Mary, you always reminded me a little of my daughter who set up an organic cosmetics business here in Israel. She started by making soap in her kitchen and then moved to a shed in her yard. In time she opened a small shop. Now she has a factory in Ofakim, a town in the Israeli Negev, and is doing very well. Now that you have started making soap, you remind me of her even more!
She makes moisturizers, face serums, shampoo, soaps, etc etc. During Covid, she and her husband developed an organic hand sanitizer. Her company is called Arugot, from the Song of Songs, meaning a row of fragrant flowers. She sells online and in health food shops here in Israel and soon hopes to have someone in the United States selling her products.

Our birds eat up their suet and seeds within a 48 hr time period. But love seeing our feathered friends and my kitties enjoy them also from INSIDE the house . Love hearing all their different calls and chirps.

Hi Mary. Fun to go down memory lane, and be reminded of the days, as a kid, when women would make soap in the back yard. Everyone saved their fat renderings and did the lie/fat thing outside. Can't remember whether they added fragrance, or not, but it was utilitarian, as it was used for dishes, laundry, baths, etc. Nowadays its fun to come across those wire baskets we used to get some suds to froth up in the dishwater. Have fun making the soap. They're really pretty.

Hi Mary! I can't resist commenting on your dental visit. After 47 years of being a Dental Hygienist (I am now retired) it's so cute to see your honest emotion on going to the dentist. If there indeed is no visible problem, you may want to try directly applying Sensodyne Repair & Protect on the sensitive area, whether it's on the chewing surface or possibly on the side of the tooth, or both. Let it set a few minutes before rinsing. You can reapply a few times a day for several days if necessary. That product will help put a barrier to protect against cold or sweets ... If your issue is more involved than that, you may eventually need further professional treatment.. Hope that helps. Love your sweet, kind & helpful videos!
My life used to be so much less complicated. My adult children gave me a puppy 17 months ago needless to say life has never been the same. First off she is an Aussie and always needs work, busy w her all the time. I have had six Aussies but I’d like to slow it down some.
I was always refinishing furniture or sewing always one to be busy in the house, I miss not being able to do projects, my free time is used training a dog, but when I have some time I love watching your projects, always inspiring. My best to you and hoping to get back at it again someday

We lived in Washington County in southwest PA in the early 80s. Because I grew up on the plains of Kansas, where everything was laid out east-west and north-south, I was always car-sick driving around the narrow lanes and through the hollers...your video gave me a blast from the past 🤢 LOL!! I always have wanted to have chickens. Far enough away from the house. I remember my neighbors raised chickens that free ranged. We bought eggs from them. There house smelled like chickens. Anyway, I noticed you bought organic. That made me remember about that and my grandmas chickens. I smile a lot when I you release a video.

Hello, I’m Michele from NYC. I’ve been enjoying watching some of your videos and this one, thus far, is my favorite. I most especially like the part of you making your soaps and would love a tutorial video in the future. The green looks lovely and I now want to purchase your soaps ☺️. My being from NYC seems like such a world away from your life in Ohio. You have a lovely home and surroundings and I appreciate it so much. Watching you make food for the birds and feeding them reminded me of when I was a little girl in the Bronx living in a five story walk up building and spending time with my grandmother, that lived one floor below us, and making treats to feed the birds, mostly pigeons, and we’d place a tray of goodies for them on the fire escape. They would be there lined up for their treats. Another memory you instilled was when you mentioned the spiders and that you will not hurt them. My grandmother would always tell us that it was bad luck to kill spiders and to this day I never do. Yes we do get spiders in our apartments in NYC as well. I realized many years ago that my grandmother may have not wanted us to kill spiders because where she grew up, and was from in Puerto Rico, they lived on a farm and spiders would have been wanted around to keep the population of unwanted pests/bugs at a minimum that would harm the fruits and veggies being grown on the property. Thank you helping to bring back those lovely memories of time spent with my grandmother 😊. I want to ask, and please forgive my ignorance, what is it that you place on the back of your head above your bun? It looks pretty and I was just wondering. Looking forward to more of your videos. Oh and one more thing, your husband has a nice face. What I mean by that is that if I were stuck on some secluded road in the middle of nowhere, and he stopped to offer assistance, I would look at his face and feel instinctively that he would not hurt but help me. Just by looking at his nice face. Hope that makes sense. All the best to you and your family and may you all continue to be blessed.

What a lovely part of the country you live in. I've was blessed to visit Holmes County so very long ago. Compared to living in the hot very dry desert area Ohio farm country is a slice of heaven . I liked the green. I was fascinated by your soap making.
When you expand you should have John build you a multi bar cutter using stainless steel wire and guitar tuners. They aren't hard to make. The one I made cuts 16 bars at a time. And a slab cutter for when you move into much larger molds. Soaping is a lot of fun.
