Can pounded yam flour be used this way as well? Does the method apply to all fufu? I.e. paste, boiling water and stir-in?
Yes, you can cook most of them this way especially if it is in flour form.

Yes you can keep this overnight and microwave later but after about 12-24 hours the quality will not be as good as it should be.
