NL you have to take it easier on yourself your doing fine for someone who just jumped back into gungeon, it's a wacky game, but at least it is unlike isaac in the fact that it made people go on a real world treasure hunt just to unlock a character that everybody hates at first glance

NL just a tip, you don't actually need to use a blank to find the trap door. Yes it makes it easier, but what you could do instead is walk around the room and look for more dust where your walking, that is the sign of a trap door below you

Lots of extreme lion blind moments this episode I see. *edit* damn, NL could've done triple gun + duct tape. Not his fault he doesn't know how fantastic that combo is (it retains the form if you duct tape it to something regardless of ammo), but it would've been glorious.
To be fair it's probably been awhile since we haven't seen him get those notes in this series and I think he streamed it once or twice. There's a brief period of time where the rat would steal items from the chests that you opened. He left an "infuriating note" in each of them. I believe there's six of them in total. Look at the item page in your amonomicon at the very bottom and each note will have a hint on what direction you need to go. (The little slice of cheese being an arrow to point you in the direction.) Also the map synergy was with origuni. It makes the originu a really solid gun that can do boss killing work if need be. And don't worry about the litch right now dude. Get your sea legs under you and do you. Learn the items, learn the spacing on enemy bullet patterns and room layouts, then take on bullet hell when you feel like you're capable of crafting some good runs with what you know.
NL, the direction you go in the Rat maze is different for every person, but the same across each run. If you wanna try to trial-and-error it, go for it, but I really wouldn't reccomend it. You're supposed to find the rat's notes randomly in chests to tell you where to go.
The devolved enemies are "weaker than basic floor1 'guy with pistol' enemies", which in later floors such as HECK is effectively the same as instantly killing the enemy. So, on floor 1 it doesnt do anything, but later in the game it is a "kill in 1 shots" roomclearer which is hecking amazing.
Oh god this is PRICELESS. So last episode he looked up how to get to the Rat Fight. Then didn't read the whole thing and wound up 1 blank short in order to get there. This time he doesn't bother looking it up, but fails to navigate to the fight entirely, despite previously having opened the wiki for it and failing to follow the steps outlined. Twice now. Just read the Wiki...if you're gonna spoil yourself just spoil yourself. Honestly I wish you'd wiki everything in every game that gave you pause.
Reading the Wiki doesn't help getting to the Rat. Every person has a different path to the boss. Mine is Up, Right, Up, Right, Left, Down. NL's path will be different.

Love the videos NL. Isaac, Gungeon or otherwise. Mostly just to hear you talk. You have some of the best commentary on your channel. Engaging, entertaining, and sometimes even prolific. As long as you keep talking and playing, I'll be here watching and listening.
Honestly, he should have looked it all up in the beginning. When I looked it up, the stuff with the Rat is obnoxiously convoluted. It's basically impossible for people to figure it out on their own without looking up a guide. Unless, of course, they spend an absurd amount of time experimenting.
Voracious Sergal, First of all, I haven't actually played this since the update with the Rat and just looked it up because I was curious (and could tell it was convoluted from that). Second of all, experienced players (at least before the Rat update) wouldn't let the Rat take their stuff, let alone deliberately, so people who had a decent amount of experience with the game before the Rat and who aren't already aware of the new importance of the notes will have extreme difficulty figuring it out organically. It may be a reasonable puzzle for new players who will accidentally let the rat take things, but it actually hits veteran players in the worst way possible.
NL has actively refused to pay attention for years now. The guy literally opens wikis to read, and skims so badly he misses blatantly spelled out information.
The tagline is also "Bullet the Stampede" and while I don't recognize the submachine gun second form, the first and third forms of the gun are both forms that Vash the stampede's gun takes (that being his usual pistol and the angel arm)

Loving the Gungeon runs. Apparently using duct tape on the triple gun will lock it to whatever form it's in when you use the tape, which could have been pretty cool.
I have found that strafing in a rotating pattern around mobs with the pilots blaster increases its chance to hit slightly. Could be my imagination but it seems to work for me.
You should flip tables more when you have good table techs. You don't even need to stand behind them, but when each table is a free blank that also burns enemies, there's no reason not to flip them.
The Devolver is real good for removing healthy and annoying enemies by making them far less tanky and annoying. Unless someone tells him or he reads it from a comment or tweet, I guess he'll always consider it more than sub-par.
Oubliette is good because you get two extra chests! Same reason to try and go to the second secret floor - two extra chests AND a neat guaranteed secret room :)

NL You need to talk to tonic in the breach , i have played a few runs of turbo mode and i've ascended. It's like the time chamber from DBZ every run you do in there counts as 10 runs and once you've learned to flawless the bosses in turbo , it becomes literally impossible to hit you after going back to normal speed .
Dude, I know someone who went months playing on turbo mode without actually knowing, so when he realized and went back to normal, it was like a whole new world had opened up.
NL, you should have used the Triple Gun more: specifically every time you had Magazine Rack charged up. Not only would that make rooms easily cleared, but you'd also conserve ammo in general, not using any every few rooms.
I just figured it out. Enter the Gungeon is a combination of Binding of Isaac, Nuclear Throne, and a bunch of references to various media thrown in. And I'd say it's a bit easier than Nuclear Throne (since its endless) and on par (maybe a bit easier or harder depending on the person) than Isaac
NL I wouldn't be in a rush to get to the rat, from experience he's pretty damn tough even if you're good at the lich. Learning his patterns and stuff will take awhile, it will almost certainly take a few attempts anyways
Man, my heart cant take it how he always shits on ammolets and most blank items. Start every floor with an extra blank is so good on top of the burn/freeze/poison effects. And in this run he got it with table tec blank. Litterally just damage every enemy in the room with flipping a table... found table tech blank: " I dont really like it" found ammolet: "not my cup of tea" Well I guess potential denied. :(
I'd personally prefer to see you head to the Lich, but that's just because I can't get there myself :P if you're not comfortable doing it everytime no worries. Maybe treat it like Mega Satan? Fun to go for if you've got the run for it?

That’s just a good strategy in general, circle strafing makes it easier to dodge certain shot patterns

Got to the Boss Fight room, but couldn't do anything because he didn't have a Key or the Crab Claw... classic Egg.
