I guess im asking randomly but does someone know of a way to get back into an instagram account? I was dumb forgot my password. I would appreciate any help you can give me!
I prefer using Hasegawa or Dragon sprue when I make mine - it seems for me at least when using new white plastic it takes longer to dry also I have made it with Testors Liquid Cement and it worked just fine * Clear sprue can also be used to create things like landing lights , small windows etc it works much better when doing round shapes as opposed to right angles.
Doesn’t the goo melt the plastic brush? An old, used brush with real hair bristles works better too brusk & spread goo onto & around. Brush cleans up nicely as well
Thank you for the informative video. I wasn't happy with applying it with a brush, so I tried using a dental tool that is shaped like a paint pallet knife. it's about 2mm wide by 10mm long with around tip. It worked out really good for me, and it is far easier to clean up. I was wondering if you ever tried anything like that?
Depending on how thin the supports are if you steep the mini in relatively warm water, not boiling, then the supports will soften first and make it easier to pull them away.
This was fine years, many years ago, when we had nothing else. Now there are putties available in an infinite number of formats, some do not even need to be sanded. Today this solution seems archaic to me. With all due respect.
@@binal-flecki2387 In all the years that I have been using them, about 30, it still hasn't happened to me. But I do not rule it out, if it happens I will fix it with more putty.
Good stuff, Nigel! Sprue-Goo is a great tool to be sure. Adding plastic to plastic makes for much more consistent sanding, scribing, etc.
Great video!

@Frederick Jamal Instablaster :)
Nice instruction Nigel, I am going to try and make some!
Nice. I remember seeing people asking what they can do with sprues and never considered sprue goo can help you make an actual fix to scribing mistakes

Thanks for the sprue glue instructions.
been using this stuff for a long time now i use MEK to mix with the plastic
John Pol yeah, that’ll work!! I have a feeling the newer quick setting TET would work as well as it seems very similar to MEK?
Hi Nige
Terrific How To video. Thanks for the credit ..
Keep 'em comin
Peter
I never used this but I have used Tamiya Extra Thin Cement to melt small pieces of styrene so I can see how this will work well. I'll make some soon.
I think I was using mine too thin. gonna try the thicker mix for sure, thanks.

No.. I shall give it a go. Thanks.
Hi Nigel can you recommend a video for us beginners on how to remove 3d printed parts fro the supports without damaging the part iteself. thanks
Sorry I cant. a hot blade would be a good idea?

I used lacquer thinner. It also worked fine.
Thanks for the tutorial! We'll make some and use it in future builds!
Great!
Will this work with any modeling cement, or specifically the extra thin?
Extra thin is just right. You could try it with Mr Cement S?
Neat. I'm gonna try this with GW sprues.
Great video!!! Thanks for the tip.
Is it common that it dries in long thin strings? like a hotglue guns glue.
If it is stringing its slightly too thick.
@@NigelsModellingBench Thanks, now off to thin it
You need to aim for it to just not string, so add glue until this happens. if you go too far and it's like soup, add more styrene..
@@NigelsModellingBench Will do sir :3
nice video friend...keep it up
Good vid
I just need my Tamiya extra thin to use up now 😂
That shouldnt take too ong in these times??
Very true. Only problem is I got a new one from my kind modelling shop just as lockdown happened
@@2702simmo please dont tell me you threw the old bottle away? One should NEVER throw away a used extra thin bottle!! it's law!!
I did but never again :)
