time. Stay safe and stay warm
Thanks so much for coming along Sean! Appreciate it Brother! 👊🏻👍🏻
