I got a OM642 3.0 V6 diesel to run in a w124. Still working on converting the dash to work and display all the gages with a raspberry pi
I had to put a diff from the new e class as well as a shortned driveshaft, i used the 7G tronic transmission that came with the engine.
I took this all out of a british w211 e320cdi. It fit quite eazly, the tunnel had to be ajusted a bit and thats all, i havent made the old shifter work with new trans, instead i made a new wood pieace with buttons D N R and P just so the car could drive. I need to install the diferential and shafts from the 211 as well

Yes you can. Depends on the engine

@@123works Good. Because my dream 123 would be a de-badged S123 with the M113 5 litre coupled to a 5G-tronic and wheels from a pre-FL W211. Assuming it's possible to fit rims from a 211 in an 123.
