Finally I got it right! I watched so many videos and read so many people complaining that I was about to give up or even return the besta. I didn’t understand that the hinges to move the door side by side are the ones needed to align it with the top. I also have two doors one of top of the other and they were clashing. Life saver, I wish you much success on TH-cam!

I bought a besta 4 years ago and I was at the last step of the hinges, the factory tightened screws were so tight and impossible that not only did I end up stripping the screws I also ended up somehow blowing out the wood on the cabinet frame as well. I was so frustrated I ended up returning the whole thing. Now with my current living room set up the ONLY solution that works (and is affordable) is besta, but I was so worried I would mess it up right at the finish line again. Thank you SO MUCH for this video, offering a solution for the exact thing I was worried about, and added bonus of explaining everything those adjusting screws will do which is a HUGE help. Wish me luck!

Very nice summary. Arguably, one might start by attaching the hinges to the pre-drilled holes in the cabinet without having the weight on them, and only then hanging the door and screwing that into the hinges. Then proceeding with the adjustments. Might be easier than holding the entire door and hinges in the air while screwing the hinge into the cabinet with one hand.
First, great video. So helpful in adjusting the doors. What I don't understand is that the screws on my besta do not align with the holes in the side wall. Fixing them into the door, no problem, but once it come to attaching it to the main body, absolute disaster. The spacing isn't accurate so only 1 screw can go into a pre-drilled hole, the other needs to he drilled right into the wood. However, The ends of the screws I'm given are flat and the pre-drilled holes that do lign up with them are way too tiny. I just can't get those screws in!
@@CliffsHowTo by watching some other videos I have learned that those metal brackets are shelf dividers. Let’s say you have three doors. You’d install the bracket where the bottom shelf will be at the bottom of the door that opens. You’d install the other shelves in between with the little pegs for the holes. The shelf divider gets screwed in. Hope I explained that in an understandable way, since I’m envisioning as I’m typing. 😂
It's so funny I just put these brand new hinges on and within 2 weeks they both lost all compression and started dripping oil down the door now there's no more soft shut it Slams shut, it's like hydraulic shocks that blew on an old car. 😆
They're shelf brackets. For some reason, the hinge package has a set to hang a single shelf. It goes into the other pre-drilled holes, and they secure with one screw. Four brackets, one in each corner of a Bestå shelf.

Do you know what to do if the door doesn't close? The hinges look fine. I've built 3 cabinets, 2 are completely fine and 1 door just won't close

It’s probably stripped. There are a few ways to fix that. I don’t have a video on that, so you’d just have to search for something.

Doesn't the same logic apply when screwing the hinge on the cabinet?
So to make sure it goes right, you'd want to back them out as well.
