  • The Koala mattress is one of the most popular mattress in a box products in Australia. In fact, they were one of the first companies to revolutionize the direct-to-consumer mattress in a box space in the country. It recently brought out its New Koala range to compete with similar players like Ecosa and Sleeping Duck, now offering a customisable mattress to suit your individual needs.

I have had Koala for three years now, and I have been having soar and painful back in the mornings for around a year now. Looking to change it as I think Koala is a pretty bad mattress and waste of money. I would stay away from this company. Don’t be fooled by their great marketing campaign! I can not make comment on Ecosa because I haven’t owned one.

It's disappointing to learn that the Koala mattress is no longer made in Australia. It was going to be my next mattress pick.

would you say the new koala is firmer than the ecosa overall? On its firmest settings that is.

In my opinion, the New Koala (in its firmest setting) is slightly firmer than the Ecosa! But they are certainly quite similar across all their features, so the choice can be difficult. Being someone who enjoys a medium firmness mattress and a side/stomach sleeper, I found the Ecosa just slightly more comfortable than the New Koala.

Any mattress that comes in box is not worth the money and waste of time on my opinion

Thanks for watching Enver and for taking the time to comment with your opinion and experience with Koala. As with many things, mattresses are a pretty personal purchase and what works for one person might not work for another! Hopefully you'll find the right mattress fit for your needs soon!
