I look forward to watching your videos and listening to the music very much. I wish that I could find who does it so I could play it any time. You can change things up if you would like but please rotate them as they are so good. Thank you for the Q&A!🕊🐈⬛🦋🖖
I’m right there with the others who say your music is perfect! What a boring world it would be if we all chose to do things in the very same way as everyone else! Thank you for being true to your faith and to yourself!!
Don’t let people guilt you out about things like water. I bet if we could see into their lives there would be lots of things we could point out. Just be you. You are kind, hardworking, thoughtful and have integrity. 💕
P. S. Mary, to the lady who suggested to you to change your background music, she's wrong in my opinion!!! I love the choices you pick and have recently wrote them down and listen to them while I'm cleaning or working. It's always good to have a mix, but definitely try and incorporate new with the old. They are very soothing and they go great with the tempo and style of your whole channel and style! Thanks.
Hello Mary, You are the inspiration. I used to have your energy. Now I just watch you because I can't do it anymore. But, hopefully people are kind as all you are trying to do is make a small living and give us something good to watch, good meaning wholesome. I enjoy watching you very much. Just found you by chance. Keep up the good work. I love your stuff.. I sit here trying not to covet!!! LOL
I hear you. I refinish furniture and need help wrangling some of the bigger pieces. One son lives nearby and is great about coming by to help. Recently I brought out my canvases, water color paper, and acrylics and watercolors. Now on your my 3rd painting. Another son commented that the painting looked like a place he would love to visit. What a compliment!
Hi Mary, I love your music, please don’t change it all. Some of the other TH-cam channels I watch have music I really don’t care for at all and I end up muting the sound. I have never had to do that on your channel, thank you for your wonderful taste in music!
Once the cottages are open, sounds like you need to find a storefront or cute little building in Holmes County to open the White Cottage Company brick & mortar store. Maybe a warehouse that you could have a flea market, workshop, restaurant, & store?
I could definitely see a white cottage company store with a cafe and flea market and all kinds of fun stuff. Your sister could sell plants have a little Garden area and also her beautiful artwork. You could feature all kinds of artisans from Holmes county.
I watch or have watched all of those especially She Hold’s Dearly. I’ve watched Garden Answers for years now but off and on. I do love Laura’s outings with her mom. 😊
Mary, you could contact your county extension agent to help you address your pond issue. They may suggest water samples and analyzation. This might identify what the culprit is and may have suggestions for treating. Just a thought! My husband is an extension agent in Ky and he addresses these kinds of questions all the time. Extension is an excellent source of information and education. Hope you get it cleared up

Hello Mary, The man who told you to use the leaf blower to vacuum out the car reminds me of saying if hubby had to do dishes he’d toss them in the back of the truck and drive thru the car wash! I think the leaf blower would be about just as bad 😂 Love all your videos you are an inspiration ❤
I'm watching the show where the storm came through. I'm so sorry! In my home town we had this one lady that would open this little house to the public once a year. It was full of her projects. She called it " GRANDMA'S HOUSE" I always loved to go each year. I'm hoping all your plans work out. Julie England
well on your subjects of the trolls lol I deal with that unfortunately, but business is business and trademark's help, I love your ideas and I admire your enthusiasm. never worry about others you're going to run into a lot of that thru the years, you have clientele that love your product's and other thing's you both are creating. I love the advice on the woodwork and ideas for rehabbing some of my old wood, and your antique shopping.
YES! YOU AND GARDEN ANSWER ARE MY FAVORITES!!!! the most relaxing and informative channels for me! ... mornings with coffee and GA! I think it's a trend!
Mary. I always love all your videos. And I appreciate that there was no music in the background. Some other you tubers, I can’t even hear what they are saying because of the music. I think having a signature sound like you can tell a tv show by the intro music is enough. Thanks for all the inspiration.
On the pond, I'm in groups of homesteaders/farmers and a lot of people have questions about their green ponds. Many of the more seasoned members recommend throwing a bale of hay in the pond--it will clean it out as it decomposes and helps balance the ecosystem again. I don't know if that would help in your case, but it might be worth a try! As for your birthday, I have a friend whose mom always celebrated their half-birthday (with a "half" cake, etc). I always thought that was a really neat idea for those whose birthday was near a major holiday (we had two in our family right around Christmas/New Year). You might drop a hint to hubby or your boys and see if you can get someone to surprise you on June 17. ;-) I'm always both satisfied and motivated by your videos and appreciate your gentle, godly spirit shining through. The calming music mixed with the sounds of nature that you add in makes watching them relaxing.
I love the music you choose for your videos Mary! I guess it’s because I’ve gotten so used to it and it’s calming, like you. Thanks for being so honest in your Q&A’s. You are a class act.
The Leaf Blower does work!!! I've been doing it for years now. Beach sand, leaves from the park...Just all natural back out in nature. Fortunatly, we don't eat in the care so there would be no cracker, chips or cheese puffs flying out the door. Ha Ha Cathleen
Hello Mary. I found something special in a bag (purse) I thrifted this weekend! It was a little wooden cross and a white wooden dove. I felt so special for receiving those 😊
I cannot understand why your birthday is someone’s business… I have enjoyed the many projects you’ve shared over the years. But I can see how it would be hard to put yourself out there. You are a sweet soul. Wishing you well ❤️
I love your channel, and your music is very soothing, I never think oh you should change it...every part of your videos and you are why we watch and follow you... please no need to change anything cheers :)

Awwww when Pebbles started to purr…so precious! I absolutely LOVE that you use hymns in your background music. Combined with your gentle nature, its so soothing. I love your channel so much! ❣️🌿
I haven’t ever used a leaf blower but I used to live in Southern California and we would get extreme winds that would actually blow semi trucks over. I would park my car in the driveway and open all four doors and the hatchback and it would blow out all the dust and dog hair. It did a great job. I have moved and will try the leaf blower method for sure.
Mary, your videos are a refuge to me. Your peaceful surroundings and your wonderful calm demeanor are a welcome break from the noisy city I live in. Thank you for this gift!
We share the same birthday Mary! I know exactly what you mean about it being close to Christmas and kinda bunching it together. I absolutely love your videos and your choices of music! Please don’t change them! I come from a family of musicians and it really adds to the videos! Thanks for all you do! You’re such an inspiration! 🙋🏼♀️💕
We used to get that green stuff on our ponds as well in our neighborhood. I was in charge of the ponds in our neighborhood. I used Aquasphere ( once a month ) and BLAST packets ( once a month in summer). We had a large fountain to aerate too. The green hazy stuff seemed to run in cycles and would just go away.
Hi! Regarding stocking your soap, I would go with Walnut Creek antique mall. A lot more foot traffic there. Always enjoy all of your videos. I look forward to your cottages being opened! I’d like to find out where they are located.
I remember how my life opened up, and the freedom I felt when I started driving. I went to the World's Longest Yard Sale this year and last. It starts in southern Michigan and travels down hwy 127 all the way into Alabama.
Thank you for sharing your life and projects with us. My birthday is December 29th, so I can relate to what you were saying about your gifts. :). I keep telling my family I’m going to celebrate my half birthday in June.
Please don’t change your music. I truly enjoy listening to it as you demonstrate your projects. Do you have a small place to show and sell some of your pieces there on your property?
Hi Mary! I love watching your Q and A videos because it's a bonus video for me! Please keep the music that feels good for you..we get the benefits of that 💕. Also, I think keeping your candles at both locations is ideal because it opens up more shopping experiences for us! I love your channel Mary and thank you for sharing your life with us 😍
I have just had a mad idea haha, your house siding your thinking of painting? Well as its only the brick part what about covering the brick with plastic or something and fit it as well as you can and paint the plastic to get a idea if you like the combination? Then you can just take it down and you will have a better idea if you like it 😊 slightly long winded project but I'm sure it would help.
Hi Mary. You are such an inspiration and I love and watch all of your videos. My favorites are your "Trash To Treasure" as you repurpose and create such beautiful and useful items ❤️ On another note...I'm a December baby too 🙂 December 4th is mine.
Great Q and A. My oldest daughters birthday is Dec. 20 and youngest is Nov. 23. I always tried to make their day special, so hard though with the Holidays so close. Love the sunflower background, which is my favorite. Living on the Mich. and Toledo line I always start my seeds inside. Found a beautiful sunflower package at Walmart the other day. Gorgeous color I haven't seen before. The end of March the living room window will have two card tables with seeds starting, all kinds. Love getting my hands in the dirt. Really like your videos, I wouldn't have you change a thing. Thank you for sharing 🌻
Mary I can’t wait to watch your videos every Wednesday morning. I love how talented you are with everything you make. I dry brushed red brick with white paint it’s an older 1883 farmhouse in Indiana. Everyone loves the dry brush look. ( except my sons they liked the red brick ) I tried to attach a picture but it didn’t attach
I think your usual music fits the vibe of your channel very well. Change it only if you find something else you love that you believe fits. You do you!
Pebbles sure loves you! It's adorable to watch you interact with your kitties. I love your Q&As so much. You're always so kind and so patient and respectful. I was wondering, do you use your She-Shed in the winter months too?
Hi Mary where is your other cat? I guess I missed it if you addressed it before. I love your place, it is so private and beautiful. You are such a hard worker it's hard to keep up with you. Reminds me of growing up on our farm . Farm work never ends. Love your show.
Mary , l love your videos and your music choices.....don't change a thing. You are a true inspiration to us all and we like things just the way they are. God bless.
Mary you are a blessing for me. I have been living with my husband in a tiny home (816 sq ft) we’re moving shortly into a larger (1750 sq ft) home. Your videos have kept me motivated while packing. Thank you. Is there a way to combine seaside and farmhouse style as our home is on Cape Cod. White spray paint is now a staple lol.
Just a comment…I love when you film your drives in the countryside where you live. We vacationed in Ohio’s Amish areas years ago, so seeing you drive brings back sweet memories.
Mary, I Love your background music. Please don't change it. It is as you said "branding" and its easy to listen to and for me when I hear it it's just a happy thought "Oh it's the White Cottage Company!."
Copper Sulfate was used to keep algae down in a small lake l once lived near. It was put in a mesh bag and dragged around the lake from the back of a row boat. The lake was also stocked with fish and springs and a stream were it’s water source. My grandfather owned the lake and is no longer living.
I was happy when you said when your birthday is. December 17 is my husband and my wedding anniversary😊Ironically, we have the same issue with Christmas around the corner. We usually have to do something very inexpensive to celebrate!
I added to the comment from the gentleman named Justin that I agree with him I could definitely see a white Cottage Company store with a cafe and flea market. Maybe a garden area with plants from your sister and some of her beautiful artwork. I think you could definitely feature artisans from all over the county. It would definitely be a go-to spot for people traveling through the area!
When I used to live on a small-ish lake with around nine homes built on it, we would go through this problem each August or so. We were in the Central Valley of California, so August was consistently over a hundred degrees each day. Most of us had white sand beaches abutting the lake, thus separating our landscaped areas from the water, but nonetheless some fertilizer would seep into the water. We finally consulted with Fish and Game and had them diagnose what was going on. They suggested a kind of treatment which I seem to recall included lime and some kind of phosphate. It was a powder which was distributed into our lake via a blower mounted on the back of a boat. After a few days it would create a flocculation and sink all these horrid algae threads to the bottom of the lake. Our frogs and fish did not suffer. We treated it each year. Hopefully you can try something along this line to remediate what is going on. Your pond is such a special part of your property and I hope you can restore it to it’s former beautiful and healthy state. Keep up the inspiring work Mary. We enjoy it so!
Spent Labor Day weekend in Walnut Creek. I was so happy you had put some candles in the booth. Bought a large jar candle, no shipping!! Maybe try both places and see where is sells better. Love your channel so much, thank you!
Personally I love the music you put in the background. I find it very soothing and actually look forward to it, and smile when the same music is there once again.
Please put your candles at Walnut Creek Antiques Mall. My husband took me to Holmes County for a couple of days in early summer, and we went to Walnut Creek Mall twice. Nice people-- and I found some interesting things to buy...a rolling pin, a fancy woodwork corner, and a mason jar of white buttons! You weren't at Addie's yet, so I don't know where that is.
Mary I had to laugh at the remark in regards to using a leaf blower to clean out car. My husband has done this many times. Our nephew owns Funeral Homes in the this area and my husband also uses blower to clean inside of hearse. Blowes all the flower petals out. Lol.
Hello Mary. I enjoy the Q and A videos you are such a sweet lady. You are so patient with your projects they always turn out amazing. Thanks for sharing all that you do. God Bless your beautiful family.
As a parent of adult children who happen to like to travel with me, there is no such thing as too many USB ports in a room, house, or where ever we are staying. I say have them not only on the island, but in the desk because the time that they'll be needed is all at the same time.
YOU INSPIRE. Your inspiration is so contagious. THANK YOU. Your ENERGY TOO. Thank You and you are sooooooooooooooooo talented. Not only your talent but your Christian faith is also.
I like your Q&A videos. I have learned so much watching your channel, thank you. I get it about your birthday. My bday is 12/25. And as you said, the older I get it doesn’t bother me. We are holiday people: me-Christmas, grandson-12/26, husband-veteran’s day & older son-valentines day. Guess we’re just happy. ☺️
Hu Mary, I love all of your videos and wanted to share that I too, follow Laura on Garden Answer. She is so knowledgeable and so energetic! Thank you for the other recommendations too!
Hi Mary- I live on the largest lake in NJ, a couple years ago our lake had that green yuck too. It was from fertilizer run off. No boating, swimming or fishing for 2 years due to it. 🥺 I also LOVED Downton Abbey❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
I really enjoy your channel. I’ve been watching for quite some time, and I am inspired by your diy’s, thrift flips, and makeovers. You always do a great job!
Mary, I want to compliment you on how graciously you handle the critical comments. I'm afraid I would be choking on my pride, but you accept some of them as constructive, and others you explain yourself in such away that the person who left the comment must just relax back into his/her chair, satisfied. Hope I can develop that skill!
Regarding the pond. Living here in SW Florida on the Gulf in Cape Coral we are dealing with problems because of fertilizer run off. Causes a real mess. Nothing can be done except to stop fertilizers and use more natural things.
Never would I have you imagined as a Friends or a Seinfeld person ! I think that's great ! Always enjoy your videos, you sound like such a sweet person :) thanks for sharing. Chris from France
Mary in your Q & A someone said change your background music or do without. I like it when you play soft gospel music in the background. It's so soothing to me, but of course we all have different tastes. I just don't like videos with LOUD music, not that you play yours like that. Lol I thoroughly enjoy your videos Mary. Great job.
I was surprised when you talked about using a leaf blower to clean the inside of your vehicle. I did that in the spring of this year. I was going out and picking up a friend. Time was short so I thought why not use my leaf blower. It worked great and was so fast! I love your channel! ❤
I love all your videos. We were in Holmes county/Berlin a few weeks ago. Went to the Peddler just for your candles, but they weren’t there 🥲. Please stock your candles somewhere. We will be visiting again soon. 😀
Mary, we were told that stuff on our pond is pollen . It occurs just a certain time of year from the trees here. Also, a question for you....any information where we can get some skirts like yours? Do you make them or buy them? Love your channel. I'm painting an old metal pet gate and frame (freestanding) this week (white, of course lol!) and it will go across our front porch at the entry for our two German Shepherds. Love your channel!
Hi from Canada, I agree with your pond guy about the green scum being due to fertilizer run-off. We back on to a golf course and farm land and our creek develops this same green scum over the summer. It seems to get worse with the heat and lack of rain as it becomes more concentrated. Really sad that use of fertilizers and weed control has such devastating effects on our creeks and ponds.
Please don’t change your music it’s so relaxing!.::sometimes I go back to older videos just for the music. Haven’t commented in awhile but had to make sure you had my vote on: don’t change the music!

We have the same thing on our pond as do several people around us in Mo. It goes away just takes some time. We are way behind on rainfall
People are so rude. I love the music you play in your videos! You do what you like, Mary!!
Nick Lewis recently did a video on underrated design styles, one of which was Coastal Grandmother, which may be a bit like what you're after.
Just a comment…I love when you film your drives in the countryside where you live. We vacationed in Ohio’s Amish areas years ago, so seeing you drive brings back sweet memories.
Great Vid, lol LOL I heard your birds squawking and kept going to the window to see what was going on, LOL
Well, you are our inspiration! So happy you are soooo ambitious! Lots of love to you amaryllis❤️🎶🤗🇨🇦
Hopefully you can
try something along this line to remediate what is going on.
Love your channel so much, thank you!
garden answer is my stress reliever and keeps me energized to take care of my garden
Don't change your music!!!! Please! I love it and i do definitely associate it with you and White Cottage Company. It is so soothing.
Personally I love the music you put in the background. I find it very soothing and actually look forward to it, and smile when the same music is there once again.
I love your videos, but honestly, Pebbles is the best bonus !!! The sweetest little face.
I love that you watch Farmhouse on Boone! You and Lisa are my favorites ❤️
Please don't change your music. I agree with you, your music is your brand. No updating needed imho!! 💖
Are you going to include a list of thrift stores in the area for people who stay at your cottages ! Would love that
Hu Mary, I love all of your videos and wanted to share that I too, follow Laura on Garden Answer. She is so knowledgeable and so energetic! Thank you for the other recommendations too!
Hi Mary- I live on the largest lake in NJ, a couple years ago our lake had that green yuck too. It was from fertilizer run off. No boating, swimming or fishing for 2 years due to it. 🥺
I also LOVED Downton Abbey❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
WoW! Sad, I used to live in Jersey(Hunterdon & Warren co.) ...
I really enjoy your channel. I’ve been watching for quite some time, and I am inspired by your diy’s, thrift flips, and makeovers. You always do a great job!
Hello 👋 how are you doing?
No no no one of the reasons I watch your videos is the beautiful sounds of the musics you choose so relaxing and clam 😉
I would love to see you sell your candles at the antique mall. It’s not far from my house. Love these videos.
Thinking the gunk in your pond is algae bloom. Very common, now, on Lake Erie-fame fertilizer run off. 😕
I get so excited when I see your videos. You always amaze me in your ability to transform items from ugly to so beautiful and cool .
I love your little she shed. I have one and it is such a source of tranquility for me. I adore your videos. You calm my soul. ❤
She used to make and sell the skirts, but doesn't anymore.
Haven’t commented in awhile but had to make sure you had my vote on: don’t change the
music!
I have heard a few other TH-camrs saying that people are posting negative comments on people that leave comments on videos. Sounds like trolls if you ask me, they never have anything better to do😊. Love you Mary!
I never noticed your music as being a bother. I love the hymns you sometimes use. What ever you do will be fine.
