Benromach does beautiful whisky and their contrasts range are hidden gems with good abv, solid distilling and great cask plays. I think the real winner of this challenge is you my firend 😃 Cheers!
Sherry and peat, when done well, is wonderful. Haven't had any of this series, only have the B10 and B15 on the shelf...as yet unopened. Probably won't get to them till the fall. Guessing they're going to be good backyard fire drams. Cheers Tyler 🥃🥃 Marian 🇨🇦
Thanks for the comment Marian, the Peat Smoke Sherry is wonderful and under $100 which is wild! I can’t wait to grab a bottle and get working through it. You know me, I love my Sherry. Cheers and enjoy your weekend
6 or 7 years ago, Benromach did an exclusive release for the SAQ from a single ex-bourbon cask, cask strength at 59.4%, and heavily peated. That still stands among my top 10 favourite whiskies from the last ten years. I always have a couple of different expressions from Benromach on my shelves. Another good review!
Thanks for sharing and the kind words Chuck! Benromach is one that I never saw much of in the LCBO, but after this tasting event put on by SOS I am going to be grabbing some from out west. Their cask strength releases all impressed me especially the sherry hogshead ones. Cheers sir!
Have both of these bottles, Benromach is becoming one of my favorite distilleries.
Thanks for the comment Peter. Both are great and very reasonably priced! The Peat Smoke Sherry is a definite buy for me in the future! Cheers!
