About this game:
Enter the Gungeon is a bullet hell dungeon crawler following a band of misfits seeking to shoot, loot, dodge roll and table-flip their way to personal absolution by reaching the legendary Gungeon’s ultimate treasure: the gun that can kill the past. Select a hero [or team up in co-op] and battle your way to the bottom of the Gungeon by surviving a challenging and evolving series of floors filled with the dangerously adorable Gundead and fearsome Gungeon bosses armed to the teeth. Gather precious loot, discover hidden secrets, and chat with opportunistic merchants and shopkeepers to purchase powerful items to gain an edge.

Egg's extensive knowledge of post 2000 film and music will forever baffle me
I'm convinced that studying this brain will lead to the next major breakthrough in AI technology.
Now you see why it’s impossible for him to learn from his mistakes in games, the egg noggin is just full of too much trivia to take in anything else

I don't think he appreciates how much the black hole gun saved his butt in phase 1 and how effective it would have continued to be. Otherwise, I love seeing him finally try to break the game
Doesn't matter that he's experimenting. He'll still use the Heroine and the Megahand exclusively past this phase whenever he gets them.
@@i_am_ergo I don't blame him, these are some of the best room clearing guns in the game, grab some bullet upgrades and they're useful even in bullet hell

@@MatheusFelipe-hi8sk Because they're extremely boring, monotone weapons. Besides, although they're ammo efficient, their TTK is pretty low when we're talking about whole rooms. Switching between different weapons on the fly and circling rooms is both faster and more fun to watch. But this is NL and his lowest effort possible mindset. There are reasons to be negative here.
Some thoughts (spoilers ahead):

> Every time NL has the Charm Horn, he makes the same mistake. You need to make sure you're right in the shopkeeper's face when you charm him. Previously NL's figured this out for himself, but at least he looks it up!
> And regarding stealing, 10 curse means you can steal 10 times before summoning LJ. If you steal once per floor, that's about 5 curse while saving potentially hundreds of credits. That is absolutely worth it!
> And further regarding stealing, you can steal the Gnawed Key from the chamber 2 shop! Charm Horn, Aged Bell, both work, but for some reason the Grappling Hook doesn't work to steal the Gnawed Key.
> And even *further* regarding stealing, every time you steal there is a % chance you will be caught. If you are caught, the shopkeeper closes shop for the remainder of the floor (and the main shopkeeper Bello closes all future shops for the run). Each shop has an independent % chance of catching you, and each shop resets every floor (with the exception being Bello, he always remembers). When using Charm Horn, the initial % chance of being caught is 0% per shop, but it goes up every time you successfully steal (again, each shop has an independent %).

Springheel Boots (if you remember you have it) means more i-frames whenever you do a double dodge roll. And the Gas Mask makes you immune to the poison from the Rat's first phase. Buy, buy, buy! You have the money, spend it! And you have the ability to steal anything that's super expensive from shops. BUY! SPEND! OBEY!
> Winchester's Game pays out with a D, C, B, and A tier chests on chambers 1 and 2, and his game pays out with C, B, A, and S tier chests on chambers 3 and beyond. Dependent of course, on how many targets you manage to hit.

> Charm Horn's pretty good for getting enemies off your butt for awhile, but it can make their shots somewhat unpredictable. If the enemies are shooting at each other, you may dodge into surprise bullets. Still really good against some enemies, like jammed enemies!
> "You can't make that dodge. At least we saw it in slow-mo." Actually, time slow down, better dodgerolls, and faster movement speed can all independently make some attacks MORE difficult to dodge. You absolutely can dodge between safe-zone circles, but not when they're almost stationary in the air!
> Most of the Rat Punchout attacks are blockable (W) or duckable (S). There is no attack (I believe) that can only be avoided by side stepping, so just learn which are W and which are S. (Note that some attacks can only be avoided by punching the Rat at the right moment to break his posture!)
> Use a blank on the Rat's treasure chest room. Secrets!
> "Lich is on the table." Doubt.
> Regarding the Rat's Sack, don't change how you dodge in order to suck up bullets. Just dodge normally and it will eventually fill up. If you purposefully try and dodge into bullets, you'll just end up hurting yourself.

> Compressed Air Tank is really the MVP of this run. One of the best boss killing guns in the game, it has enough ammo and damage to kill several bosses in a row without needing an ammo refill.

I have a feeling he doesn't really care about the game enough to learn that much about it. Which is fine really, if he just wants to play it every once in a while for something new, that's cool too. I could be wrong, but I just have a feeling. Anyhow, at least know that someone found your tips useful! These were fun to read and I hope you leave more of them, if not for NL, then for other people!

NL's a god for about ten percent of the time. This is that ten percent shining through. The other ninety percent is worth watching to witness the journey toward a truly polished egg.
Looked stuff up, tried new guns and items, beat the rat, is enjoying the game.

I really wish NL would go to the Lich if he beats the rat. The Dragun poses no threat to him. And he does have to learn the Lich too.
I doubt he's ever going to reliably do the Lich. If beating the Rat doesn't make him "strong enough" to do it nothing will.
@@Hawkster52 He said in the video that he was strong enough to fight the Lich, he just didn't want to on this run since he had already done one unfamiliar optional boss.
Also, he didn't notice (and probably doesn't even know that it's a thing), but he could have fought the Advanced Dragun via the Weird Egg in the shop at 40:16.

Egg, here's a tip for the rat fight. You only need to block or duck (up or down).

that's the gugeon flow taking control , even after hundreds of hours in the game i sometimes amaze myself with my dodges , it's why this game feels so good to play .
He did it to himself with poor choice of directions and lack of peripheral awareness. Didn't have to be hard at all.

If the vampire lady is available and a full heart is for sale always buy the heart. You always come out ahead in money. And with the moustache it's even better.
Antibody is also lovely for vampire money. Getting an extra 1HP from each health pickup is sick.

The cost of a heart is less than the vampire gives you for it, so you should buy the heart (especially with mustache) then use her again.
mustache and hp on sale is free money with the vampire,, it already is normally but with mustache its literally free money.
Gas mask and spring boots are not bad either

Man, on 2nd floor, you could sell half a heart for 24, and buy a full heart for 36 with a chance of getting an extra half... In any situation you would still win. This could improve your run a lot with some little luck. Just a tip! Nice videos, btw, bro! 😁
tfw NL doesn't make use of the literally free HP/money that also has a chance to give even more free HP synergy

That's what I was hoping he would do, still did well though.
Great show, NL! Now that you're this far, I've got some tips for Punchout, if you'd like:
1. Never side dodge, you can counter everything with blocks and ducks. It's kinda stupid.
2. Always alternate sides when punching, it gets you the most damage.
3. You get a bonus rat key for each phase you finish with a super attack.
4. Super attack charges off of hitting him while vulnerable (yellow flash) and is reset when getting hit.
5. Super goes through block and can finish him from ~20% with one star of charge.
This series has been a joy to watch. Can't wait to see you knock his ass out!

yo black hole gun is amazing on the rat, completely removes the dodging from the fight
hey NL, the rat fight is important to do, but dont let repeatedly throwing yourself at it make you want to stop gungeon, maybe take a breather, focus on unlocking that new secret character and then come back
If he used black hole gun during the second part of the rat fight he would’ve gotten hit way less
lifeless life it would’ve also took way longer, causing him to get hit more
I love when he shoots a wall, making it crack, then immediately runs to whatever room he sees fit and using his Blanks to find the secret room. I think this is the second time he actually walked out of the correct room and just blindly used his blanks.
hey nl, try dodging backwards during the rat fight. When you dodge side to side you can still get hit by some of his punches, even if you had good timing

I will say this: TH-cam gives you money per click, not per minute. This is his job - I don't think he'll ever come out and say it because it is unfairly stigmatized - but by the way he dances around giving clear reasons why he avoids Bullet Hell, I assume he just doesn't like to make his work inefficient. And I honestly can't blame him. Unless you're Markiplier-Tier you are not going to swim in money as a TH-camr and NL's lifestyle is built on the income of the much shorter Isaac Episodes.

Good job beating the Rat, just as a heads up what people where telling you about giving the junk creep a master round, yeah what they didn't say is that you only get rewarded for it if you do it on the fourth floor, it's why he has his own room on floor four.
Ending at the Dragun is like beating Dark Souls 3 without beating Nameless King

A little curse or a lotta curse is good eggman, All jammed enemy's are 100% guaranteed to drop shells, and more than they would normally!
