Thank you very much. But how many people will type morsel in the search box? We choose certain terms purposely. Besides, swallow is now more commonly understood as local meals that are not chewed, but swallowed. I hope you understand me.
I'd love to try this, and also your red millet recipe made into swallow. But I've always been put off by the dirt I would have to clean. I will give this a try but hope I don't spend hours trying to get it clean. I have some questions, please. Can you dry this in the oven? Can you make this into kunu from the powder form? Thank you for reinventing different ways to enjoy our local foods.😊
Thank you very much🤗. I know! Cleaning the grain is work, but I find this method of rinsing to get the dirt out a lot easier. Yes, I think it’s possible to make kunu from the flour. Just mix in water and sieve like we do for akamu . As for drying, I’ll say it best to dehydrate if your oven has that function. The regular oven drying will cook the grain and may prevent it from thickening/rising when making swallow. I hope my English will pass😁
Nigeria rice, stones. Nigeria beans, stone. Even your bitter leaves have sand in it. Now millet, also have stones in it. Ah Nigeria, improve yourself. Great video anyway. JMO
My sister Sorghum is not Guinea Corn. We have Millet, Guinea Corn & Sorghum. Millet is the Cereal use for Pito & Beer Gunea Corn is the Cereal is used for Furah & Nakiri
Another name for sorghum is "guinea corn" , this term is widely used in west Africa. Sorghum is the same thing as guinea corn. Check Google or any other browser.
@@thomasassim-ita1787 Nothing wrong but you make it seem like it's only found in NIGERIA which is false if you haven't travelled outside your boundaries
What else can i use this flour for? Can I soak for more than one day to get the benefits of fermentation? Do you think this would affect the taste and texture if fermented before drying and milling? One more question, you didn't wash your sorghum in your previous video. I would like to know why you didn't. Thank you 👍
I believe you can bake with this. I plan to do same, and I’ll share my experience here. I also think fermentation can help improve the texture and taste. I did. I always wash my grains. They come with so much dust, stones and sand. I can’t use without wasting. The one I’m currently processing, I washed yesterday.
If you dont want to eat millet, its fine..leave the lady alone

The red or white coloured on is millet. This one used for Kunu is Guinea Corn.
I ate this millet meal(swallow) while I was in secondary school, this was what we were given instead of Eba(garri). It's really nice.
@@mi-snow9191 it is, really nice

It definitely will work for swallow, drink and pap. But I’m not sure if it will pop

Is that quinoa?
No. Millet
The MACROS might knock you out of ketosis. It has 36 grams of carbs per quarter cup. But hey, better than coke and bread and junk!
I wish I understood this
It is not better than Amala. You guys need to stop.😢
It is especially for yam flour, yam flour is starchy, this has more of fibre and protein.
Introduce this to the communities to help them fiber is what we need very important
@@ElizabethEnow-s1u thank you. I know some communities already eat this

Where did you get this information.
Actually guinea corn is not used to make fura. Millet is used in making fura.
Five minutes is not enough to cook the swallow because it will still be tasting raw. You need more time. It is our staple, we cook it a lot
Is even good to mixed it with garri or pounded yam God bless you Africa we have hearlth problems too much
What is Swallow?
Please help me understand.
Food that is rolled into a ball.
Like the one you saw in the beginning.
And used to eat soup. African food.
