I'm starting to get a bit pissed off with my Series X. I bought it to compliment my Switch (and PC, PS4 and WiiU), except nothing comes out on it, meaning I'm just using my Switch and occasionally the others for everything. Next 5 games I plan on buying Trails From Zero, Trails Through Daybreak, Reynatis, Tokyo Xanadu Ex and Ys X. Not one of them coming to Series X. What's the fucking point? No Tales games, no fuck all when it comes to RPG's. I don't understand why an entire genre is being left off the console. No Star Ocean SSR2. No Octopath. There are literally no RPG's. They're even coming out on PS4 still but for some reason Xbox can't manage. All the games I'm actually enjoying on Xbox are all on the other platforms too. It's just redundant to me.
I've got an xbox one and needing an update. Do i go for the series s or x Im mostly worried about the games I've got. I dont want to rebuy. All are digital but im still worried i wont be able to play them
As someone that went through a headache with their pc due to the scan and repair headache all the time , i can stand by and say thay the Xbox series X has saved my love for gaming. Scanning and repairing was auch a headache. Would pay more in the long run for something that is gonna work all the time
I have noticed the series X is a powerful "PC". My pc is over 2k and my girl wanted to play ark with me, so I picked up the X for 450 and we can both enjoy it without me dropping 1k+ on a pc for her.
It’s only worth if there’s a sale. I got one recently at Target for $300. If anybody here is looking to buy this console I suggest waiting a couple months and catch a holiday sale.
I'm still thinking about getting the Xbox Series X, sooner or later it might be impossible to get the Xbox Series X with the disc drive? I don't think much to the new all white Xbox Series X and the all digital future looks bad. I'm looking forward to Elders Scrolls 6. I've heard Steam is coming to Xbox, the question is when?
I bought the Xbox Series X specifically for the backwards compatibility and cheaper games lol even though its apparently dead. Also I love the OG Xbox because of its modding scene from 2005 era when i got into it like back 2006-7 after getting one cheap. But before then I considered myself a PlayStation Fanboy but somehow have supported Xbox lol just because of its hacking etc 😅 😂
I had series s for 3 years and it broke so i'm gonna buy used series x and get games from my friend, i just hope my games and progress are saved on my account
It's worth it on two levels for me: 1. Backwards compatibility. I still have the og saints row, the og army of two, Fallout 3 and Fallout NV for xbox 360 from when I got them all 14 years ago for my 360. Now I can once again enjoy them. 2. Mods Got a series x for black friday 2023, in may 2024 I got myself Fallout 4 for it and let me tell you something..... After 8+years of playing it Vanilla, I am never touching it again without mods. I also read somewhere that sometime down the line, Stalker 2 will also support modding for Xbox. It's just a win win.
I bought an S back in 2021 cause the supply shortages wouldn’t end. I waited a whole year from 2020 to 2021 and eventually caved for the S cause I never thought I’d be able to get an x below like 800$. Now 3 years later I am thinking of upgrading
Is it worth buying an Xbox series X in late June 2024 or July 2024? Do they add enough games to game pass to make it worth having a series X? Is a new Xbox console coming out that’s more powerful soon or should I wait for the next gaming console?
I’ve owned the Series X since 2021 and so far here are my pros and cons. Pros: Backwards compatibility Media: renting or buying shows and movies on the Microsoft store Graphics: top of the line specs in the console market. Controller: ergonomic and familiar. UI: simple Cons: Lack of first party games
there's still more first party games than playstation. Only in 2024: indiana jones, helblade 2 , avowed, ara, towerborne, dlc starfiield, age of mitholgy, new flight simulator ans some third party like stalker 2, ark 2, etc.... 0 First party games for playstation until march 2025. And on pros, you dont'talk about gamepass ?
If it wasn’t for the lack of games, it could have easily been my console of choice. But Microsoft is being lazy asses and not giving us any new games so PS5 it is then!
I just traded in my Series S for the X at GameStop, and it’s been amazing and well worth the upgrade in my opinion. The disc drive and storage space alone makes it worth it for me, but the extra power is the cherry on top.
I also prefer pc but You cant play all xbox / ps5 exclusives And it is very deficult to build a pc for 450usd that is equvilant to the consols performance ,
The PS5 was worth it because it's had some worthwhile exclusives. The Series X was never worth it over the One X, which I still love and play to this day. Anything else , yep, PS5 it is. Or even on Steam Deck which is a marvel of a PC handheld.
My boyfriend has a PS5 I’m still on a ps4 but haven’t played since having my son. We thought it would be best if I got the Xbox so we could have best of both worlds 🤷🏼♀️ the cost just scares the crap out of me tbh 😅
Same I haven’t played video games since my roomate had a series x a year ago and before that it was back in 2017. I plan on getting back in to gaming when next gen releases
It’s the only console I’m considering, I have a PC for games now but wanting to collect physical games and have a console for GTA 6. The future Xbox games look good and are new. I had a PS4 the whole generation so the exclusives like last of us why would I buy a PS5 to play it on there when I’ve played it on PS4
I recently sold my Xbox because I realized most games were cross gen anyway. There are a few that are exclusive to Xbox, But owing a PS5, I made a choice to keep the PS5. I already own a pc as well, So if there is really something I want to try from Xbox, I can just play it on pc. My Series X was collecting dust and rarely used it, So that was a sign that I really didn't need it. I remember the 360 and PS3 days when it was worth owning both because of the great exclusives, Xbox 360 was one of my favorite consoles and probably still is, Even with the red rings of death I got on multiple replacements lol.
Series x is better than the ps5 honestly. But the lack of first party games is brutal. I've been loyal to xbox since the 360 but it's pretty damn bad now
👀 2024 is stacked!!! This year- Hellblade 2, Avowed, Indiana Jones, COD Black Ops Gulf War, Towerbourne South Of Midnight Diablo 4. Console exclusive Stalker 2 and Ark 2 all Gamepass MLB The Show 24 NBA 2k24 about to and just came in. Incredible variety and value Xbox is rocking and the true console to game on if your a gamer 💯💚
you probably want to play wayyy more backwards compatible games then i do, but when i had my xbox one, the only backwards games i played were like cods
you can play Dishonored on Xbox series X. You just need to get the Xbox One version of it. Same goes for your 2 Batman games. Now in defense of Microsoft. Backward compatibility heavily depends on developers and if they decide to make Xbox One version of the game. So sometimes, they do not care, but other times they do not exist, so they cannot get proper licensing for certain, characters or music anymore. As a result some were better than others. Obviously those best preserved are Microsoft owned studios games (and I mean, that they already own for at least 10 years), then there are several big publishers - Ubisoft is actually a stellar example of a developer that made many of their titles backward compatible. (giving praise, where it is deserved). Worst cases are those with licensing issues. Because a game with a dead developer might still have an owner and there might be a chance, that it will be at least remastered. But a game in a licensing hell (especially if it is a mission impossible to get those rights) might never get there.
I bought the series X a year ago and I can honestly tell you DO NOT BUT IT over the Xbox One, Xbox One S or the Xbox One X !! It’s not worth it and it’s a waste of money. You get a tiny bit better graphics but who cares. It doesn’t play any better !!!!!!
I have two modded 360s. An Xk3y and JTAG a modded WII for my GameCube games. Also an Xbox One X which i mostly use for Kodi and a PS5 for great games both PS4 & 5 exclusives. My answer is no series X isn't worth it. Emulation isn't backwards compatibility. Which is what Xbox cons you into thinking it is. Digital only means when license's run out they can alter your games. On a disc they can't do that. But each to their own.
If you haven’t owned an Xbox or been a PS fanboy like me. Yes it’s amazing! Who would ever think quick resume would be such an upgrade compared to the PS5. The gamepass comes with EA. I always thought PS was better cause of the exclusives but I’ve only played every god of war. Not worth it. Controllers Xbox is friendlier, camera any Logitech works unlike PS. The downloading takes for ever on Xbox compared to PS5. I’ll say both consoles have the games I play. I’ve always said sport games look a lot if not way Better then PS. PS movie type games look so real a cinematic type of feel. Unlike the Xbox the story type games look cartoonish…
@GarrettMusic1 was origins I'm playing on the xbox one s thou I'm playing quite a few games for it haha. Will gey to odyssey for the xbox saying its free on game pass
Just buy a 2nd hand 360.....and No Xbox forced people to go digital this generation gamers didn't really have a choice, Xbox trying to monopolise that's all and that's why after years of being a Xbox supporter I changed to the PS5 which has far better 1st party games and almost have 100% disc alternatives and oh they don't fill you so much false hope and promises by Phil Spencer.... 😂
Wheres all the NEW AND DIFFERENT GAMES? People buy new consoles to play all the old console games. 4 years on and not alot of games specifically for the newest gen consoles
weak in exclusives, heck exist about 21 for ps5. BC absolutely opened doors to my disc collection. Owned each generation since OG. edit - in light of the backlash of the p5 pro's $700, were i an exec at microsoft my memo entitle GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY, recommends return of BC and a price slash.
When I did have one it sat and was basically a glorified 4K/Blu Ray Disc player, since I collect those. So I said nah, this thing is a dust collector. Then again I'm not a hardcore gamer at ALL.

Have both consoles rhe PS5 and Series X and let's be clear for 2024 gaming industry Series X keep very strong and exaggerated PS5 doesn't shine like before even the Dual Sense 2 aren't the best in a badly shaped controller design where my Elite 2 is far way superior without tiredness my hands. As well have many similar games on the both consoles and depends if I'll connect these consoles for my 60" 4K TV or my Samsung Odyssey G7 then Series X looks always sharper more detailed. Arma Reforger, MSFS which demand powerful PC has no problem on the Series X and those games will probably never hit the PS marketplace.

Xbox series X Def worth picking up or trading in PS 5 for. An actual AAA 1st party roadmap & Gamepass. Quick resume back compat. G1 Jockey or Champion Jockey or Frankie Dettori/ Melbourne Cup challenge. I wish to come back compat on store with FPS boost. It would be amazing if we had a new AAA horse racing game career mode, OL racing and create a jockey OL would be great so many racing fans in UK/Ireland Australia France USA is a crying shame no company has come through and and made 1.
do not buy this trash. we constantly have issues even logging into our profile. we get constant white screen issues on login across the majority of accounts on the xbox. the only fix is apparently a soft reset, which we refuse to do due to how many save files arent yet backed up on cloud, which we cant do, because it wont let us login to said profile to back up the data.... also, It took us hours to play even a single game when we bought this device and its been nothing but a nightmare ever since. our handheld lenovo legion go plays games better than this hunk of junk and never has any bugs to deal with. steer clear of xbox. Their consoles these days are a convoluted mess. I spend more time troubleshooting than playing on this device. im shocked more people havent made a fuss about this. Microsoft and their ridiculous updates are constantly making their devices unusable. the 360 may be slower and less powerful, but atleast it functioned.... ever since the xbox one, their consoles have become so complicated to get working that you may aswell just get a PC. this is a console! Its supposed to be relatively plug and play! microsoft seems to have forgotten that.

The "X" in "Xbox Series X" stands for the Roman numeral "10", which is the number of generations that the Xbox has gone through. The first Xbox console was released in 2001, so the Xbox Series X is the tenth console in the Xbox family, hence the name "Xbox Series X" or "Xbox 10".
Thinking of buying one today
Yeah I’d say if you are more of a rpg enjoyer spring for play station or Nintendo
I've got an xbox one and needing an update. Do i go for the series s or x
Im mostly worried about the games I've got. I dont want to rebuy. All are digital but im still worried i wont be able to play them
Just get a series s since you only have digital games and no you can still play the games you already have
breakdown starts @ 0:44
gonna need that song name bud
I very nearly bought one in the black Friday sales, I ended up buying the PS5. I would buy one in 2024 if you could mod it like the original Xbox?
It's worth it on two levels for me:
1. Backwards compatibility.
I still have the og saints row, the og army of two, Fallout 3 and Fallout NV for xbox 360 from when I got them all 14 years ago for my 360. Now I can once again enjoy them.
2. Mods
Got a series x for black friday 2023, in may 2024 I got myself Fallout 4 for it and let me tell you something.....
After 8+years of playing it Vanilla, I am never touching it again without mods.
I also read somewhere that sometime down the line, Stalker 2 will also support modding for Xbox. It's just a win win.
120 fps on Master Chief Collection while avoiding cheaters on PC. That's my only motivation.
I bought an S back in 2021 cause the supply shortages wouldn’t end. I waited a whole year from 2020 to 2021 and eventually caved for the S cause I never thought I’d be able to get an x below like 800$. Now 3 years later I am thinking of upgrading
Im in the same situation as you, im planning on getting the series x
@@JoshGiddeyEnjoyer157did you get it yet? I would wait until black friday but my sister has military discount so i should be fine
@@toxiicmayhemzz6686 yeah i did and its the best investment ever, the graphical difference is like day and night
Pros:
Backwards compatibility
Media: renting or buying shows and movies on the Microsoft store
Graphics: top of the line specs in the console market.
Controller: ergonomic and familiar.
UI: simple
Cons:
Lack of first party games
there's still more first party games than playstation.
I rather like gamepass and the choices there. I have ps+ and not near as many games as game pass, sorry buy true.
If it wasn’t for the lack of games, it could have easily been my console of choice. But Microsoft is being lazy asses and not giving us any new games so PS5 it is then!
@@sergeestevesand all those games don't compare to the 2022 GOW, Spiderman 2 and Helldivers
It’s worth it for gta 6 alone
i have had the series S for awhile, should i get a series X? i’d figure the disc would be useful from time to time
I just traded in my Series S for the X at GameStop, and it’s been amazing and well worth the upgrade in my opinion. The disc drive and storage space alone makes it worth it for me, but the extra power is the cherry on top.
No. Buy a PC. You will thank me later. You can play xbox, pc and ps5 games.
I also prefer pc but
You cant play all xbox / ps5 exclusives
And it is very deficult to build a pc for 450usd that is equvilant to the consols performance ,
Pc seems complex and like a hassle also looks more expensive I think causally a console is better but it honestly varies person to person
PC's are too much hassle and the new 7 series and 40 series cards from both suck. They are barely an upgrade over last gen cards.
We thought it would be best if I got the Xbox so we could have best of both worlds 🤷🏼♀️ the cost just scares the crap out of me tbh 😅
get a series s!!! so worth it.
I might get one tommorow should i?
I’ve got a old ps4 slim and its loud and not so great at running games
i can play need for speed most wanted an all the old need for speed on my xbox series in dev mode !
is there something you need me to make a video on with my channel?
im think of buying one but i dont know to buy it or wait for the new xbox
is there something you need me to make a video on with my channel?
I've been loyal to xbox since the 360 but it's pretty damn bad now
Which platform would you recommend for achievement/trophy hunting
👀 2024 is stacked!!! This year- Hellblade 2, Avowed, Indiana Jones, COD Black Ops Gulf War, Towerbourne South Of Midnight Diablo 4. Console exclusive Stalker 2 and Ark 2 all Gamepass MLB The Show 24 NBA 2k24 about to and just came in.
Incredible variety and value Xbox is rocking and the true console to game on if your a gamer 💯💚
@@NinjaSquirrel30 would you recommend it over the ps5?
@@Knightfall76 300%
@@Knightfall76definitely not, ps5 has way better exclusives
It’s not fully backwards compatible, that sucks.
That is true! I still use my Xbox 360
you probably want to play wayyy more backwards compatible games then i do, but when i had my xbox one, the only backwards games i played were like cods
you can play Dishonored on Xbox series X.
What horrible fucking advice
@@annaki525 I agree kid !! They should take the video off !!!
Graphics just a tiny bit better??? .........are you only playing Minecraft 😂
At the end of all that he said I don't know 😂😂😂
I know pa5 is my main console I'm serious of getting the xbox x after my nephew giving me the xbox one s
Go for it! Why not 😄

Ya but where are the massive new gen games? GTA 6 in two more years? RDR3 in 2030?
Oh they will be on the next Xbox in 2026.
New skate game coming out, new fable game coming out, some good horror games coming out, ES7, gta 6, new ninja assassins creed game, idk I’m excited
Just buy batman return to arham bundle, which has arkham city and asylum
I'd just go into my attic and get my 360 to play the old games... lol
Every game i wanna play is either cross gen or ps5 exclusive so i dont even use my xbox anymore
When I did have one it sat and was basically a glorified 4K/Blu Ray Disc player, since I collect those. So I said nah, this thing is a dust collector. Then again I'm not a hardcore gamer at ALL.
Ultimate Game Pass would end the argument of it worth getting.
You spent over half the video talking about how the biggest selling point is how you can play games that you could otherwise play on the Xbox one. And even a shoutout to dishonoured. Originally a 360 game 😭 then recommend the only good game to come out is Forza (I don’t like racing games) and you’re trying to tell me it’s worth spending my entire life savings on??
This review just made me appreciate my PS5 even more
😅
idk bout that because xbox series x can play any ps1 ps2 psp gamecube wii xbox360 and more lol js i love my xbox over anything
Xbox series X For physical media yes get it right now guys !!!! because Xbox is going to make a new series x all digital there going to stop making them this summer !! and also this will be my last physical Xbox series x ever and I will stick with ps5 physical media for now.
