Amazing - one would expect that after a century undergrund wooden elements of the handle were completely rotten, but they somehow survived intact and in perfect condition, requiring only some sanding and polishing. Must be some magical place where this military camp was located, to preserve wood but make brass rusty.
It’s amazing that anyone found that knife at all!! Sort of looks like a dirt clod or doggy land mine! Great restoration job!! I like that style lock, it seems easy to deploy. Wonderful work.. thanks.
It looked like the knife was poorly made and put together with a quickness and then put through reverse Electrolysis to attract the rust to it then poorly restored but idk how does Brass Rust and wood not completely erode away
Amazing! However, I think that knife probably wasn’t outdoors in the dirt 105 years. I think if it was that long there would have been much less of it remaining! 😂
If using electrolysis to remove rust, be sure to expose raw, clean rustfree metal at the contact point. You will get far better results. That kinfe is less than 100 years old
rusty brass is a good trick, must have took a while to get that effect, and were that a genuine "105" years lost knife then it is ruined from the historical artefact point of view
Rusty brass? Really?!? The fake before condition of so many utube restoration videos severely diminishes any quality of the restoration. You shouldn’t try to fool the gullible people who might not be aware of what’s going on.
Generally speaking, when an individual claims an item is x or y years old, I would expect that individual to present some corroborating evidence to support that claim. Photographs, historical drawings from catalogues etc. In the absence of this I assume the person is just making stuff up.
The video description says that the knife was found at a WWI military camp site. Perhaps "105 years old" is based on the knife being restored 105 years after the end of WWI in 1918. At 0:09, it is called a 19th century pocket knife. I've done some image searching and cannot find a knife that looks like this.
for 105 years old it looks good and it sure got it's youth back
Dope AF results, @15MIN.RESTORATION!

I think those scale pieces were bone rather than wood.
Perfect restoration 10/10... all the history is still within that knife...
❤
An excellent, interesting and informative video, thank you.
That was incredible, had no idea there'd be brass under that rust. Now if it could only tell you the stories about who its owner was.
yeah been wondering how he got it to stick on lol, same with it is "105" years lost, maybe the same fella who is going to tell the stories
@@andyc750Exactly what I was thinking! then he cleans it up with some pickle juice, cool aid and foaming toilet bowl cleaner !
A great find and a great restoration.
Thanks ❤️

Muy buena restauración 👏👏👏👏🇦🇷
Great work dude. This was amazing to watch.
This looks real good after renovation. 🙂🙂
É muito bom ver um objeto tão antigo e praticamente "morto" voltar a vida. Parabéns.
Thanks, very interesting.
How do you know it was underground for 105 years? Was there a note with it?

The only thing 105 years old about that knife was the dirt....but hey you fixed it...

It must be magic; no other way would turn a junk knife covered with mud into a junk knife full of pits.
Did you ever try to hold the part with a pair of pliers hold the part that you are buffering on the wire wheel.
I have doubts this was made before the 1970's. But yeah good job "cleaning" it up.
First time in a 105 years it has been used to cut a tomato
I'm curious to know where you found this because I too collect war memorabilia. Thanks
Did a very good job! But,how do you know it is 105 years old and not 106 or 104years old?
Where'd you find it it's nice

How you say the article under restoration is 105 years old
Don't bluff viewers
Не Проще было сперва в Керосине его Отмочить? !

Это кусок экскремента вы называете "отреставрированным"???

If it looks like shit, smells like shit then it’s probably shit
the pitting was a bear....
you use a lot of force be more gentle with artefacts like this
Actually he did a horrible job at trying to restore the knife
Such poor work, you should really do better
When you gonna restore that stupid yellow hammer😂😂😂😂
I like the hammer
I call BS…
can you prove its 105?
Честно хрень можно было лучше.
