If you watch the very beginning again you will see her making notes on the song cheat sheets, then you see the conductor read them and chuckle. Angelina had made changes in the arrangement of the song. Angelina has been arranging her music since she was 6 yrs.old. She has always selected her own music, then she will change the arrangement to match what she has heard in her head. There are videos out there of her going over the changes with the relevant players. This is also why she has such a connection with the music. She takes in the performance of someone singing a song she likes, then she distills it through her Angelina-rator and out comes a song with the magic written into it. Then she sings it like she owns it. That is what we feel when she sings, that ownership. It is her truth of the song, that she sings directly into our hearts.

I also used some very good information from Jorgen A, who was hospitalized in Indonesia with Covid-19. I wanted to let you know that he died last night. When Angelina was traveling with her family she met this girl about her own age who was shoeless. Angelina was so moved that she gave the girl her own shoes and vowed to perform barefoot until all the shoeless children in the world had their own shoes. From what I understand too she has started her own charitable foundation to bring that to fruition. She is not only a phenomenal singer she is a beautiful philanthropist too!!!

First, let me say that I love you and the way you react to performances, especially Angelina's. She's barely 9 years old here. I've seen all of Angelina's performances, and those of many other artists, and this is one of the most remarkable things I have ever seen. Not just Angelina's performance (which is truly UNBELIEVABLE), but the entire black and white production. Agree, and I think I have listened to every one at least a dozen times each.
First, let me say that I love you and the way you react to performances, especially Angelina's. She's barely 9 years old here. I've seen all of Angelina's performances, and those of many other artists, and this is one of the most remarkable things I have ever seen. Not just Angelina's performance (which is truly UNBELIEVABLE), but the entire black and white production. Moving to your next choice, with Angelina, you have so many videos to choose from, and since they are all terrific, you really can't go wrong. Here's one I recently discovered that was posted about the same time she was taping AGT (October, 2019). So she's 13 here, and this classic Frank Sinatra song shows her remarkable low range contralto voice. But after viewing her performance of "I Put a Spell on You" at the age of 9, look what she has become in just a few years short(4+). She looks like a 20 year old beautiful movie star.
