Praised for her vocal beauty, seamless technique, and abundant musicality, Nadine Sierra is being hailed as one of the most promising, young talents in opera today. She was named the Richard Tucker Award Winner in 2017 and was awarded the 2018 Beverly Sills Artist Award by the Metropolitan Opera. Having made a string of successful debuts at the Met, Teatro alla Scala, Opéra national de Paris, and Staatsoper Berlin, she has become a fixture at many of the top houses around the world. On August 24th, 2018, her debut album, There’s a Place for Us, was released under the Deutsche Grammophon/Universal Music labels.
Once the opera houses introduce glasses for audience members that translate the wonderful text of these productions into a recognisable visible language this genre will stop being a mystery to me. I know some theatres have introduced this for foreign language productions but it hasn’t yet reached the opera houses. I await a day this innovation takes root and finds its necessary thrust into our satiated choice machine.
All that is bull. I was there. The tone was buoyant, shimmering, warm, golden, sweet and full. She was clearly heard even when singing from back of the stage towards the end...i wasnt expecting her voice to still be heard like that. Nadine can do no wrong imo
@@mugrad25, I agree that her voice is quite beautiful. However, at about 1:50 she enters a beat ahead of the orchestra and stays there for several bars.
This is crazy good!! She is an absolutely amazing singer
Bravissima❤

Dio mio👍🙏
What production is this?
berlin
staatsoper..i was there..not a huge voice but it just floated everywhere...a gorgeous sound
This role suits her. But what in the heck is this production? :( I'm not feeling the vibe. But she's a vibe.
Its berlin so you know it has to be kinked up. I was there
All round poor attempt lacking warmth of tone and true legato, thin toned and terrible diction!
