My late brother got saved in our Baptist Church when he was 10 years old, that came out as gay in his 20s and lived an open lifestyle of it with the same man for 30 years. The Hebrew word for "men" ("anashim") is male plural and includes females, such as with "men of Jerusalem", "sons of God" etc. Read further in the same verse (Genesis 19:4) and it also uses the word "PEOPLE from every quarter" (of the city), so it was PEOPLE, not MEN!
Verse 7 gives context, they were MEN, it says in the interlinear "brothers of me".
