I watched this lady tonight live at the Met singing the role of Violetta, it was a fantastic stage production from a stunning cast, especially the baritone and tenor, but this lady stole the show! Absolutely amazing, and with such apparent ease, the drama from her voice and acting was on another level.
I just discovered her too by the same means. I am still under the spell. A thing of such beauty, youth, talent and ease of performance gives hope to humanity in this sorely troubled time. BRAVO Nadine Sierra.
We opera goers want to live through certain moments of pure bliss and when the melody gets expansive on this aria, it's one of these moments. Puccini is very rewarding in every sense of the word for singers who can nail it like you did here. Those who say we can't have talent and beauty in one package know nothing about the experience of attending masterpieces like la Bohème. I'm full of hope and I foresee a great career for you Nadine.

@@mugrad25 MORE POWERFUL THAN COTRUBAS?!!?!😂 let me tell you something, Coutrubas was far more lyric, she used chest notes in the lower register and was entirely connected, it is far more powerful sound than this weak nasal head voice in the lower register that this Sierra has. It's a different technique and approach to the singing, Coutrubas is old school, I have heard both singers live and I speak from the experience...
