these guys are so much better and innovative then the whole 350 million odd american stuff.awesome ive booked mark this now get u guys send me a kit australia.u will hear it on lotsa recordings....
Why do you shield all the cavities, but not attach the MIDI cavity to main cavity, and neither are attached to ground? The shielding doesn't do anything if it isn't grounded!
I got one of these controllers from crimson a few months back, and installed it in my tele clone along with a fernandes sustainer (great combination), with help from their first install video. I deleted the power switch, replacing it with an out of sight jack power cut off, and replaced the chrome led push button for a black model from ebay to match my black knobs (a little soldering needed). Thanks for the earthing tip, I'll get onto the fix it tomorrow. Might it be an improvement to also cover the controller box with foil? With a cut out for the led?
Third commandment of guitar tone: thou shalt not make any graven tone, such as digital modeling. This is an affront to analog and will result in obscure adjectives being used to describe your sound.
it's funny to hear a man with a bald head full of tattoos talking in a very 'posh' accent (sorry English isn't my native language so could be wrong ;) anyways... awesome build :)
Steve Veasey It's worse.. a mix of South African and southern English! I do like the dichotomy of my tattoos and personality.. I am not what I seem at first glance :) Did you enjoy the video? It's the first I've filmed that's then been edited by someone else.. I love what they have done!
congratulations, the highest honor for advancing the performance of the instrument of the guitar! how did you gather to bypass the american property rights of a touch pad midi controller for musical instruments currently owned by american inventor Lester Ludwig. maybe just use the advanced technique & technology for custom-made instruments instead of mass produced! cheers !!!
Crimson Guitars didn't make the MIDI controller, AMPTONE LAB did. He just put it in the guitar. Besides it is possible that Lester Ludwig licensed the technology to them. You can make money off a patent unless you have people using your technology. And if you do not have the means to mass produce it, you license it out.
may be just as well, i wouldn't think some people that looked like that would be worthy of distributing the advanced musical technology. they look like the villians in the movie "Mad Max"! ;)
Don't judge a book by it's cover He has built guitars for Robert Fripp and we all know what a prickly pear Fripp can be,so I think he is alright bloke. He just likes his tattoos. Besides what should one look like when distributing advanced musical technology? One those douches behind the counter at Guitar Center?
uhhhhhh... OH MY GOD! The sonic possibilities have officially blown my mind out of the water.
Blessings to you, your attention to detail and your obvious love of the craft!
Ben Crowe of Crimson Guitars is one of the finest Master Luthiers in the business.
Interesting video...can't think of one thing I'd use one of those things for, but at least now, I know how to install one!
love the light saber effect
Cool to see you Premier Guitar dude.
You can use blue painters tape it doesn’t stick permanently. 💚
Professional all the way! Thanks for the tutorials. AweSome

39:10 .... super villain "excellent"
Does this have any musical application? For instance, controlling Logic or Mainstage, rather than just making noise?
Did they fix the earth problem yet?
I so want one
good programme
Why 2 outputs and how do you plug it straight to amp Just a 2-1 connector?

Sounds like you've made a manson telecaster model or so😂
AWESOME! 😲👍🏻
Epic thanks for the video ♡♡♡♡♡
For what is the channel button useful if you use kaoss pad ?
hey, where can i get one of them control plates for the telecaster
Any way you can show how to install a bigsby on a telecaster modern player plus or thinline?
Where can I get a MIDI pad for one of my guitars
it's fine on pc
Which model Triton router is that? THX!
How much centimeters should have the guitar under the strings? if i put the midiPad in a Cort Manson signature guitar it will be enought space?
+Sanjey White you will never get it on a Cort MBC 1!! you have got a tune o matic bridge on it, there is not space!
+Josh Roberts you could get a manson M1N1 touch pad on an mbc1
+henri best possibly, never really installed one, only the standard size.
+Josh Roberts i reckon it would fit. would just have to route cavities for the fuzz somewhere else if you wanted one
adjusting your truss rod is DIY, changing your pickups is DIY, installing a MIDI Pad is so friggin not DIY.
great haircut

"...and will result in obscure adjectives being used to describe your sound." Too true.
Thepeacemaker6342 Yes! Learn some Johnny Hiland Licks instead!
Jonathan Dooley I break all the rules.
Do i have to tattoo my head to make it work? :p just kidding, thanks for the info
Congrats, 6 years later and people still know you ask dumb questions.

Crimson Custom Guitars awesome vid, something completelydifferent
I like all the Crimson Guitar videos, a lot of it is not something I would consider doing myself but I love how you show the processes involved.
Crimson Custom Guitars Like a nice, accented, lighter version of Kerry King.
I'm sorry if that sounds like an insult. It's totally not.
And this is better than using my feet, how?
Where's your video?
