What magic does Laura have that I can be drinking coffee in my pajamas on a freezing cold rainy morning one minute and the next, dressed with rain boots and slicker walking out the door to go find a garden shop?!?!?!
Love it when you take us to the garden center for plant hauls! Always happy for the inspiration they give. Honestly Laura, your parents garden center is so wonderful. I love how everything is displayed. My garden center isn't nearly as inspiring.
It's always fun to go on a plant run with you. I have a question about Amaryllis . We've gotten 3 stems each produceing 4 flowers each. When the flowers have gone by do I just leave them and let them shrivel up. Or do I cut them off? Love your videos.
Growing up on Kauai, we had a stephanotis vine growing on our fence and we picked the flowers to make leis. Today I learned that it's also know as Madagascar jasmine and can be grown as a houseplant. Neat!
Your mom is so upscale in every way..houseplants, Christmas ornaments and decor. Andrews is a rare find store for sure. I wonder if the locals appreciate that 💚✨️💕✨️💚
I have an online friend who lives in the area and says the transformation at Andrews has been astonishing since Laura's parents took over. It was more of a basic farm supply store -- seeds (of course), fertilizers, tools, not much else. Now it's just a treat to explore!
Oh, my goodness, the garden center looks great, and shopping there is a house plant lover's dream! Makes me wish I lived closer to the store. Laura, could you please make a video of a small terrarium setup using various wonderful little ferns?
The Madagascar Jasmin is beautiful and the scent, oh my! Bought one 3 years ago and grew a few others from seed. I keep them outside all year round and they thrive in my zone 10 (Portugal). Such beautiful plants at the garden centre!
As a kid I remember my mom and grandma having a trailing heart leaf philodendron and spider plants. My grandma loved African violets too. I don’t have many places in my house for house plants but I do have one kitchen window that gets morning sun. I’m getting the itch to try some of those out.
Thank you so much for this video. What an extraordinary variety of tropicals. I just retired a year ago from the interior plantscaping industry. 50 years of caring for these types of plants so you made my day seeing many new varieties for me. Looking forward to seeing how your Martha Stewart begonia grows, I've wanted one for a couple of years now. 😊
In my experience, the more houseplants you have in close proximity, the better they like it. I think it’s because they create their own microclimate with extra humidity. I love seeing all the strange and wonderful types. I’m most surprised by that Lacy leafed begonia. So glad you picked one of those. 💚💚💚
Your organization videos have done wonders to my living spaces. My living room has a huge window so I am able to place plants at different levels using books and small rattan baskets. There is a long, low rectangular table in front so I have room for more plants. We are at -12 this morning so I have time to look for plants and wait for a warmer day to get them. Thank you so much! You have know idea how you help us get through these winter months. More snow tomorrow. Indiana is having winter for the first time in a decade or more. Have a peaceful weekend.
I never had inside plants for years till you inspired me. Thanks for all you do. And thanks to your mom, Monica and the whole Andrew seed gang for all they do!
It would be fun to see you and Samantha put together a fairy garden using that ponytail fern… maybe with some rain forest or beach feels to it.. I’m always amazed to see kids imaginations put into action… 🥰
Laura, i tried those plug in uv fly catchers. OMG, they completely cleared out the Fungas Gnats!! You might want to try them for the time period when the grow lights go off!!!🎉
@@Septoma3can you include a link? I have gnats in my kitchen growlight setup. I have yellow sticky butterflies, but I need something else to win this fight. 😂
The variety and the size of the plants that your mother brings in to the Earth center is remarkable. I love all the little ones can make combined planters.. wonderful thank you for the tour
The houseplants are beautiful and the way they are displayed looks lovely with the fabrics draped with coordinating containers and other pretty items. Also loving the new greenish paint color along the window and the spools used for displays
I just noticed the quote by Thoreau hanging in the front room of the garden center and just get chills when I think of how resilient the earth is are and how miraculous it is that a tiny seed can grow up to be such an amazing creation.
Love this. It terribly cold here and this makes me want to play hooky from work and go plant shopping. I can rarely find those little baby plants. I need more of those so I can get more variety but keep them contained.
I loved this tour of house plants I didn’t realise how differently from Australian to the American speech is a little different in pronunciation put a smile on my face love this video thank you so much Laura your amazing such a pretty plant selection 🥰🌱from the LandDown Under 🇦🇺🐨🦘👒
I’m with you. I have never seen a begonia like that. Beautiful. Ooohhh exciting. I love Andrew’s. I just love that store…. It feels sooo homey in there.. see ya in the next one….
Really appreciating your houseplant tour of Andrew's. Living on the Treasure Coast, many of the plants you show as houseplants we can grow outside on our lanai and in our foyer. And we will. I diligently wrote down the names of several of the ferns and plan to go to my local garden center to see if I can't locate a few to add alongside of our Boston ferns. Thanks, Laura for listing the qualities of the plants you showed us this morning. So helpful!
The person trying to duck behind the view of the camera at 18:17 gave me the laugh I really needed today. 😂 What interesting houseplants, I appreciate the additional knowledge of the ones that are easier to take care of - those are my type of houseplants 😅
Thank you for telling us what the variety is but mostly the temp, light and watering. I’m looking to get some more plants for my home. Especially one for the bathroom with little light. Please let us know how your purchase does. Thank you❤
Your parent's shop is the best. I love how they have everything arranged and the plants always look so healthy and well loved. It looks so pretty. I wish I lived nearby! and now I want to buy a string of hearts plant!❤
I love house plants especially newer varieties on the market. I like to start out small and watch them grow in maturity. My oldest plant is 41 years...i have so many larger plants that i bought in a small 2 or 3 inch container.
Gorgeous plants! I adore the swissiest swiss cheese monstera the most. But my grandson loves turtles and he would really appreciate that cute string of turtles from the beginning - they have realistic turtle shell markings on each leaf. So fun!
I always look forward to plants coming in. I've got some ideas of what to look for. Anxious to find something new that I don't have. Thank for sharing.
What a haul!!! What fantastic plants at the garden center! I wish our nurseries had that kind of variety. Thanks for the tour - makes me want to run out and find some of those treasures 💚 🪴🤎

what a fun tour! love all those interesting varieties… i need to get down to my local garden center and have a walkabout 😂 sadly my space is limited due to a cat that thinks every living plant is a salad 🫤😂 love the story about the staff as well as you picking out their new stash too 😂😂 what a great place to work! 🥰❤️thanks for the video! 🥰❤️
Thank you for sharing all of the lovely plants! I'm with you and dying to get back into Spring. I have a Jewel Orchid in bloom right now! Wish I could share the picture. They definitely do look like a miniature orchid ❤
Thank you for taking us on a field trip to the garden center 😊❤ Susan did a great job on this load of beautiful plants my oh my I can't decide what are my favorites lol have a great day everyone
Oh my goodness that was amazing! I already had a LOT of those plants on my wishlist, but it was really nice to have Laura pick them up and talk about them. Now to find them somewhere near me!
Off topic thinking about your kitchen garden idea. Sounds like something I would like to do but don’t know where to start and have it look nice as well. Maybe this would be an excellent time to ask for viewers pictures 😍
I had a rabbit foot fern that actually sported to have the white fronds and I thought it was sick. I'm so happy to know that there's a white Paw one because now I have to find it!!!
This was great to see , I was hoping you would get the huge plant , I fall in love with large plants and any tree🥰. In my mind I live in your garden and have a medium sized home full of gorgeous plants. Thanks for taking us with you x
So good to go to your parents garden centre to see lots of beautiful house plants so shout out to them down there. And thank you for taking us along to see all the beautiful house plants and you got so real beautiful ones.
Also, love how some of the plants are diplayed on large saucers with pebbles underneath, so interesting, even for someone to do a little collection at home 😊💚✨️💚
Thank you so much, just what we needed on this bleak cold day, in the mountains of New Mexico!!! 23 this morning. Can't wait for spring!!! Thanks Pixie 😊
Thanks Laura! I got some great ideas for plants for a Galentines Brunch I am throwing this year. Im going to see if I can get some little pink princess plants that I can set out at each place setting for everyone to take home!

Money. She can probably write the house and all of the plants and landscaping off as a business expense too.
@dawnsfields Yes I agree!!
The magic of video editing probably 😂😂
Me too 😂❤ we just Got Home from the local shop… again… again 😂❤
Shout out to Mom Susan and Monica for their excellent stock selections!
Love it when you take us to the garden center for plant hauls! Always happy for the inspiration they give.
Honestly Laura, your parents garden center is so wonderful. I love how everything is displayed. My garden center isn't nearly as inspiring.
My parakeet is communicating with yours while we watch 😊
I took a distance French class. My parrot would participate with me when I recorded my assignments. My Professor loved it!
😅
So cute !!! 😂😂
Oh my goodness, Liz, that is just too funny! 😆❤️ Liz
I should get several begonias for my house.
Love hearing the birds in the background.
I wish I had a nursery like your parents near me! So many great houseplants to choose from.
Hi ours closes for the winter. It's nothing like Susan's Garden Center. if I can't find what I'm looking for I take a trip to Amarillo, Texas.
